They get money back on the clothes .That's why they do it. What's really sad is when you look in Wal-Mart dumpster and it full of unexpired food and they are throwing it out so they don't have to pay taxes on for inventory. They also are repaid for what they pitch.
I've been watching for a couple of months now and been hooked I did my fist dumpster dive I'm in Alabama and I did dollar general and I went to two different ones and I found all together 30 bags of cat food and dog food the bags was good no holes I donated it to the animal shelter

Ikr! I was thinking about the same thing..I worked in book factory yrs ago, even there they dumped extras, imperfect book& Bibles,etc in a grinder & made bails for recycling.They couldn't donate them bc of something in there contracts.Ridic isn't it.
Finally, someone wearing gloves! This is so crazy, the teachers in my state walked out because there is no money for books, they end up paying for supplies from their own pockets and some one is throwing books and school supplies away! away. So incredibly frustrating, thank you for what you're doing!!
Amy Lynn Hunt I'm in India and here follow a pri elegies life i.e. I went to an elite school and had a family car pick up and drop and always had supplies and books..at school and around the neighborhood however we were taught every year to donate old text books,uniforms and also tear out unused pages from our writing books which we bound into new copies and gave away to the less privileged.its amazing to me to see the kind of excess and waste of perfectly good merchandise that so many could benefit from..I understand the economics of price fixing but there has got to be a better way

So... after watching y’all videos for a couple of weeks my wife and I went out for the first time and hit up some dumpsters. The haul included 7 ginger bread houses from cvs retail 19.99 each. Some hot cocoa mixes. And some candy canes. All sealed and dry. Next stop 8 packages command strip hanging hooks retail 4.15 each pack. A squishy human body model. Retail 18.75. And 77 packs of some drawer scents @1.75 per pack retail. Needless to say kinda got hooked after only 1 evening of searching. All and all a good night. Happy hunting all

Stephen, those folded boxes ( foot rests ) need to have another flat square piece to go in the bottom to stabilize it. Steve could make them and you can cover them. It's amazing how sturdy that other square makes them. Spread the glue all over the square, then cover and staple to back.😚
Envelopes are great for people that make their own cards. Sell them cheap enough and people will buy them. I was given a box full and I took them to church and we let the kids make cards for patents for different holidays and now we had envelopes for the kids to put their homemade card in.
I'm utterly DISGUSTED !!!!! There are so many homeless people and disadvantaged people who would be so grateful of the clothes but the store destroyed them. Its sad and sickening !!!

Bob is an oil painter who was awesome. Taught everyone that they can have fun with paint. Only 3% actually painted, the rest loved the calm sound of his voice. He died in 1975 I think but is still an icon in painting with thousands of people teaching his wet on wet method of oil painting worldwide. 😁. You can find his T V shows on both TH-cam and Netflix.

It sucks but generally this is the companies policy and if employees are caught not destroying the items, or giving them away they consider it as theft and can result in termination.
Years ago I worked in McDonald’s and every night we had to cover waste foods in this blue chemical to stop homeless people eating from the bins. It was so sad because they were right outside and it gets wasted anyway so what’s the problem? But rules were rules. A girl got sacked because she took waste fries and gave them away.
A school cafeteria is funded by tax dollars; even if the school uses private contractors, our taxes pay for the food. SO it makes no sense to not let the homeless eat the leftovers.

I asked Is it illegal to dive here he said Technically its' private property, however the law states whatever is in the trash is ANYONE'S lol, and the only way I have to STOP lmbu is if the store sees me on camera they all have cameras i'm sure , they will have to step in, he said "that people like to dump their own trash " I said I know it's really bad , I said' I've cleaned up so much junk around all the dumpsters, I said I only want what they throw out, and the end. lol oh I also found a gift credit card. 3.50 on it :)

I would! :) Almost all of my craft stuff was given to me, the best from my sweet best friend who was downsizing. Crafting stuff is depressingly expensive, I know people will appreciate anything! So many things can be used to make cards, if it can be glued on, it's possible :0)
