I'm so happy to hear this. I've been tired and sad for 11 years and I finally reached out for help. I took my first dose this morning at 6 am. I'm praying for a miracle. I just want to feel normal so bad.
@Sokro63 It's everything I hoped it would be. I'm so incredibly grateful I found this medication. It's an absolute night and day difference. I did have some side effects in the beginning but how much better I feel made it totally worth it. I feel like a real person again. I used to be so tired I was miserable. Being alive was exhausting. That's completely gone now!
Tinnitus is a scary side effect, I'm sorry to hear you experience that, and hope it goes away completely! Before wellbutrin, I always felt hot while others felt normal or cold. On wellbutrin, I had to make some changes - moved my desk next to the air conditioner, opened windows in the winter, constantly turned down the thermostat, etc. When I visit guests' houses, I close the vent to my room so heat doesn't get in. It's good that I don't have cats (even though I love them so much) because they would hate me for keeping everything cold.
Thank you for sharing your experiences! I'll start taking Wellbutrin next week to 'cure' depression. I tried Escitalopram for 3 months, but I struggled a lot with the effects to the point I didn't feel myself anymore and hated taking them. Videos like these help me know I'm not going through all this alone :)
Tinnitus is terrible. Started getting it after a bad ear infection. After about 5 years, most of my tinnitus either went away or I got used to it. Just started on Wellbutrin, hopefully that doesn't bring it back! Thanks for your videos, watched most of them to get a personal perspective about it. You're very attentive to details and I appreciate that.
I've been taking Wellbutrin since early September now. Before I started I watched your 6 month update video to have sort of an idea of what to expect. The first 4 weeks were great for me. They felt 'normal' to me. Not even 'hyperactive' or anything. After that it suddenly stopped, and I was worried that it had stopped working, but today I thought back on your video and rewatched it and it kinda overlapped with your 'honeymoon period.' I don't have any of the other side effects. What I have noticed is that my brain fog has very slowly been clearing over the last week, and my executive dysfunction has also improved. I have started taking Wellbutrin, not for depression, but anhedonia which I've had for nearly 3 years now. The anhedonia actually caused me to burn out at my job. But I recovered from the burnout rather quickly through rationalization. I'm hoping that I will get my emotions back within the 6 months. Your 6 month update video has given me some more patience with this medication. :)
Thank you so much for your honest experiences and analysis of the medication. I was prescribed this medication today after finally seeking help for my unrelenting fatigue, hopelessness, and lack of desire to do anything for myself. You make me feel like there’s hope. Thank you
Thank you for making these Wellbutrin videos. They really eased my worry about taking a pharmaceutical drug. I know what I could expect to experience now. Thank you. -Shaphan Seiders

Up to you and your therapist (or psychiatrist) how long to take medication. But I struggled with this for a long time, wanting to face life "naturally." Maybe I'll stop taking my medication one day, but only if I think it's no longer helpful. People who benefit from coffee, for example, may drink it lifelong and not worry about it. The human body can withstand these drugs, and if they help the mind, they can help the body too. I'm much more consistent about exercising and eating healthy due to my medication, so I'm sure I'm healthier than I would be without it.
For my sleeplessness issues I have found 5 mg of melatonin and a type of mindfulness meditation helps. I quiet my thoughts and focus on my senses and breathing.
I've had to learn about Wellbutrin due to having to start it alongside my ADHD meds, and your videos are literally the only ones I've found that I could clearly understand. Take care :)
Magnesium is a big one to help with sleep. It helps regulate neurotransmitters like dopamine which wellbutrin increases. If we can't reduce dopamine levels at night it will keep us stimulated and awake. A dose of a good magnesium such as Glycinate or even better L-Threonate before bed will help your brain better process and reduce levels of dopamine at night which should help you sleep. Magnesium L-Threonate has the ability to cross the blood brain barrier so is the ideal choice for this situation. Really worth giving it a try! 2000mg equals about 144mg of elemental magnesium. If you want something else to add to make it really effective then add GABA at about 1000 - 2000mg before bed as well. Combine with good sleep hygiene practises like not using artificial lights an hour before bed and avoiding using your phone make a difference. Definitely drop the caffeine again as well! I have ADHD so take dopaminergic medications similar to wellbutrin, and whilst they are helpful in the day, it cause issues at night. Magnesium and Gaba have massively helped. Also my mum who has suffered with insomnia for years started using it after I suggested it and it has been a miracle for her.
