The Beolab 8002, an upgrade to the venerable Beolab 8000, included new drive units driven by two 125W ICE amplifiers. As stated by B&O, the sound quality remained unaltered, therefore this can be interpreted as a range rationalization rather than a drastic redesign of a beloved classic.
Although the mode LED was moved, everything else appeared to be running smoothly. The previously installed phono socket was replaced with a three-way switch for room positioning. There was just one Powerlink socket available, like before.

is it better than normal 8000 or 8000 mk2 ?

It’s a personal preference and choice of sound. The ice power amplifies inside the Beolab products are more ice and cold sound than Beolab 8000.
