    CANNERS:
This is similar to the old canner that has lasted me for decades. It has the weighted jiggler which is easier to maintain the pressure with less hovering over the stove to make sure it’s at the correct pressure: amzn.to/42fonwJ
If you can afford a bigger one, it will be worth the investment if you plan to do a lot of canning. This one doubles as a water bath canner: amzn.to/3N9foJp
    PRESSURE COOKER FOR MEALS:
Please choose a stainless steel pressure cooker, not an aluminum one. Old aluminum pots are pitted which indicates that aluminum leached into the food! This one is similar to mine. I cook dry beans in the pressure cooker and then use it to also can pint jars. amzn.to/3MGTWKh

Thanks for all the info. You can get calcium from eggshells also. Dehydrate them.....blend them into powder. Only takes a teaspoon per gallon of water. Shake well and let sit for 24 hours. Then feed to plants in need of calcium. Roses definitely love it too.
This is free for me because we eat at least 6 eggs a day just for breakfast lol

I thought it would take a lot more than that! We only consume less than a dozen a week. It would still add up so I'll give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for this. My plants have been poorly for months. I was using my fish tank water to water my plants because someone said it would be good for them. We treat aquarium water to remove chlorine and toxic metals and add nitrifying bacteria to REMOVE nitrites and nitrates to prevent ammonia build-up, which is bad for fish. Plants have severe chlorosis and looking unhealthy all around. Looks like lack of Nitrogen, Iron and probably other minerals. Now I know how to fix it. Thanks again.

My soil test said I only needed organic matter, and an even number of fertilizer. But here in Michigan 2 years in a row I have had a sparse harvest. Some things growing well and some things not so well. My sister gave me manure last fall, so I plan on spreading that in the garden this year, along with leaves from the woods. I had bought mulch a few years ago, but frankly I don't have the money for it this year.

Keep trying. Watch what your plants do and maybe that colored chart will help you. Ammending your soil is a really good thing to do so you will get results. Check what your sister feeds her animals. Grayzon is in most manures now a days. It ruins plants that are dicots and it takes 3 or more years to dissapate.

6:14 to not buy those [plant food] bags that say 6-6-6 ! That's right, they are definitely the mark of the beast! 🤣