I started taking 300mg Wellbutrin 13 days ago for my ADHD, since I don't react well to methylphenidate, right now I'm in a state of 'lighter' depression, but my social anxiety is a bit less severe😅 let's see what it looks like in three weeks😅
Wellbutrin relaxes me and i get very sleepy. First time i took it in the morning and i was tired and slept on and off all day. Take it now before bed and i sleep all night i had horrible insomnia for years.
I'm pretty sure I'm much older than you , probably by at least 25 years. But I never was the kind to say I couldn't learn from the young (as long as it makes sense lol). I just started with this about a week ago and have been having a lot of anxiety about taking it. Listening to you and others is slowly easing my anxiety about it. Great video. Glad you have the courage (that I couldn't muster) to make videos like these. I also get depressed with the fact that I'm taking this in the first place.
Hey random person!! I would like to say cudos to you for taking the step to keep your mind healthy. There is a lot of stigma towards mental health and I bet that’s why you’re feeling guilty about navigating this path!! I commend you for taking the step to keep your beautiful mind healthy! Coming from someone terrified to start Wellbutrin but have to do it to face this thing called life 😇
Just want to say thank you for these videos. Im about 2 months in with just wellbutrin. I was on fluoxetine and wellbutrin before amd didn’t like the brain fog from fluoxetine. Getting off fluoxetine seems to have made the wellbutrin side effects so much more pronounced. I dont know if this medication is right for me, at least on its own, my anxiety is the absolute worst its ever been and im getting stomach problems?? My appetite is slashed to the point of concern. I dont want to eat ever it seems. But my mood has been so much better and my head more clear. The anger thing freaked me out, and still does. But its hard to say if thats a bad thing because...well maybe i should be a bit angry at what lifes given me? Idk. Sorry for rambling. This is really comforting and i have a lot to discuss with my doc tomorrow so thank you.
I hope you can give it some more time - the negative mood side effects should wear off eventually. Anger is no fun to go through, I hope you find it calms down soon! I am also prone to anxiety. It's like my "baseline" - when most people feel normal, I feel anxious. Many of my habits and free time activities are about trying to calm anxiety or avoid increasing it. So I definitely understand your concern - fortunately, the increased anxiety did wear off for me after a few months on wellbutrin, and it returned to "baseline" levels.
could affect thyroid function. I'm on thyroid meds, and my doctor said we may need to lower my dose. That could impact thermal regulation and energy. A TSH test would show that. But if you didn't have your previous thyroid tests, it would just show where you are now. Somewhere close to 1 is optimal.
