Among the coasters I rode for the first time in 2023, this was the one that surprised me the most. I did not expect to love this ride as much as I did.

Just visited Worlds of Fun today and rode this. Was absolutely blown away! I was truly not expecting much from a Morgan hyper but this roller coaster is amazing! Those airtime hills at the end are INSANE!
I havent had the chance to ride it yet, but I've always thought this had the best layout of the Morgan hypers. The taller 2nd drop, the low, flat turnaround under the structure, the bunny hops that decrese in height. It's a classic out-and-back design perfected. And now without the trims it can finally be fully realized.
Mamba is my favorite. Best view of Kansas City skyline, too. Also has one of the loudest anti-rollbacks, sometimes you can hear the train come off the lift from the front of the park.
Mamba looks underated for sure. People say Steel Force is the best of the 3 cedar fair morgan hypers but I can tell just by the looks that the airtime looks better on this, although, I don't know if it actually is.
I've ridden on this a number of times. The bunny hills closer to the end of the run lifted my feet up and down at high forces that I felt like I was being jumped up and down. The Timber Wolf nearby didn't lift my feet up and down as much.
mamba`s 3rd train is back fyi. dont think its running yet but is been next to the station, so if one train goes down they do have a functioning backup to retain 2train operation
That's my favorite part. If you are not in front, you can see people leaning their head over and/or putting down their hands because they think it's going to hit. They add an excitement factor.
I went to Worlds of Fun today and ride this 5 times, found this video looking for the stats of the coaster. It's so much better in person. The video simply does not do justice to how insane it really is.
I wonder if someone will ever build a steel coaster with a classic layout, like how wooden coasters were sometimes. It was a trend for a bit with wooden to build 'classic' woodies. I do thinks its a shame hypers aren't built like this, though B&M are still fairly close, without the weird banking and inversions of most of the modern ones.
Believe it or not, Mamba looks to be running a bit slow in this video! I was wondering if the train is empty and/or the wind was slowing it down a little, but it's definitely not going quite as fast as it has been lately. I'm not sure sharing other links here is appropriate, but if you search Mamba August 2023, you will find one that shows it running noticeably faster.
Last year, I have ridden it when it was flying, and I have ridden it when it was comparatively crawling. The front loses less when it's running slow. So front is a safe bet if you're not sure how it's running at that moment. While the back gets kind of lame when it is running slow, and really great when Mamba is running fast, far better than front.
The trims had more bark than bite in the last two seasons and even though you hear them, they would very lightly grab the train sometimes or just not at all other times, even though you would still hear them. The ride has been far more thrilling and fun recently and it ends so well now that it leaves the riders wowed and that is exactly what WOF needs!
So two questions. Is there two coasters that cross over or thru each other and use some of the same supports ?then what coaster has the highest drop from closest to the ground i.e. over a hill or off a cliff thanks ☺️
Hey look another POV of Worlds of Fun rides that shouldn’t exist. POV videos are not allowed on Cedar Fair property due to safety. Even says so on their website.
We had special permission from Worlds of Fun. This was mounted to the train with park personnel there to personally inspect it and make sure it was safe. We do not film on ride unless we are allowed to.
@@CoasterStudios Who did you speak to get special permission from? Because I showed this one of management (I am a WoF ambassador) and they commented that they were in agreement with me when I said “here’s a video that shouldn’t exist”. So I’m kind of finding this “special permission” hard to believe

Glad there's finally a good POV of this with the midcourse turned off

Wow that ending part with the bunny hops looks insane!

Mamba is my favorite roller coaster at Worlds of Fun!

I’ve been wanting a pov without trims for so long! One of the best hypers!
Rode this like 15 years ago it was alright, rode it last year freaking amazing
I wish Morgan made more hypers
Chance could continue that trend, since they still use the track.
The coaster just seems so much larger and unreal because it’s in the middle of that field
Mamba looks underated for sure. People say Steel Force is the best of the 3 cedar fair morgan hypers but I can tell just by the looks that the airtime looks better on this, although, I don't know if it actually is.
Mamba is much better. Way stronger airtime!
Airtime is awesome on this!
Such a great ride
The coaster that got me over a fear of non inverting coaster. Love this thing, especially how it's running now.
First time I’ve seen someone scared of non-inverting coasters after inverting ones 😂
@@Stagnant_Gravy I say non inverting because I was still scared of going upside down after Mamba until I rode California Screamin'
I love this coaster. I have rode it so many times
Love this coaster… I remember riding it when it was brand new
it is wild how much turning off the trims did for this coaster. standing airtime on every bunny hop heading into the brakes.
This is how it should run all the time
I've ridden on this a number of times. The bunny hills closer to the end of the run lifted my feet up and down at high forces that I felt like I was being jumped up and down. The Timber Wolf nearby didn't lift my feet up and down as much.

I only rode the Mamba once. I enjoyed how high and smooth it was. This was back in 2002. I just wanted to go fast.
1:41 makes me think you are colliding with the support beams.
That part is fun. You're going fast enough that the beams feel inches away.
That's my favorite part. If you are not in front, you can see people leaning their head over and/or putting down their hands because they think it's going to hit. They add an excitement factor.
Honestly better pov than the WOF channel
I am going on a road trip and i can either stop off here or Six Flags Great America which one?
This one was crazy
This is giving roller coaster vibes idk why

It's even got that weird Magnum XL-200 ending turnaround hah. Where it meanders the last couple hundred foot to the brake run oddly.
This ride is valid
Kind of reminds me of Steel Force at Dorney
they're sister coasters! Almost identical rides
Except now this one is WAY better
This looks like a more polished magnum
My dad is pure pressuring me to go on the ride😂 should I like if I should
It's a great ride. Smooth, fast, and great airtime on the bunny hills.
@@JABurtin ok i will do it
hope to ride it one day
I wish the big one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach had that type of airtime ending, or anywhere on the ride for that matter 😂
The monorail 😂

I'd love to see someone do a split screen of with midcourse brakes and without to illustrate how different it makes the ride.
If it's as good as Steel Eel then this could be top 3 in Missouri.
I was just there today but didnt get to go on it unfortunately
I guess the audible trims at 1:52 don't count. Lol.
They don’t slow the ride down at all
The trims had more bark than bite in the last two seasons and even though you hear them, they would very lightly grab the train sometimes or just not at all other times, even though you would still hear them. the track profiling looks pretty janky, are these coasters smooth? Just curious
It is very smooth!
Mamba is the smooth version of the jank Magnum. Both incredible.
It's not as smooth as it used to be.. Says my family members. It's showing it's age a little bit
Do you prefer this or Steel Force at Dorney Park more?
this!
@@CoasterStudiosYay!
Now that the mid course doesn't hit so hard Mamba has gone from meh to excellent IMHO.
So two questions. Is there two coasters that cross over or thru each other and use some of the same supports ?then what coaster has the highest drop from closest to the ground i.e. over a hill or off a cliff thanks ☺️
Looks better than Steel Force, Steel Eel, but not as much as Superman El Ultimo Escape or Phantom's Revenge
It's 205 feet tall but that first drop looks to be like 50ft.
On video is way smaller than with your eyes
Now if they could just turn off the mid course for wild thing
How bad is this compared to the Timberwolf
