    Lol i respect the vid but you are wildin, both your jerseys for both teams were authentic, definitely not fake, just made different factories more than likely. I have purchased 4 jersey from nba store usa this past year as well and 1 didn't have a QC tag so it happens sometimes or perhaps fell off or maybe snuck around somehow but rest assure its still authentic. Respect that you being thorough but i believe they were all authentic but just made different standards, the differences you pointed out really were not bad at all like the cut and very slight color shade. The tags and jock tag is the most important parts and from what i see all are still legit. Even both NbaStore tag fonts including the all caps version is on both my jerseys as well.

  • @JB-ou6fl
    @JB-ou6fl ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Thanks for looking out for your fellow collectors. But in my opinion, I don't think that the jerseys you bought from Hong Kong are fake. I think that those jerseys did not pass the quality control check and should have been destroyed instead of being resold. I will explain why I think that way. I am new to jersey collecting but I collect many other collectibles. For those other collectibles, there can be small differences in details depending on the factory that produced the item. They are called "variants" by the collectors and some of the rarer variants are in greater demand. This is more common in coin collecting, for example. Variants also exist in some Masters of the Universe toys that were produced by different factories in the 80's. The fake jerseys that you showed have too much attention to detail and strong similarity to the real ones that makes it more probable that they originated from a Mitchell & Ness factory rather than from a third party factory producing fakes. It would take too much time, skill, and money for someone to produce fakes of that quality. Based on my experience, attention to detail is generally lacking with fakes because those people want to earn "quick and easy" money. Thus, although I can be wrong, I truly believe that what you have are "factory rejects" rather than counterfeit jerseys.

This is the second one of this exact jersey I have bought, with first one coming through Macy's, I just needed a larger size. The one I received from Fanatics today had a serious flaw in that all the burnt orange stripe colors and number and name trim was so faded it looked like orange sherbert and not the actual deep burnt orange the Bears use. The difference between the jerseys was night and day when I laid them next to each other. Still the same great quality Mitchell and Ness is known for but this is clearly a quality control issue on the screened numbers and stripes. Sending it back and will try again. Bro I think their good, im not a super sport nut or know every detail. But I've been collecting jerseys (specifically nba) since 2001. Stopped for awhile and went snkrhead route. Cameback bout 3 4 years ago. Since then I've learned alot about mitchell and nees. I learned they have different runs every couple of years. They get their jerseys made in different countries and different factories. That could be the reason because I live 15 mins away from the store in Philly. I know people who buy the same player same jerseys when they restock them and they are always made and cut different. I'm in jersey groups on fb that's the biggest problem they have on there because mitchell and ness keep making the jerseys different so something like this can happen to a person who's not heavy into jerseys. But hey it's your bread, it don't look right don't buy because I know me, if I feel it's off it's gonna irritate me forever and it's from HK . It's 2021 it could be a UA lol 💯

Besides if someone is looking that damn hard at my Jersey(which I doubt) then they need to find them a better hobby...

      BIG FACTS. This the best comment on how back in our day that real vs fake SHII mattered. Where today it DONT matter as long as it’s not a blatant fake and close to real as possible. GO FOR IT these companies don’t pay my bills or work my long hours either so if I can shave a dollar I’m all for it

    I just got a “Swingman” Dominique Wilkins jersey from eBay and it is definitely not Swingman. It is more similar to the NBA Authentic but it is still off. It is a good quality knockoff but I am also convinced it is a fake. Fortunately I only paid about $35 for it. It is only the second jersey I have purchased and I only have a Swingman Kareem jersey to compare it with. The differences I notice are the tags are not the same. The Nique is more flexible material on the Mitchell and Ness tag on the left side of the waist. Also the 1986-87 tag is felt but it is nicer material on the Kareem. It could almost pass as an NBA authentic but it doesn’t look exactly like that tag from the Mitchell and Ness website either. Another difference is the striped trim around the neck and arms is a thicker material on the Kareem.

    I'm seeing a lot of these "UA" jerseys selling for 35-55 bucks in the US nowadays when you look at spots like ebay. I'm thinking the jerseys have reached a price point where its actually worth it to get the fake... I got a ton of jerseys and in NY there's only about 3/4 of the year to wear em in... I figure I'm gonna wear them for 30 times in my life each? might even be a stretch. Idk if authenticity is worth 5-8x the money when you look at it like that.