I've been taking 400 mg Wellbutrin SR for about 6 months and it definitely quit working. Luckily, no major side effects. As for sleep, I have a very sleep resistant mind... benzos, Ambien, and all that stuff do not knock me out. I take 100mg Seroquel at night for both sleep and mood stabilization but definitely doesn't help with sleep anymore. It did for like the first week and then went back to my usual mind thinking about every possible thing while laying in bed for hours. Not even anxiety, just random stuff 😭. This is not a side effect of seroquel for me. I've always been like that but it may cause it in other people
Sounds similar to me actually, ambien and others do not knock me out either. I had bad reaction to quetiapine (seroquel) and trazodone. Melatonin does not work of course. Work schedules with early mornings do not work, it is hard to fall asleep even when I’m really tired. I fall asleep quickly only when I am extremely exhausted, like hiking mountains for 12 hours exhausted.. I also think just about random stuff, it is not always anxiety. Although my therapist tells me that my sleep disorder is because of general anxiety and I’m slowly working through it. It is better right now, but I don’t know how long that’s gonna last 😅
You mentioned in earlier videos about body pain? Are you doing better with this problem now? This my biggest problem along with staying in bed so much. I really hope you come back as you have been a real big encouragement for me 💗
Hi, thank you for your kind comments! My body pain has decreased significantly, but that’s because for the past 2 years I have been actively working on my anxiety issues. I have way less anxiety now and so the physical symptoms that went with it decreased as well. And I wish you all the strength in your healing journey 💛
@Keita_thecyankat thank you so much for replying. I've been diagnosed with general anxiety which began as far back as my childhood but suddenly came with a vengeance as an adult. So I'm fighting that as well. We are very similar. Thanks again 💕
I started Wellbutrin about two weeks ago and for some reason I get extremely hot and feeling nauseous towards the end of the afternoon . Has anyone had that as well? Update: iI just got to the part of the video where you explained the body temp changes 🤣
Ты испугала меня тинитусом и тем что со временем будет трудно просыпаться. У меня идет первый месяц приема и пока только положительные изменения. Спасибо за информацию
I took Wellbutrin for a few years. (lowest of 3 doses) There is week long period of adapting to the med. After first taking it, I told my meds guy, "This stuff is like drinking a strong cup of coffee, but you are chill at the same time. I didn't even know that such a thing was possible." I remember thinking about this med, "Where have you been all my life?" Before the Wellbutrin, I was prescribed 5 Ativans (benzo) a month to take as necessary. And I used all of them every month But after beginning the Wellbutrin I didn't even have a desire to take the Ativan any more and cancelled that script. Meds people don't like to give you benzos because they can be very difficult to come off of. Coming off the Wellbutrin was hard. After 5 or 6 days I was so incredibly tired that I felt like I was dying. So I took one more and miraculously felt better. But I have been off all meds for a few years now. (Zoloft, Propanolol, Ativan).
Well, first of all I had to understand and also tell people around me to understand that my angry moments are because of medication. And that it is temporary. (Of course, the anger comes from somewhere within but the meds make it come out.) Tbh I think the meds heighten all of the emotions and because they have been repressed for so long, the anger just shows up as the most visibly intense for yourself and everyone around. At the moments of anger although I felt intense emotions I also knew that I am not being rational and it helped me to calm down faster. Taking a timeout alone helps too. When I felt like I’m starting to get grumpy, I apologized already in advance and explained that my emotions were not stable at the moment - that it is a treatment and healing process because in the meantime I was digging through all of my baggage to find the reasons for the repressed anger. And I found them, I understood that I had the right to feel the way I feel, I allowed myself to feel these emotions and I healed. I am not angry anymore. As for sleep - I stopped using any meds for that. I almost gave up when I realized in my therapy that my sleep disturbances might be connected to feeling unsafe. I’m working on changing those anxious patterns and honestly I have been able to fall asleep 3h earlier than usual.
I have been on wellbutrin, like almost a year, and I"m feeling that I am angry and anxious a lot of the time, and I stopped yesterday. I also take trazodone, and some kratom, I have autism, I struggle. Yeah, The tinnitus is there a Little bit sometimes.
Hey, not in my case. My anxiety stayed the same but as I understand Wellbutrin can make anxiety worse for some people. Usually though they would prescribe a med combo like Wellbutrin plus something for anxiety to balance it out.
My hair hardly grows on Wellbutrin. It's been a year on 300mg XL and my hair feels the thinnest it's ever been and shedding isn't slowing down. I'm going to taper off and stay off for 6 months, if no new hair growth starts then it could be something else, but the timing feels directly correlated. It really sucks. I've lost weight and been able to manage old binge eating habits on this medication. Quality of life greatly improved overall, just the hair concern.
I always had a hair thinning problem (because my hair is very thin and prone to breaking) so it is hard for me to say if Wellbutrin impacts it, but in the recent years I have started regularly taking hair/nail supplements, using expensive hairloss shampoos, serums, oils and avoiding heat tools, and I really do see a lot of new hair growth. It takes months, but it works. Just wanted to share this info in case you would want to try it too.
