The girl from Belgium, Williams, showed her empathy and compassion towards her opponent who probably damaged a few tendons or ligaments. Some people are beautiful on the outside and the inside such as Williams. Somewhere there’s a lucky guy, but he better remember she’s a black belt.

These women will never be 100% again, and will for the rest of their lives walk with a limp and in pain. This is the result of seeking glory, winning vs. losing... Judo as a sport... Instead of Judo being a Budo, a self-defense. All Randori would be tightly controlled for learning purposes, and ego are left off the mats... When it turned into a sport with winner and loser, reckless behaviors are the results... Traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu taught by competent and moral Senseis will never allow reckless behaviors in dojos under any circumstances.

Thanks for this. I recently broke my ankle. So I was just curious about how common it is to break an ankle.

    Thank you for sharing this
It’s funny the amount of people who don’t know judo who think judo is safe
    Judo is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
and those were only knee injuries
No mention of the amount of deaths that happens yearly and people put in wheel chairs...

When one time I had an opportunity to Randori with national team Judoka, it felt really dangerous I was in fear of potential injuries, lucky me that I survived at least. Honestly this could happen anywhere anytime if the Judoka who is at high level.

Amandine Buchard won the gold medal by ippon, and she was the least happy gold medalist by ippon that I guess I'll ever see (if you watch after she finishes walking Shishime over to her team and turns away to return to the mat).

I mean, considering that the clip you pointed to was a ground transition, not a throw and was an accident due to kind of the bottom person acting wrong, yeah, you are in all accounts the asshole and should be banned.

They aren't similar if you don't understand leg locks please don't compare them to anything especially standing injuries.