    First of all:
    All of the Jerseys are made in China. And made in different factories. Different factories have slight manufacturing tolerances. If you ever dealt with Asian clothing manufacturers you will understand.
    There will be tolerances in the fit and finish for Western and Asian sold Jersey's!!!!
    NBA store is selling worldwide. The proportion and sizing fit of Asian compared to Western is all different. One being curved the other being straight line is all down to the shape of the people from different countries. Asians are shorter than Western people. This is exactly why they need to make them little shorter.
    In Asia Mitchell Ness stores sell them with the plastic tags. I have even seen that the lettering is printed differently (small and bigger font). This does not indicate that it is FAKE. Jerseys are made in different years. And NOT ALL at once. So many variables change, also the printing of the paper tags and care labels change over the years!
    The label not having the bar code means that they have yet to stick it on for sale. And some people in the factory have "Taken" it for resell on the market. Or they have not passed some QC inspection. The ones with the bar codes indicate that they are ready to be shipped and sold in your Country. Believe it or not, all barcodes are different.
    Just because it is offered for half the price of the US product doesnt mean it is fake. First, you have to factor Tax, Shipping Fees and other fees that is due in Western Countries. In Hong Kong for example, there is ZERO TAX on things you buy! China being next to Hong Kong, the people that "took" the jerseys from the Factory can sell it for far less in Hong Kong.
    Regarding the QC sticker on the care label, understand that this process is made by human process. Factory workers make mistakes and forget to stick on them.
    It is also true that the ones you bought without the QC stickers were indeed inspected and didn't meet the quality standards. As seen by the bubbling of the numbering. In this case , the factory kept those to sell via unofficial methods. You think they will destroy things that can be resold for $$$?? Mitchell Ness squeezes the factories of their margins as it is!
    In a nutshell, they are all made on order from Mitchell Ness in different factories where manufacturing tolerances exist. Please educate yourself first before you make baseless claims.
    There are indeed fake jerseys, but they are all made in small factories that don't possess the knowhow and YES, those will be made terrible all the way to being acceptable fake. BUT will never be up to the standard of the "fake" 45 jersey you are calling out for, which was made in one of Mitchell Nesses factories but didn't pass their QC.
    Please do not make these videos when you have zero experience and knowledge in garment manufacturing. You are making Asian sellers who sell legit products (not meeting QC or simply forgotten QC sticker) look bad.

    Wait isn’t Mitchell and ness a company that sells replicas?? So pretty much this video is about replicas of replicas?? Because they both look like real jerseys to me! And both aren’t authentic nfl jerseys anyway and I’d only wear it to a game or for a game on tv anyways which I’d probably get dirty anyways so I’ll just go with the cheaper replica

    You bought a factory flawed jersey and I’m pretty sure I know who you bought it from. There’s certain sellers on grailed and ebay who sell these kind of jerseys for low prices. Most people won’t notice but these jerseys will have flaws. I bought 2 jerseys myself from one of these sellers and the stitching was pretty bad.

    You could have a fire fit on but a reject with it just negates everything. If your outfit was plus ten in your favor then a reject turned it around to a negative ten. These are the kind of jerseys that the Mafia put on people before throwing them into a river! BTW when I saw Karl Malone wearing L.A. Gear I knew from that point on he would never win a NBA championship.

    Technically, both jerseys are replicas. I’m sure if you compare the ‘real’ replica to the real jersey from the time period, there will be differences.

    • @calpha6458
      @calpha6458 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not a replica if it's coming from a legit company wtf are you talking about? The jerseys players wore? These are made way different but still are licensed companies.

    • @alannguyen8468
      @alannguyen8468 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@calpha6458 Look up the definition of the word 'replica'. Any jersey made from a past era made in the current day is default a replica. You can have an officially licensed replica and you can have an unlicensed replica. The difference between the 2 is one paying royalties fees and one is not. The licensed replica may or may not be using the original pattern design template and original fabric. Let's be real, highly unlikely they are using the same fabric mill as in the past. Also questionable if they are using the same archive, pattern maker. But bottom line- it's a replica! Just because you pay more from an authorized licensed company does not make it not a replica.
