So proud of the guys in Etown as i grew up with them as kids. Ted P lived 3 houses up from me and he was incredibly gifted as a bass player and then picked up drums so quickly. I remember them in the beginnings of Etown them playing in Teds garage in the summer with the garage door closed.
Cool interview, some of my best memories we’re seeing Etown at various VFW’s,Firehalls,Legion Halls Etc. during the red and green demo’s,One in particular was the Bloomingdale Firehall in NJ it was a blizzard out and I just had gotten my license so a little sketchy of a ride but it was Etown and Candiria on the bill,by the end of the show there was like a foot of snow on the ground, somehow we made it home safe, another one was at the Marlboro,NJ VFW,it was Etown and Fury of Five on the bill and the biggest room clearing fight broke out during Etown’s set, what seemed like the entire crowd went from inside to battling it out outside lol good times!!
Lol I started going to shows in 03 so a bit later but I remember being at the troc in philly when I was 13 or 14 for Madball, H2O, Righteous Jams, and Blacklisted and pretty much the whole venue broke out into an all out brawl. Freddy is pissed and eventually over half the venue clears out, Madball finishes their set, I leave and just see ambulances and cops galore w dudes on stretchers. What a lineup though, damn I'd love to see Blacklisted or RJ again.
Stone pony, asbury skate park lol then I pull up to ozzfest one year get outta the car and DAMN ! IS THAT ETOWN!?? YA FUCK DRINKING GUYS IM GOING INTO THE SHOW. Just so happens I had my ETOWN #5 jersey on and Anthony saw me in the pit and gave me a shout out.
RIP all the great NJ venues. All we got now is starland... its good but its not the same. you dont feel the floor buckle a little during a sick pit like the birch hill..
1994 bro Fury of V, Etown, 2nd to none, blood for blood, Madball, 25 ta life, Agnostic front, Hatebreed, Sick of it All, UBHC VBC Gutwrench, Wisdom in chains, Strength in Numbers, Biohazard, NJ BLoodline RIP All those that built the scene th-cam.com/video/Yz_IdgdCli0/w-d-xo.html
