Hearing about slow 3:30 kilometres in my 40’s makes this weirdly fictional. I’m sure you all enjoyed the quidditch match at the end. Joking aside, keep up the great work. I’m mostly here to see what shoe has the most cushion that still works. Niche audience.
I disagree with the reviews. 6 miles today and they are comfortable, fast, stable, light and efficient. I say efficient because they just make my marathon pace, which is slower than a 10k pace or tempo pace, just feel locked in so that I can keep my pace almost forever it seems like. It’s not over aggressive like the vaporfly and not a bouncy moon boot like the alphafly. This is a long distance performance shoe for the serious runner that keeps you going over distance. These will bring me to the finish line in NYC 2022 at a pace I can be happy with and a finish that promises to be strong as well as fast. 💪🏃🔥
@@Amtcboy No. And the guy in the review has very wide feet so that might be a problem for people with wide feet. The problem I have is with tongue bunching. Not a huge fan of the tongue for that reason.
@@Amtcboy my foot is a little wide (but not overly so, I can run in vaporfly's, spreed2's and hoka X2's with no issue), and I had the issue with the eyelet too .. I loved the shoe but can't run in them over 10 miles without a blister forming, try before you buy
A great review, thanks a lot! On Sunday, I'm running a marathon, hesitating between them and Alphafly 2, but it's going to rain in Katowice, Poland, so a more stable ride may be crucial. Thanks again! Pawel from Poland
They are just like the shoes Jimmy wears and sells in an episode of Seinfeld - Special training shoes which improve vertical leap. Kramer wore them and, well, just watch the show…
Just got these and ran a 32K long run past weekend. For my foot with slight bunion problem, the top eyelet would stab into my big toe joint after about 10K. More people need to be warned about this!! I have seen many commenters suggesting KT tape over the joint or skipping the lacing on the top set of eyelets all together. Another issue is their laces. Listened to a lot of redditors and swapped out my Brooks shoe laces onto the adios pro 3, much better lockdown.
I gave the Pro 2 a chance at 150 usd. And I am loving them. My feet simple can not survive marathons on the vaporfly. The RC is a comfy shoe but not as fast. AP2 appear to be the perfect middle for me (not stable for many). But what is clear is that there is No reason to pay >200 for any super shoe any more. The improvements are so small in the new generation that it is just better to take the older generations at reduce price.
I had the same cutting issue on the prime X . I had to remove the laces from the upper loop to stop it rubbing . Not sure why they think it's a good idea to keep it as others had the same issue with those loops. Puma fixed the heel rubbing on the deviate nitro when they found out....Adidas double down and increase the price !!
Thanks for the reviews as alway quick and to the point. Value in these inflationary days is a key point. A few weeks ago bought another pair of the AAApro2 with 30% discount so 126 in the blue Danube colour-way ....126 vs 220 is a big gap.
Hey guys. I know you may end up doing a comparison video soon but didn’t know if you could possibly help me out with how you would compare these to the Endorphin pro 3. I’ve ran a lot in the adios pro 2s and like them, Vaporfly is still my favourite but need something more stable, the adios pro seemed to work well at stopping my weird left leg from collapsing in too much. Honestly any comments would help as could do with ordering asap and you are to the go to channel! Cheers guys
I just put on the pro3 and just by walking it already scratches on the lateral part of the finger, definitely the cause is that the ventilation holes that they have produce that uncomfortable friction. I'm going to put a patch on it to improve that friction
I’ve also had the rubbing issue only with my left shoe(slightly bigger foot). First run was fine but all runs after I’ve had that issue and feel it’s holding me back. Other than that I love the shoe so looking at options to sort out the problem area.
Good first thoughts as always. 👌 Pretty clear to me though that I am not getting the Adios Pro 3 if I can get some Alphafly V1/V2 or even an Adios Pro 2 on discount instead. If a shoe like this does not have this „Wow-sensation“ once you run in them, they are not worth the money in my opinion and there are other great alternatives now out there.
The rubbing issue is putting me off, I take the fit is similar to the Takumi Sen 8 in that it's pretty snug? The Takumi always rubs behind the ball of my foot, right where the arch ends. The price is putting me off,v why have this when I can choose the prime x.
I use my Pro2s exclusively for under 10km training, I can hit the bitumen hard and enjoy the soft landing with the carbon plate kick, the only downside is I can feel those rods a bit under foot but it’s never uncomfortable… how does the Pro3 compare?
Still using my Adios Pro 2 for long runs and longer tempo workouts. However, my Takumi is just too good. Is it safe to say, hold off on these? I’m eyeing the Speed 3 later in the future.
the same. i just watch it to pass the time :D offtopic: i'm not in barefoot shoes, but i managed to find some relatively low stack high (20mm-25mm) lightweight shoes to do my faster runs. still do my slower runs in stuff with more cushion, but i'm planning to do all my training in the light shoes once i get used to them.
I love the look and sculpting of the midsole.... however all of the other changes put me off a little bit, except for maybe the added width. I was fine with the stability of the 2 though.
Hi.. i face the same problem which u talked about it for the front area of the shoes ( after 10 km i had pain in front left foot. What is the solution for that ?
i had my first run in them and i had the same rubbing issue that you talked about in the video. had to retie my shoe to skip the lace loop at the bottom. i dont know if itll go away after a few runs but that really made me dislike them after my first run
I've only done one run in mine, but had an issue with the upper feeling like it was pinching the top of my right big toe. Not as bad as what Kieran experienced, but definitely annoying!
nike didn't spend a cent on these because it's adidas. but i agree the prices of these shoes are ridiculous specially for us outside US who need to pay for shipping and tax. running shoes used to be cheaper than basketball shoes but are more expensive now
I guess they won't because it would be like admitting they copied Nike. But if I tell you the truth, it is true that they should. The Metaspeed is up there with any ZoomX shoe because the material is just as stretchy and it shows. The Lightstike Pro is nice and comfortable but it's not quite as snappy as the ZoomX. The Adios Pro v1 with ZoomX would have been a scandal in terms of performance.
@@isidrotormogarcia4879 Yes, Pebax with Energyrods (vs a plate) might be faster for a lot of runners. The Saucony Endorphin Speed (Pwrun PB) and Puma Fast R (Nitro Elite) also copy Nike with Pebax foams and they are properly faster shoes.
I got a blister on my right foot only (on the arch) while running in pro 2. (my feet are pretty wide) Do you think I will have the same problem with pro 3 ? Would you say that pro 3 are as narrow as pro 2 in the arches ? Note: I had no issue with blisters with pro 1 (which in my opinion is the best adizero adios pro version)
Is it the beginning of the arch? I got that too from the right foot. I think it's the edge of the insole which is higher, the foot is rubbing against the sharp edge that caused the blister. I pulled out the insole and adjusted the position that solves the problem
Stack height in these new shoes are crazy,I tried a pair of Addistar and it’s so high I kept tripping up as my foot isn’t used to being that high off ground certainly takes some getting used too but hope this trend ends as it’s dumb for running imo 20-25mm under forefoot is more than enough
