It was a pleasure not only to view this unique fabulous property but also, to hear the history, love, passion and pride in the finished build that the architect/resident has.
What a beautiful vision for this space. She should have her own show!!!!!!!! An absolute talent! This is what passion and love looks like! I loved every minute. Thank you!
Just wow. It is one thing to do something beautiful but this is another level of making beauty in small space with complications. And they did it so functionally too!
This lady speaks so well and is very talented and seems humble. I love her taste, the house is beautiful but lived in. She seems like a cool person who's be a great girl friend!
That is a stunning house (in a great location) indeed. Love how the interiors have been sensitively considered against the building's heritage and the views. Magnificent.
Wow, this is amazing! TBH I haven’t seen a better conversion in London. Im kind of struggling to pick a favourite here. I suppose I really like son’s bedroom. Looks really cozy
On the whole, this is wonderful! Two things I wouldn’t do, though, are the “infinite” reflecting bathroom interior and the glass enclosed stairway landing on the penthouse level. I would be bumping into that constantly! As much as the views from the penthouse are really great, at night I would enclose it, at least partially, with ceiling to floor drapes. That would make it feel so much cozier. But overall, what a fantastic home!
Marta was telling me when we were filming that the church lights up with various colours at night, which lights up the penthouse! So I see why she didn’t want to enclose it
Stunning home I wouldn't leave if I lived there I would stay ;) wonderful functional space with eco friendliness too. I wish we could see the other flats or homes they made in this building. Well done :)
Such a beautiful home. And when you know its a 'home for life' it is so much easier to invest in it both emotionally and physically. An Architect's 'natural' insight of possibilities and concepts. I only wish while seeing all those for sale signs on those thameside dilapidated empty buildings with 'For Sale' signs up, that I had that foresight and gift. I suppose most of us have been programmed to look for the best looking properties in the best locations rather than the 'Best house in the worst street'. PS: Drawer fridges/freezers are so more practical that the regular.
Brilliant design and very smart financially to have three units! Bravo! Every space is warm and inviting. Not fussy at all. The kitchen is so workable with all drawers. It is lovely, every inch AND in Central London. Just incredible!
All new buildings or major remodels should be designed with large roof overhangs. The large overhang provides beauty and protection from the sun, rain and wind. Protection of the doors, windows and siding make for a more durable and comfortable home. Water is the enemy of buildings. All homes should be built to accommodate the elderly and disabled. This will be better for everyone. Large wide doorways and hallways make using a cane, walker or wheel chair much easier. Bathrooms or wet rooms need to have flat floors and no shower hump or pan. A flat floor allows for easy access and drains need to provided. Easy to use lever door and faucet handles are easier for the elderly to grip and open. Main floors should include a master bedroom, restroom, shower, laundry and wide walk in closet with few steps to enter. Homes should be designed with aging in place in mind. New homes should come with solar panels, a rain water collection system and an electric vehicle charger in the garage.
Stunning property very cleverly designed to maximise the space and let light in. Not sure about that bathroom though, it was a bit of a trip😅 and not sure I would want to see myself from every conceivable angle. Disappointed to see the kettle hidden behind the sofa for the photo shoot. I'd much rather see it in place and see the reality of a real life kitchen with everyday appliances on show as opposed to a curated photoshoot.
2:53... am I missing some context to this requirement or is it as ridiculous as it sounds? Every house has to have a bathroom and bedroom on the ground floor?!!? How does this make sense for the footprint of the average home? Regardless, this is beautifully done! Love how you've managed to respect the original building but made it completely modern.
Very nice, but, man, I couldn’t deal with that funhouse mirrored bathroom. The glass? Too much cleaning. Do they have dedicated staff for polishing that much glass?
It's a bit all over the place, the whole thing feels unresolved. There is also too much glass (both on the stairs and in the walls), the energy bill on such a small addition is probably very high. But it's better than a demolition, the green roof is also a nice touch, although it might lead to problems later on.
Yet again, lowering a ceiling and destroying the vertical integrity so it has no feel of what it was, a vast space, and leaving a few old bricks exposed is hardly innovative!!! Nothing new here!!!
@ unfortunately yes! there’s element of character from the old building that are unfortunately cancelled out by the mirrors, the glass, and the rest of the new additions
Too many shiny, hard surfaces. I like modern, but this is a step too far. @3:55, who really wants that? It is so disorientating and I am not surprised that a guest couldn't find their way out. I've seen enough.
But it’s NOT nice, those spikes against pigeons. They have also rights to live wherever they want. World belongs NOT only to humans. And it’s also dangerous for them!!! 😡😡😡
You mean the nylon spikes? Are you serious? Those are specifically designed to NOT harm birds, unlike the steel ones I’ve seen. They’re just to deter the birds from landing in that particular spot. Usually the edges of roofs, to avoid damage or blocking drainage that would mean water ingress inside the home. There’s literally the entire rest of the house or fences or outdoor areas or garden for them to use. Hell they can even land or live on the green roof! Considering animals don’t like other animals or humans in their homes, I think humans are the most relaxed about the reverse, so no need to be so dramatic! 😅

