The USS Black was one of the 175 Fletcher-class destroyers, meaning that she had 174 sister ships. My nickname is Michas7scar and I play in the Uropean Server
Difficult question to answer carefully - USS Black was one of the 175 Fletcher-class destroyers, meaning that she had 174 sister ships eventually. However when she was built (by looking down the list it looks like she was Fletcher class 133, so she would have had 132 sister ships at that point in some degree of completeness (or wrecked) at that point, although 6 were sunk prior to her launching so 124 sister ships at that point as far as I can make out. She was laid down 14 November 1942. Launched 28 March 1943 by Federal Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Kearny, N.J. & Mrs. H. D. Black, widow of Lieutenant Commander Black, Widdow of Lieutenant Commander Black, in command of the USS Jacob Jones and killed when she was sunk by the German submarine U-578 on 28 February 1942. USS Black was commissioned for the first time on 21 May 1943, decommissioned and placed in reserve on 5 August 1946 USS Black was then recommissioned 18 July 1951, decomissioned 26 September 1969 and sold for scrap on 17 February 1971 Server EU Nickname Asureas
