1991 was the very last year for the squarebodies. Just the regular cab pickups "half tons & three quarter tons only" were done in 1987 & same with the one ton regular cab pickups in 1989.
Correct. For the people that know this we didn't feel it needed explaining. However having to explain this to people that don't know and having them assume these cup holders will fit their 1991 1/2ton Truck. This is why we haven't listed these as fitting 73-91. So to recap: 73-87 1/2 ton, 88- 91 3/4 ton and 1 Ton, Plus Suburban Square body Style.
@@lsfab4607 & the square bodies were the first Chev & GMC fullsize pickups to have bigger cabs "crew cabs" as an option which was introduced in 1973 & 1973 was the first year for the square bodies too like you said. The crew cabs were only available on the 3/4 ton & 1 ton models & they only had the 8ft long fleetside box unlike the ones nowadays that are available on 1/2 ton models too with the shorter boxes.
Works with the SM465 and 73-80 Transfer cases, does come close to the 81-91 TCases in the square bodies but guys have lived with not going into 4low or just sliding the cup out of the way when going into 4 low.
When the video moves from the back of the bed to the inside of the cab, the stainless steel plate goes from flat to bent at the mounting slot. I take it that we have to make that bend, correct?
I have them in my 82, great product. I wish I would have gotten the jumbo version to fit travel mugs though.

How does this fit with a Muncie 4 on the floor and transfer lever?

No all holders come pre bent for your specific truck era. I used a new bracket in the back bed clip. No CGI here. Good eye! 😉👍

We've been in the same boat. Those XL Double Double coffees get pretty hot near my junk so decided to get me one of these cup holders. Lol.
