With a water park theres not as much concentrated chlorine as there are in pools to kill certain bacteria. Chlorine has to be a certain concentration for a certain amount of time to kill specific bacteria and viruses

    • @504RoadTrips
      @504RoadTrips 5 ปีที่แล้ว +48

Cynthia Hansen pools don’t typically have any connection to sewers. But when you have a lot of kids in a pool, the pool becomes a sewer.
I looked this place up and the articles I read all said fecal matter in the water. Lots of bad reviews about other things including the hotel.

Flesh eating bacteria is contained within air bubbles in water. You have to get it up your nose, or in another opening, and you have to be in an environment warm/humid enough to pop the bubble. This is why you see more cases in the south

I was a lifeguard in high school and college. The kids were always urinating in the pool. Wathching them from above was entertaining. If they stop playing with their friends, standing still, chances are they are taking a pee. I am sure a huge indoor water park accumulates an insane amount of urine and feces. Ughh

I'll tell you one problem. Public pools letting any child in the pools with diapers. Even the swimmers! Poop does leak and some kids may have diarrhea and some would never know. I am a preschool teacher. Really bad diarrhea can get all over. It does happen! So who's to say it wouldn't happen in a pool? What makes anyone think it's okay to let any child who wears diapers, in a pool? That is most likely where the contamination is coming from. You just never know where anyone's been, even a child. People who have opened wounds too! They could be exposing staph and Aids and all sorts of shit. The staff at the pools i go to in GA inspect everyone from head to toe and i honestly think any child with a diaper should not be allowed in the pool.

Coco Key had so many problems.
The one near Chicago didn’t last long enough for us to visit.
The whole outside of our house was decorated like Key West.

All public pools that little kids are in and even adults have fecal matter in all of them do the fact that most people just don't wash back there and or their kids decide to take a shit in the water, the public pool that I would go to in the state of Indiana they would not allow you anywhere near the pool unless you'd taken a full-on shower there on premises they had a big sign that said scrub your ass good and they even provided soap and shampoo for you.

There had been a shooting at that hotel, one dead and five in the hospital. It was during the crime investigation that they uncovered tons of health and safety violations. The hotel was given a timeframe to bring things up to code, and they could not. I don’t know what the violations were, but they must have been pretty bad, because the hotel section had to be demolished and not just repaired.

Hi Robb, I enjoyed watching your video of that abandoned water park, that is still looking remarkably pristine and in good shape.
I think they woldn't have had this dangerous bacteria problem, if they just had used more chlorine to desinfect the water. - But however
I liked once more your excellent filming and commenting very much, and I am always looking forward to your new adventures. - Stay safe,
and keep on exploring. - Blessings and kindest regards from Switzerland.

This is in my home town. I remember when they closed the water park. The hotel was demolished because it was going down hill. There were several incidents, including a murder. The hotel itself was beginning to show it's age and had dwindling guest counts. At one point it was the premier place to stay. There are talks of building a casino/resort there and re-opening the water park.

This place was nice back in the day. Then, after changing hands several times, the owners/investors let it go to shit. Apparently the investors were so greedy they were willing to risk peoples health in an effort to squeeze a little more profit out of the resort.

Be careful about shopping carts too. They looked at handles under microscopes of random grocery carts and saw fecal matter on them. People are nasty. Some never wash hands even after going to the restroom. I hate public restrooms. I wipe the handle on carts with antibacterial wipes before I touch them. Also buffets are bad. Can you amagine all the stuff on those spoons in the food.Everyone touching them. I dont even like to eat out, although I do, sometimes. When I come in from any place, I wash my hands really good. Although I have to watch my husband. Hes not much of a hand washer. I hand him the wetwipes in the car. Always carry them.

That flesh eating bacteria is really dangerous and kills real fast. I've seen reports of many death's from the bacteria in 2019. Shame about the water park, Looked like major fun. I see 5 or more different birds. True on the restaurant comment. Nice collection of pools, Sad they had to close it, yet I wouldn't go there if it wasn't properly cleaned. Lol loved the carpet in the office. Awesome pretzel machine. It would need a major bleach cleaning and health inspection.

Wow!!! This place looks so similar to H2 Oasis in Anchorage, Alaska. Same size and similar decor. However, it’s so sad with how slimy and gross H2 is being run that half the rides NEVER work, there is actual slime around the locker rooms, people have gotten injured and sick due to falls or eating the food and management his hanging on by a thread. The only reason it’s staying open is because it’s the only water park in Alaska. It makes me sad that H2 Oasis might actually succumb to the fate of this Orlando waterpark any day now. Please be careful when walking around there and possibly buy a hazmat suit for your next explore. Safety First! Hugs to you and Kristy! Stay safe!

Ive been scared of mold my whole life, I wont go into why because that will take forever. A waterpark I used to go to every day got closed recently because there was a black mold infestation. It was always a fun waterpark, but one time my best friend accidentally swallowed some water in there and immediately puked (most likely because of the mold) I always used to cough like crazy when I entered, but I always thought it was from the chlorine, as that was the only waterpark that happened at. I have a bunch of other storys there about the mold effecting me or my friends without even realizing, but im not goimgto go into detail, but yall can ask me about some in the replys.
