No hate guys, but I think you guys did not properly analyzed Kanao as a character and her whole backstory. Or maybe it's just me since you guys were probably caught up in subs. Anyways, even daily life of Kanao is probably a challenge for her, since she don't make decisions herself. She is a very significant character later, so I suggest you rewatch this episode. Love you guys.❤

to be fair the show didn't go into the extent of the abuse that explains why Kanao is the way she is, like in the manga if she and her siblings cried they got hit or their face shoved into water so they couldn't breath, this trauma made Kanao a locked-in person who doesn't show emotions or ask for anything since she was "trained" to be complient
