Respect on this man for letting his Son be happy and participate. Never snuff a child's candle when they're having fun and wanting to be part of something. That's a good Daddy!!
I've run long tail go devils from Warren down below Venice back in the 80's. Him n his son Lance stayed with Mr.Jimmy Bayhi at his camp/house. Mr.Jimmy ran 18-25 horse go-devils on Reno lake skiffs for fishing, trapping, alligator lines etc. Also ran up n down Miss.river back n forth to Venice. I also ran 25 horse on an Alweld 16ft.for same things. Enjoyed many a day n night w Warren n Lance. My son also liked Lance to come down river so the could cut up together in the marsh n river. They were 10 or so. Great folks at go devil n are great Christians n so true their word. ENJOY the boat n motor as much as we did back in the day
Sweet boat there buddy. I happen to have the same boat but in a center console version. You talkin about some shallow back lake marsh fishing here in south tx, these boats go were no other boat would dare to go. Those early morning sunrise reds are the best to catch. Awesome video.
Hello, Jared, been watching your videos for quite some time but have never commented. Like you, my ancestors came from another country, France to Canada then migrated down the U.S. to central Louisiana where they settled in Avoyelles Parish. Know that I thoroughly enjoy watching your hunting and fishing videos, including your cooking activities as I have always loved cooking. Keep up the good work !!!
Congrats on the new rig. Got to know Coco and Godevil through Duck Commanders and Phil Robertson hunting together years ago. We used their boats in the marsh below Sweet Lake South of Lake Charles. Started a revolution.
That is an awesome set up. You are living the life. According to google maps St Bernard Parrish is a little over 900 miles from me. I might never get there but you and some good seafood has been added to my bucket list. You are living the life. Enjoy you videos.
You got a fine boat there Jared 👍 cream of the crop. I wanted the 1860 but had to go with 1848 because where I’m at it’s all cypress and Tupelo swamp so solid trees everywhere no marsh.
Lots of guys run bass boats and john boats set up for regular lake/river stuff with a few jet guys on the Rivers around DC/VA, but I'm thinking about going with something more like this when I buy my first good boat Might reach out to these guys, Pops seems a stand up guy who knows his craft well. We have a lot of underwater boulders the size of a car on the Potomac
Nice Rig!! Those air cover nuts have always been notorious for coming loose and falling off. I live in Venice and find them all up and down HWY 23. Heck I lost my first one way back in 06! Seems like Briggs would have figured something out by now. lol
I’ve been in and around boats my entire life. I really like what the man said” if you want one boat to do everything..forget it”...If I lived in your area this would be the boat to have.. for sure. Only thing I don’t like is the noise.
Congratulations, coco is an outstanding guy. Looking forward to getting off the banks and out and about on the water. Could you sho how those sheep fish get cooked sometime??
Congratulations on the new boat man! What a first trip!! I know you can’t wait till duck season! I’m counting the days myself! What area y’all fishing at? Keep vids coming! Kelly
Great channel!! Great boat!! I grew up with the 18' Go-Devil with the original long tail. Can you let us know the month and year of when the videos are being filmed? Just so we all know when the spots you fish and hunt are good to go.
Nice new boat. I know u beyond happy. I just would like to ask you how comfortable those seats are. My brother just ordered me one for me to fish out of on my boat
Hey Jared , Beautiful boat ! Perfect for the bayou !!! Those reds and sheepshead didn’t see you coming, because you tore them up😂can’t wait to fish again down there next October!
I love your videos . Cook it all...thats why I watch. Just to learn new ways to catch and and cook fish. Keep going brother your going in the right direction. 😊.it would be nice if you responded to your fans though. I've sent message a couple of times and didn't get any response.
Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it. And I searched my comments and this is the only one I am seeing from your account. Maybe it didn't go through
I would like to see a comparison of the speeds of the Go-Devil vs a gator tail. I am looking into buying a new rig and can't seem to find a good comparison.
Yeah man I’m sponsored so I wouldn’t be able to do that. What hull will you be using? My best guess is that they are very similar in speeds if put on the exact same hull.
What a Gorgeous New Boat 🎊🎉🌠. Your Blessed with a good Spirit Taday!!!!! I've never seen such a consistent haul 🔥. I know some Folks don't like to freeze Fish. Did you put up the Sheepshead? JO JO IN VT 💞💨❄️
Anyone here have experience with surface drives on skinny gravelly rivers? I know they'll be fine on the logs. I currently run an outboard jet. Need something that can do what it does, but handle the mud and salad like a surface drive
Longtails get around good in mud but are hard to handle and much slower. Surface drives have lots of moving parts that could break but are much more efficient, easier to drive, and faster
What made you go with the GoDevil vs the ProDrive GatorTail and MudBuddy? I personally have a 2054 ProDrive. I absolutely love it. There’s a couple of things I don’t care for or would like to change about it but overall I love it. That FPR has gotten me out of a jam maybe once or twice 🤫 😂 God Bless
Well It’s different when you are choosing not only the motor but a sponsor as well. I chose Go Devil because of the long-standing reputation for reliability and customer service. They are a smaller company than some of the others so I believe that’s allows them to be more hands-on with their customers but also to take more time and care into building the product. They are all good motors but Go Devil just felt like the best fit for Outside the Levees. Warren and I share a lot of the same passions about conservation and history too.
Howdy. Glad to have found you through deermeat. I'm starting a channel myself and I'm struggling with where to go for editing. Can you share with me where/how you learned to edit? Any help is greatly appreciated! Looking forward to following your channel. Great job so far!!
I learned to edit just by doing it. Be patient it takes time. Give yourself at least a year before you feel really comfortable with it. I use Final Cut Pro. Best of luck.

what about a trolling motor on the front?

what does the "Blue Tail" mean on a red fish?
From feeding on forage like crabs that eat the blue green algae in the shallows & ponds
I’ve heard it means they are actively feeding but I want to do a little research before putting that out there
