I lived all over Oregon. Mostly coast areas and sure wish I'd have been into rocks like I am now back them. LOL I live in Mississippi now and have off and on my hole life. Probably one of the worse states in the nation to collect rocks in. Love to have some of the agate and stuff you are finding there. We may have to make a deal on some of the stuff you are finding. I need to know your prices ?
Awesome finds!! 7:37 is that all agate!? That agate arrowhead is super cool!! Nice frog ambience in there too, really fitting for the area. seems like it's been a pretty wet spring, hopefully it'll continue to help keep fires at bay this summer🙂
The view at 2:56. All the ambient sounds, the pick and grab style of recording, and samples of the scenic views are why I enjoy your rockhounding channel. No time wasting to each cool find. Some can be a little muddy and hard to see and appreciate. I love all the agates and their fun to cut open. But that jasper is so pretty and can have a lot of character. I liked that pistachio green one. Another excellent video! Grats on your MBA!
Amazing content as always. Curious what kind of camera you're using? It is amazing with the rocks and closer details. Thank you for your channel and continued videos, I always look forward to your new content!
Thanks! I appreciate the support ^^ As for recording, I use a few things; [Primarily] my phone(S20 ultra), 2-timelapse cameras, go pro 11(10?), and Mavic 2 Zoom.
That green jasper is pretty stuff. It's great to see you cutting your finds at the end of the video. If you have a chop saw one thing that is nice to have is a bunch of wooden wedges cut off a 2x4, cut them really thin and at a shallow angle. You can then use them you wedge around your rock and vise for a nice sturdy clamp up.
Im gonna have to invest in backpacks for my dogs so i can haul everything I find out of these places lmao my body is broken and battered so i can barely haul myself to these places so packing 20-30lbs of rock back is nearly impossible for me BUT my dogs are big and strong so they can haul it for me 😂

Definitely need to cut some wedges up. Had to get the "shop space" in a usable manner.
Thanks man!
Love the "pick and cut" format! Some nice pickers there too!