Glad you enjoyed it!!
Stunning home - so much magic and very personal and thoughtfully crafted. Truly an inspiration, no matter how large or small your home. ♥️🥂✨
It's not a home, it's a short term rental.
Just wow. It is one thing to do something beautiful but this is another level of making beauty in small space with complications. And they did it so functionally too!
That master bathroom is visually brilliant and terrifying at the same time!
This lady speaks so well and is very talented and seems humble. I love her taste, the house is beautiful but lived in. She seems like a cool person who's be a great girl friend!
Absolutely lovely. Love the penthouse level! You have incredible taste.
Stunning space! Extremely well designed. You can tell is art of love.
Great architect and such a pleasant tour. Many thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
She's an interior architect, not an architect.
10/10 that. The living space upstairs is a no brainer with that view.
That home is original, creative, functional design at its finest. Really well done! 😍
It's not a home, it's a short term rental.
@ what’s the difference?
It’s a home and a short term rental! Marta told me that she does live there quite a lot
@@homeinspireuk Yeah, sure.
@@lisalesinszki7536 A home is a place where local people live permanently.
A short term rental is what airbnb is - it's for tourists, not locals.
The Kitchen-Rotpunkt ist One of the Finest. 💰💶
Well done, this Home is very tasteful. 👏👌
Such a great use of that space, they've made it look bigger than it is. Very cosy.
Love the connection to the garden space.
Beyond excellent. A perfect mix. So cozy, modern, seamless. Lovely.
London homes, flats are the Best..
Comfy cozy, lived in with high & low end items. Just Gorgous.🎉❤
That is a stunning house (in a great location) indeed. Love how the interiors have been sensitively considered against the building's heritage and the views. Magnificent.
I love the way your top has fluted sleeving, which makes your hands seem larger and fluidic. Oh..by the way the house tour was sublime.
Thankyou for allowing us a look around your absolutely stunning perfection home,it's wonderful.Well done ✔
Thanks for watching!
Amazing place .. very unique , cosy and with stunning views of London
A great and cozy house! Love it! Congratulations!
Stunningly beautiful space. Lovely woman.
Marta was brilliant!
Most FABULOUSLY unique master bathroom I've ever seen. SUPER LUX & sophisticated feel
Stun - ning! Brava Marta 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻
nice, love the contrast between brick, glass, old and new.
Absolutely stunning house! Well done on the design 🎉
Stunning, clean, wide view and beautifull, ❤❤❤
Amazing work. Congratulations!
Wow 🤩…just wow!
Super cool pad to match a super cool lady. Would like to be her friend, she's great. Good positive energy.
Marta was brilliant, and it was great to meet her! You could tell the passion that she had for the design!
Wow, this is amazing! TBH I haven’t seen a better conversion in London. Im kind of struggling to pick a favourite here. I suppose I really like son’s bedroom. Looks really cozy
It’s definitely one of the best conversions I’ve seen as well! The son’s room is nicely done, it did feel very cosy👌
Wow!!! It looks amazing!!!
Love it. Quirky and fun.
Without doubt the best development of any type i have ever seen. Pure Genius.
Love your work. I'd happily live here. 100% worth the efforts you put in. Live long. Have fun. Love and Blessings ❤
💚 Beautiful designed home ... But for me the staircase is the showstopper 💚
The cantilevered staircase is stunning!

