Agree. If I was at his level of producing and was making dancefloor dnb that sounded like this I'd be constantly churning out tracks trying to get signed by a label. Bought your preset pack as a thank you mate, looking forward to adding it to the collection! Is the mid bass included in the serum presets?
I just found it yesterday by pure luck 😃it's this one: splice.com/sounds/samples/d5f86cc9428947eb23106aa5494df21d9f9f97756c978e36192aea1681411358/dropgun-samples-edm-vocals-female-hooks-leads-sample
I've noticed a lot of dancefloor dnb sounds like the bass seems to meld together really well with the kick and snare - like it's clear if you listen closely that there is some kind of ducking going on but it sounds less obvious than in the track you're making here. A good example of what I'm thinking of would be "Trip" by Sub Focus and Metrik. Imo it feels like a much more driving bass sound. Any insight on how to achieve this? I've tried a couple things like using multiband compression for the side chain so that the top end of the bass sound can poke through a bit more when the kick hits and making sure the kick drum fundamental freq is tuned to the tonic note, and have gotten somewhat decent results but I'm wondering if you have any insight on this? Maybe it's more of a clever illusion than what I'm thinking?
Please keep doing dance floor dnb walkthroughs, there are hardly any online and yours are legendary, cheers
