Some very intriguing commentary, really enjoyed the video. On an ironic level, I've watched many videos on here pertaining to corporate failures, and Blockbusters was definitely one of those examples, but this is the first time I've been introduced to your channel. Maybe the algorithm was taking notes after all 🤣
Can easily see, similar to JustEat and similar outlets trampling upon the traditional restaurant sit-down model post-pandemic, local bars and pubs being the next industry to be hit heavy with this, as you put it, 'efficient consumption'. Going out has become cumbersome, expensive and a lot less popular with our generation. I don't know what it would look like, but I could easily see a Netflix for drinkers in the very near future.

hahaha super glad you enjoyed! and yup, it's just a matter of what will be the tipping point for each industry before consumers demand the in person, 'inefficient' experience. food and drink, i think, is one of those industries which i'd be shocked goes fully 'efficient', the experience of so many of these places is predicated on the interaction with service people, other customers, and enjoying the ambiance of bars, restaurants, etc. at least that's my hope lol
