First, thank you so much for doing this reaction, really appreciate it ~ hope you'll perhaps consider doing more in the future Small misread on the profiles, but Hannah is Laos-American but has lived in Thailand for part of her childhood and then moved back to Laos and gained some fame as an actress there and she is the first Laos idol to debut in T-POP. Actually Laos is relatively small population-wise but their language and culture is very similar to Thai so we consider them our brothers and sisters and Laotians consume Thai media mostly. Totally understand if you're not a fan of girl-crush, don't worry, they also have a lot of songs that aren't girlcrush but there are also plenty of other groups to check out. Hot2Hot is definitely one of my new favourites from them and I love the Latin vibe from this song mixed with the East Asian usage of fans. The long-haired girl is Aheye (Ah-eye) and she is the main vocalist and youngest of the group, definitely a favourite for alot of people since she has it all. My bias is Punch and I definitely agree with some resemblance to Minnie and I'm hoping for an interaction between them at some point but all I've seen so far is Punch commenting on MINNIE's posts sometimes. Just a tip, in Thai names, when there is a consonant followed by a H it is 9/10 times. So Pharita is "Parita" and Thailand is "Tailand" ~ just wanted to let you know. It's understandable that you compare them to K-POP, modern day T-POP has definitely taken alot of inspiration in regards to production value and focus on MVs to attempt to be on par with K-POP as well as intensive practice regimes ~ since K-POP is so popular, it's basically setting a standard that all other groups must be able to match. Thai people especially are big fans of K-POP, so if they see sub-par groups, they would rather just go and listen to K-POP whereas 4EVE has successfully gained a solid fanbase. Also, T-POP groups rarely stick to one concrete style which is a turn-off for some funs, but personally, I like it since you never really know what to expect from a group's comeback. The budgets are still very different with the big labels in K-POP but all the production including both the song and MV are done by Thais which I really love. The Thai entertainment scene is already pretty big and there are alot of international fans of Thai series and some have branched into exploring T-POP and Thai music so my hope is that it grows even bigger and T-POP idols will have more and more promotions internationally. You should know that K-POP isn't entirely original either, so it pains me a little when you say that but they are by far the most famous and successful in regards to the world of idols and have definitely set the bar. Thailand and T-POP has had idol groups for a long time (The first girlgroup debuted in 1980 but in regards to 'idols' I would say the 90s in when the first proper 'idols' were formed) but admittedly the popularity came in periods but right now the T-POP idol market (The music scene outside idol groups was already big but now idols have become semi-mainstream in Thai media as well).
@@MadaraxUchiha Definitely has to be Punch since I like her contrasting attitude that also reminds me of Minnie haha. She looks fierce on Camera but in reality and all behind the scenes, she's super cute ~ that's the ideal type right there.
