- CRUEL SISTER se editó en 1970 en Inglaterra. Un año después aparecía REFLECTION. En España son publicados en Guimbarda en un disco doble para que sea económicamente accesible a un mayor número de personas. Son, sin embargo, dos álbumes claramente distintos, cuarto y quinto en la cuenta particular de Pentangle.
CRUEL SISTER es la apoteosis de la tradición. Cinco temas que nos introducen en un mundo maravilloso.
El equilibrio es perfecto en todos los sentidos y si Jacquic Mashee domina en la cara A cantando tres de los cuatro temas, Bert Jansch y John Renbourn se desquitan en Jack Orion con uno de los más brillantes trabajos que se han hecho, al desarrollar un tema tan extenso como lo es esta canción.
REFLECTION presenta la otra faceta de Pentangle, tan íntima y preciosista como la de CRUEL SISTER pero más cercana a los ambientes jazzisticos.
Los tradicionales en esta ocasión están más volcados hacia Estados Unidos que hacia Inglaterra.
Terry Cox y Danny Thompson tienen esta vez más trabajo que realizar que en el CRUEL SISTER debido a los planteamientos tan diferentes entre los dos álbumes.
