What ever block chance or any damage reduction effect, a good line up in battleground will win and the defeating line up will loss. It's a battleground of fortune.
Thanks for the video. Think you are neglecting one important fact though - critical hit is essentially a bonus dmg applied on top of the base one. So in a scenario, where both players have same Armor/AP and no extra CHD, a critical hit on a 10k base dmg will add extra 10k crit dmg (it will not turn this into a 20k 'pure' crit dmg hit). So while you can't block that extra 10k hit coming from critical, the block chance can still be applied against the 10k of base dmg, resulting into a overall 25% dmg reduction.
If this is the case its bit more fair towards block chance, but I have hard time believing they would break critical hits in two parts, first time I am hearing this so I am open to it, but it's hard to believe this would be the case
I would like to know how you know for a fact that block is affected by strife or not. Did you test? If you did. How? I've tested in a challenge rift and rite practice and i did not see a significant drop off in block procs. 66 percent would be very noticable no?
Base block chance is not strifed warband block chance is not strifed, block chance on gear and reforges will be strifed and apparently it's 70% not 66% and yes I have tested it
