Limit usage is the real challenge of Cloud. Knowing when to hold and when to use it can be really hard at top level.

I swear, people wont stop whining that Lucario is cheap.
Yeah Lucario has Aura rage on top of normal rage, which can easily get kills early.
But people never try to point out Lucarios downsides.
3/4 of Lucarios special moves can be easily punished, like side a special that misses, Lucarios up special if landed wrong, and a terribly timed down special.
People also dont think of aura rage in the way I do most of the time: Aura rage is a double edged sword. Yeah you deal heavy amounts of damage, but you are easier to be killed yourself.
And besides, at the start of a round Lucario deals less damage then most other characters, so he starts off pretty weak, but has a strong combo game at low aura.
But at higher percents its just dependent on reads because aura rage kicks the knock-back up, making most combos impossible to connect.

God someone gets it, people who complain about Lucario never notice we Lucario mains pretty much never use a big amount of his killing moves simply because they are way too punishable, unless you get a perfect read, any smash attack is a suicide sentence, that's why most rely on back airs (which by nature are easy to predict, therefore hard to nail), aura balls (actually great but very predictable too) and side b (actually worse than side smash in terms of punishing, but becomes a shotgun projectile at high aura rage, and can bypass shields like a grab).
Not to mention he never uses Lucario's counter down special.

@@of5606 It's bad because it has the shortest time where it is active and the longest time where you are just standing there vulnerable, but you need to consider that it's the highest damaging counter in the game.

I hate when people start giving a character and "OP" reputation just because someone beat ZeRo with the character it's so annoying.
Everyone always said Marth wasn't good I always said he's around high teir. MK leo beats Diddy with Marth and now everyones like "he's top teir"

people just find one good thing about a character and call them "higher teir" or "Top teir" and completely forget about the weaknesses. But they don't do that when no one beats ZeRo with that character.

it's stupid. World champions use characters that fit them and they practice hard and worked hard to get to were they are now and people are blaming it on the characters even if it's a low teir character.

Cha-cha Kyamba I like your statement. I'm a lucario main and I get bodied in competitive because of lucarios defaults (hit lags, range, little combo game, and personally speed) and the recovery might seem amazing but it's predictable. Aura steps up those flaws and you have to use it carefully. It's a unique trait just like every other character has of their own.
The only reason they said he's top tier is cause of the buffs. Nothing about the match Leo and Zero had
Lucario would be very bad without his very good aura ability. He has to rely on a lot on grabs
Even then, Lucario is in fact a bit cheap. Keeping aura requires patience. And he can't get out of disadvantage very well. But when he can grab you and get nearly 40 off it and kill stupid early, a character is cheap. Because he has a free win tool against a lot of characters. And for characters like Bowser Up throw, Sonic Side B, bayo...anything, you can learn the match up and all of a sudden the match seems winnable. But you can't do that with Lucario because he's too spuradic. At high percents he camps with aura sphere and Force Palm. At low-Mid percents he gets insane damage from combos. And at very high percents he can kill you at like 40. No matter how you view lucario, you have to admit him and his character archetype are extremely cheap.
The Capt. Falcon matches were pretty good.
This is one of the best sets I've ever seen.

Timothy Tan suddenly? Honestly, I just hate him for his gimmick. You can be winning pretty easily, but a Lucario that plays defensively and gets those few good hits can make a comeback like that. You basically power him up, and if you can't kill him fast enough, then he has the upper hand. And well, rage + aura is stupid combination.

cfalc is fast, combos, and can kill well. major weakness? being combod and bad recovery
since zero is so fast that tsu can't edgeguard with Lucario, he only had to worry about being combod
plus run up perf shield is really good as c falcon
I think zero should pocket c falcon on high tiers who can't edgeguard as efficiently

Watching lucario juggle people in the air is fun
It can be quite hard to kill with falcon and it showed in this match but saying that he has the ability to take stocks quick. I really fell that Zero should have gotten the final game. What more could he have do for the kill.
Picking pocket Cloud against the best Lucario in Japan... smh. That two stock was well deserved. I would have loved to see him keep using Diddy, but Falcon was fun to see.
Not pocket Cloud, he has been training with him the last weeks (or months?) to have a counterpick against diddy's bad matchups. But damn he needs to learn how to use that limit.

Lucario has been considered high tier by most people for quite a while. I personally have thought he was held back a little too much by his terrible frame data, but Tsu definitely put in work at Frostbite.
