  • My old Night Vapor was not flying very well. This simple Motor change breathed new life into it, plus I made an FAA standard light Mod too. Thanks for watching. Happy flying and smooth landings.

      I like that. I have the old original vapor so it doesn't have the colored lights. But with the mods you did, maybe I will just add a red and green led with a 1k resistor tapped right into the input power. I need new wings though, with age they've come unglued.

    Best and easiest plane to fly for the beginner.If you never flew a rc airplane and want to be successful,buy this vapor, lots of fun, you can't go wrong. Just don't fly it if the wind is over 6 0r 7 miles per hr. Great flyer at night.

    Makes me miss my lil parkzone planes. Had a vapor and a 210. Tons of fun and the 210 went everywhere with me. Flew it anywhere I could get the chance. Wore them both slap out though

      Haha. Time to get a new one, or pop in a new motor. Thanks.

    You should try this motor PKZ3916 it’s really wakes up the vapor. You will need to extend the wires a couple inches. It will climb vertical pretty easy. Love your videos been watching for years. Thank you for your service and all the great videos.

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I might try that. I didn't know about that motor. Thanks for very kind words!

      That’s the same motor that was in the ultra micro J-3 right? I did the same thing with my Night Vapor a couple years ago, it was like a whole different plane

      Thank you for your service is such an overused word today.

    Man I love that plane mine still flies great I also have the mini sukhoi and on a clam evening it flies wicked! I have so much fun with it doing tricks and rolls. But that vapor is the best thing for beginners and I also love how it has the lights for night flying. They make great little flyers from parkzone and they are tough too.

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks much. I had a mini Sukhoi too. Used it in my mini aircraft carrier video. It was a great flier for sure.

    My Apprentice has been goofing up a lot lately, servos acting strange and loss of power, especially taking off. AsI have experienced this before I know it is the ESC failing. The motor shaft has become wobbly also, so it is time to replace both.
    I sold two Apprentice I picked up over the last two summers and kept my original Apprentice I paid full price for. I should have kept the better of the three, but no, I sold it, transmitter and all. I suspect I will be getting another Apprentic somewhere down the line.

    Nice video..can you help me info on how to reconnect the batter wires black wire to the circuit as mine has come off?

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. Well it connects right beside the white wire on the outside corner of the circuit board on this one. Some had wires connected to the inside middle of the board. Either way, the black goes right beside the white wire. They have a coating over it, so you may have to scrape that off, or find the exact pad on the bottom of the circuit board and solder it there. It is small, so use a tiny soldering iron and be careful. If the two short together when soldering, you will get smoke from the battery when you plug it in. Good luck,

    The servos on my night vapor locked up, and sadly, not even WD-40 could bring it back from the dead. At this point i should just get a new one, since a lot of scotch tape is holding it together.

    • @NightFlyyer

    This plane is my favorite rc plane and its the one with the most airtime besides my mavic... (probably because I am right beside an airfield) Most enjoyable in the sunset... With throttle just as low that it keeps altitude. It is still surprising me how good it is, this piece of nothing.. And how long it's able to fly with 150mA...longer than the mavic

    Oh u dodged Murphys law ! .....Glue didn't create mess as u forgot to use it via screw driver ..Well, probably it was too thick to spill around...

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually since it was thick glue, I didn't need to. I usually use a Skewer stick's point for fine jobs or Locktite with the brush. Plenty of times I have not dodged Murphy's law though! LOL.