Lady said, it's a home for life
@@yvonnesimpson3883 It's a short term rental.
Absolutely bangin’ 😍👍
O my god. This is amazing!
Very informative
This is really stunning, My dream Home
Ours too!
Such a wonderful livable space!
Shame it's a short term rental then, isn't it.
So homie, so cozy.
I think you have done a great job

100% agree with you!
LOL, "home for life" that's rented for almost £500 per night.
Stunning design
Very very nice, I am impressed 😊
Brilliant design and very smart financially to have three units! Bravo! Every space is warm and inviting.

Where did you buy the glass lamps in the bedrooms that was part of the stables?
Love these lamps!
Beautiful design. Well done.
What a building. Beautifully considered and decorated. Envy is a nasty word, but I feel a little now...
I know what you mean…
Me encanta la casa a excepción del baño de espejos que parece una pesadilla y rompe la serenidad. Exceso de brillos.
Magnefiqué!!!!
Too many mirrors can create confusion. Not recommended
Maybe that is why she is wearing sunglasses. :-)
Amazing, lovely, cozy...Bravo
Wspaniały dom

very beautifully crafted by a pair of big hands
Great..!!!
I would be very happy living in that ❤
So would we!😍

Glad you like it! Ah yes - in fairness I think we only moved the kettle and a few other things, everything else is where it lives!
Simply beautiful, but not a fan of all the mirrors in the bathroom

the kitchen and the bath is interesting for sure :)
Lovely kitchen - what is name of German company she mentioned plz?

I think you’d probably be surprised with the energy bills! The green roof will insulate it really well
@ It helps, but it’s not as effective as the video makes it out to be
Why is the kettle on the floor by the couch? 6:58 and in many frames.
Because someone (me) didn’t hide it well enough😂🤦♂️
@homeinspireuk actually we all drink tea/coffee -- it wouldn’t have spoiled that gorgeous counter!! 😍 It would just make it homely.
Wanted a clean worktop for the shot - but I will leave it in in future🙌
Very creative design amazing 🎉 the visual fluidity concerns me because it’s all glass I presume no small children around.
Yes they don’t recommend that anyone stays there with young children - understandably!
Ok great 👍🏾 otherwise beautiful home.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh the only thing is, I hate to see my back view naked, so I would avoid at all costs the mirrored bathroom 😅😅😅
Awesome.
Love the top floor with all the windows….I do hate mirrors so the bathrooms would not be to my liking
Fair enough with the bathroom, but I’m glad you loved everything else - thanks for watching🙌
still very much a warehouse atmosphere.
That’s the idea!
A comfortable design for life does not have a kettle behind the sofa.
Weird thing to say but her pronunciation and manner of speech reminds me of David Coverdale.
I love the very top floor the bottom ones are too dark and dungy
When you’re actually in the space it didn’t feel that dark at all. So much light streams down from above! (It was a very grey day though as well)
Fab pad!

House overall too dark and gloomy, rooms are small. But some people like that sort of thing.
ROBERT PATRICK ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER OK NO PROBLEM LINDA HAMILTON HUSBAND
Awful and characterless like most of these luxury development

clutted ..what view .. lol
Might be out of context this question, but why do you speak as if every sentence were a question, or a doubt, even? Just curious.
No, thank you. Also, does she really have to say GLOSS instead of glass? 😂
omg how she pronounces her name is incorrect :D
She wishes it was central London! 😂
It's east.
It’s Clerkenwell, pretty central!
Pretentious
VERY beautiful. And not very Brittish (... says a Scandinavian who actually like colours and Brittish design!).
