Amanda, I sincerely appreciate you for stepping out of your comfort zone. As a stutterer myself, I struggle with blocks and it’s like I know what to say but it just doesn’t come out. I’ve come to find out God has given us this thorn in our flesh to keep us close to him. Moses had a stutter and parted the sea. You my love have parted the fear ❤️ I cry because I know how you feel. I smile because you overcame. Much love from a stuttering boy in Oklahoma.
I just saw you on AGT. As a fellow dysfluent person, I'm so proud and happy that you had the courage to go perform. You sang beautifully. I'm also a speech pathologist, where dysfluency therapy is my jam. Just a little info - fluency often begins to get milder as you get into your mid to late 20's, probably due to the fact that a person is more comfortable, as they settle into their life. It doesn't go away but a person realizes that they aren't a big neon sign flashing, "stutterer", but it's just something that you do. Keep on being fearless!
