This is seriously the best step step especially for somebody like who gets easily overwhelmed. I had been searching for days now for this exact kind of tutorial. Thank you very much!!!
Great video!! Thanks for breaking this down step by step. I'm a newbie and have sent in 3 boxes of books within the past 3 weeks as I build my inventory. It took a couple of days to figure it out (including watching many videos from Amazon's Seller University) but I was soooooo proud of myself after getting that first box done!! Woohoo!! The second was easier and the third took a little more time but totally worth it. Watching your video helped validate that I was doing it right. The 'workflows' kept confusing me and throwing me off so I did end up just going back to my main inventory page and clicking on 'add an item'. Sold my first book yesterday!! But it is 'merchant fulfilled', only because I accidentally did something wrong and marked it merchant fulfilled. lol
The new flow is a real pain in the neck and takes sooooo much longer having to individually go into each listing for the prep info then click on them all again to confirm. Its a serious step backwards. Looking to see if third party software would skip this part and get some of my time back. UPS wants to charge me $16 for a pick-up. I just drop off shipments.
Hi Thank you so much for this video you have helped me so much I’m sending off my first shipment tomorrow and all the step by step details was so needed
Thanks Wick just packed a box of games and dvds to ship to Amazon. Used to do FBA then just stopped the last couple years. Went to ship a load and realized everything changed from how I last remembered it lol. This video helped even though Amazon yet again has changed some things since you made this video but I made it through. Couldn't get my printer to work so I paid Amazon to print and apply my labels. Cost a little more money but I have more than enough profit in the items to cover the $0.55 charge they do. Thanks again for the info!!
I hate this new way too! Usually it takes me 10 minutes to do the online part for a shipment but with this new way it takes me 2 hours per shipment. WOOHOO Amazon
Nice job, Wick. Two nights ago I spent 9 straight hours literally grinding and braining through this process and I just sent in my first box of goodies! Been putting it off for the shear amount steps to do it! This vid would've demystified it significantly! That said, it does validate for me that I did it right! So thanks for all you do brother! Time to rinse and repeat.. Happy huntin'!
So far I haven't been worrying to much about the prep requirements and sending in stuff just with shrink wrap if it needs it. Don't seem to have problems so far
Thank god you made the process easy to follow! I love your videos and was wondering if you can do a video on how to get your shoes sold on amazon. I found a new pair of SAS shoes and they are not moving. Anyway, can't wait to watch more of your videos!
It's been years since I sold shoes on Amazon, but it comes down to price and desire in the end. Maybe run a coupon to generate some sales? That works sometimes.
I HAVE to start FBA! Thanks, quick question, all the stickers you put over the barcode, are the same? Wouldn't every item have it's own? And, you said put a UPS AND Fed Ex label? Why both, and thanks to anyone that answers me!
Great video. From around 3.25 min, where it says choose barcode type, how do we then access the FNSKU codes? I also got to this page and couldn't see where to find them
I time I had 300+ items to send, each individually (and some were Multiples of each item) - so like 500 items. FBA only allows 250 items at one time for shipment. What a headache it was. Just food for thought to Start small and learn before going crazy...
Hey wick what settings do I need to use to make my Rollo print the multiple labels all at once? I’m having to print them one by one because it isn’t working. I have a 2x1 label.
At last! I have been looking for a video that explained the new work flow in a way that worked for booksellers. I have been selling books on Amazon for 6 years and every few months there is some new complication. I used to use a listing program but it started having more and more problems until I gave up and went to listing each item individually. I don't know how the listing programs cope with restricted books. The new send to Amazon work flow seems totally organized around sellers with large multiples of a few SKUs. Booksellers were forgotten. Prep centers absolutely hate the new regime. Thanks so much for posting a solution to this problem. My only question is, what happens when Amazon splits up the shipment after you have already put in the box information? Do you have to go back and redo it?
I was trying to sell a projector and ship by myself, but the price of the shipping was really low, so I was afraid will bounce back to me. Wonder if the shipping cost was right?
Great video, thanks! If I want to send in electronics like a DVD/VHS combo with the remote, should I shrinkwrap them together, then bubblewrap them, and then put them in their own box, which goes in the larger box for UPS shipping? Can I then put the SKU label and the "Do Not Separate" sticker on the item box and not on the bubblewrap?
Thanks for posting. I see lots of videos about Amazon returns and they destroy or auction off pallets of returns. Once you sell an item on Amazon and it gets returned, how does that effect you if Amazon is getting rid of returned items?
If an item is returned and cannot be added back into your inventory because it was opened/damaged, you can set an option to have the item destroyed or returned back to you. I have all my stuff returned to me. They charge .50 cents per item to have it returned.
I don't remember the size or brand right off. They are in my description link. I typically pick the cheapest ones that work with the Rollo thermal printer.
Thanks to your tutorial I was able to nearly complete my first shipment; however, while I could print a box label it would not allow me to “print all SKUs”…Why is that?
Love your content! I just did my first Amazon FBA shipment. My question is how fast is the shipping time for Amazon FBA? Is it longer than the usual 1-2 day prime?
I don't remember the exact size, but it's the rolls I have linked in my description that fit the Rollo thermal printer. I would probably bubble wrap them, to help insure they survive the handling and shipping of Amazon.
@@FlippingJunk Thank you, I just ordered the roll label using your link. When bubble wrap, do we need to put FNSKU label on the bubble wrap as well because the FNSKU on the box will be covered by the bubble wrap?
Hello from Dayton Ohio! Very informative video! I have a question; do I need to put up my own photos if the item is in new sealed condition, or does Amazon use their own stock photos of the item? As always great content!
The race to the bottom is a big problem with FBA. I swear people will sell at a loss to beat everyone else. That is why I am giving up on FBA. I have asked numerous FBA sellers what they do when they reach the dreaded six months and items haven't sold. That is when the storage fees go up a lot. Have you experienced this, and what happens?
I turned on a setting to have anything sent back to me that is going to incur the long term storage fees. If you don't have them removed you will be charged a very high storage fee. Amazon does this so they can keep their warehouses clean of non-selling inventory.
You would probably get blocked from sending anything else in until you read and agree you understand the policy. I'd imagine repeated mistakes would result in a ban.
New seller and I’ve looked so hard for a great video like this one! With what I sell I will have a lot of sets of 2 or 3. Can you please explain how I go about this? So say it’s a set of three, after finding the exact listing with that quantity, do1 put in quantity 1 and poly bag with the label on the outside with the 2 or 3 items in the bag? 😅. Thank you SO very much!
It depends if the product page is made for a set. It would say in the title. If it's made for a set, then the quantity would be 1 for each set of 3. In an example of a listing with a set of 3. If the product page is only for one item and you want to sell a set of 3, then you'd have to make a new listing for the product in a multipack. I hope that makes sense lol
I made an account over 10 years ago and I'm grandfathered into a lot of brands. Many you can just request permission to sell after your account is in good standing for a while.
Thanks for the video, Wick. I've been selling on eBay and Amazon for 4 years now but I usually only send items that have a wholesale invoice to Amazon (I have a few accounts with toy/collectible distributors). You've inspired me to start sending my thrift/garage sale finds to AZ as well now :) Amazon does not condone retail arbitrage/thrifting (right? :) ) I believe. One thing I wonder is why Amazon is looking the other way when you send a FBA shipment with random items. Why would a seller send 1 or 2 units of a great product if they had a wholesale account for that item? It would make more sense for the seller to send 20 units at once (or whatever the case size is). What do you think? Cheers, Julien
Yeah, I think Amazon knows and wants people sending in retail arbitrage and thrift items. It's big money for them, but they will also ban you if the trademark holder complains. They play both sides.
Hey! Thanks for the awesome video! I’m prepping myself for my first send in! Just a couple of questions if you have time, how do payments work? Do you only receive payment of it sells on Amazon? And I am having trouble being approved to sell some items. It says I have been approved, but when I go back to list it, it still says I need to have approval! Any suggestions? Thanks!
You are paid every other week on what you have sold. Try asking for approval on a computer. The app sometimes doesn't work. It just says your approved and nothing changes. When you do it on a computer, it usually works.
Do you have a time limit to complete your FBA shipment? If you wanted to add items to your FBA inventory and take a couple of weeks (add them as you get them) or even a month or two to finalize your shipment is that ok? I have been acquiring items for a couple of weeks, but do not have enough to send in as of yet. Also, can you send in new "Open Box" items, or do you have to list that as "used". Thanks!
You can add items to your inventory any time and they will stay there. Once you start a shipment, I'm pretty sure you can continue later. I think your workflow is saved. I never do this, so I can't say for sure. I've always just added everything to inventory, then done the shipment when I was ready. There isn't an "open box" option on Amazon. Just Used - Like New. I always put in the condition notes that its new open box if it is.
This is seriously the best step step especially for somebody like who gets easily overwhelmed. I had been searching for days now for this exact kind of tutorial. Thank you very much!!!

u should give ‘inventory lab’ a try, the shipping process is ten times better/faster and u can also foresee if amazon is going to split your items up
Thanks for this! Super informative.

you earned a sub from me! what is the name of the barcode printer you use?
Hey, thanks! I use the rollo thermal printer.
Thanks for the video! If you were sending in liquids like large shampoo would you polybag it or pack each in their own small box?
Amazon requires liquids to be poly bagged. You don't have to put in a box after that, but the choice is yours with the boxes.
Great info, Wick! What size of roll label are you using? And do you recommend bubble wrap die cast model car boxes? Thank you
I don't remember the exact size, but it's the rolls I have linked in my description that fit the Rollo thermal printer. I would probably bubble wrap them, to help insure they survive the handling and shipping of Amazon.

Hello from Dayton Ohio! Very informative video! I have a question; do I need to put up my own photos if the item is in new sealed condition, or does Amazon use their own stock photos of the item? As always great content!
Hello, you don't need to use photos. Everyone shares the one listing on Amazon and uses those photos.
@@FlippingJunk Thanks!
They will actually not even display any photos you upload if the product is new condition.
Do you put the sticker barcode on the polybag/ bubble or on the book?
I usually put it on the polybag. If it goes under, just make sure the label can be scanned by Amazon.

Hi, What if a book has a paper sleeve cover? Do i remove the sleeve and put the FBA barcode on the actual book? Thanks.
I'd put it over the sleeve cover. Amazon needs it to be visible and cover up any visible barcodes.
What if the box you send is different from the size you stated in the set up
You would probably get blocked from sending anything else in until you read and agree you understand the policy. I'd imagine repeated mistakes would result in a ban.
Is there a sweet spot (box size) that lets you calculate storage fees accurately?
Not that I know of. They are fairly low and go by standard box size and over sized box size.

Yes, you need invoices from a distributor and many brands are restricted, but there are a lot that aren't.
Where do you get the do not separate stickers? Are they printed off of the Amazon seller center?
You buy them from third party sellers on eBay or Amazon. Shipping supply stores etc. I buy mine on Amazon.