@Keita_thecyankat oh absolutely, if putting in the work means being able to keep both hair and medication I'll try anything! So good to hear you've found ways to improve it. What shampoos, serums, and supplements have you had success with? And just a thought here, no pressure and definitely not trying to impose more work on you as your videos have already helped a lot! Still, a whole video on the topic of hair thinning from you would be incredible!!
I read that taking Wellbutrin SL is better if you’re experiencing hair loss or maybe lower the dose to 150 mg! Take MSM powder for hair loss. Take it during the day or in the morning after taking Wellbutrin, but wait an hour or two before taking it. MSM powder is amazing, not only does it help with hair growth, but it’s good for skin and nail. It’s called the “beauty mineral” for a reason! Hot oil treatments and deep conditioning once a week, and scalp massages for 5-10 minutes a day will help tremendously. Take collagen with vitamin c. I take cod liver oil with a kale and blueberry smoothie or you can get any collagen powder. Just a few tips (:
10,000 mg biotin every day for the rest of your life will help your hair be its very best. Im a natural baby thin blonde. Blue eyes. Pale. Biotin 10,000 mg greatly helps my hair. Its thicker. The curly ringlets I had as a baby are back. I only had a slight wave. Im 51. My hair loves the biotin. Any brand. Collagen helps. Most people dont know but youre supposed to take collagen on an empty stomach. 2 hrs after a meal or 1 hour before. Wait one hour before eating protein after taking collagen. I have been on collagen for decades. The biotin...10,000 mg every day is what makes the difference. Enjoy!!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
@@keyliving3071 I've been taking powdered collagen this whole time with a meal, dang it 😅 thanks for the heads up!! I'll start taking it in the mornings on an empty stomach instead. Will definitely try the 10,000 biotin as well! It's great to hear you've gotten your curls back 🧡
Could you perhaps share a bit more on anxiety and wellbutrin? Like did the wellbutrin increase of decrease your anxiety? And could you in that case share some examples as well please? Thank you so much :) my psychiatrist and I are looking to switch my dexamphetamine to wellbutrin
Hi, wellbutrin did not affect my anxiety in any way. At the beginning of my therapy I was given bromazepam in low doses for two weeks, that took my anxiety away completely for about 6 months. Then gradually it came back but in the meantime in therapy we were working on understanding the causes. I realized that I feel unsafe all the time - my body and mind was constantly in survival mode for years. So I worked a lot to understand why that developed and then on changing my thought patterns in my head, changing them to understand that I don’t have to be in survival mode all the time, that I am safe 99% of the time. Telling myself that “right now I am safe enough to relax” helped me lower my anxiety significantly.
Have you tried Trazadone for sleep? I found it very effective. And not addictive contrary to a lot of other sleep meds. The only negative is that you feel like trash the first month after you wake up. But if you just ignore that and just have breakfast you'll start feeling normal again. It also make you sleep longer.
I tried trazodone and even quetiapine, unfortunately both of them give me slight allergic reaction - I cannot breathe normally, my nose kinda swells up, that’s the best I can describe it.
I've been on it for 12+ years and can say it still works. But it probably has some side effects that I am not entirely aware of. But better those than deep, chronic depression.
been on the 150mg for about 3 weeks, i took it for lack of motivation/concentration and negative mindset. i felt it working for the first week or so like a 20% energy boost and 20% more positive mindset and now i feel the same old "cant concentrate and be bothered to do anything productive" me. have no side effects. maybe i need a higher dose.
@@girrlrot nah i went off it and then when i talked about upping my dose, my psychiatrist told me i need to take a full month of 150 again before i should up to 300mg, did another 3weeks 150mg and gave up because it didnt do much, just made my mood super stable where i felt no highs or lows and i rather feel like shit than OK all the time, because feeling all right all the time doesn't make me want to get up and change my life.. and trust me i need to change my life! after that i got examined for adhd and basically got a diagnosis and i want drugs that are commonly prescribed for adhd and not depression because my mood is stable anyway.. i ve been depressed i know what that is like and i havent been depressed for a years.
@@adnankamen6470thanks for sharing I’m still on 150mg of Wellbutrin it’s been almost 4 weeks now. I have depression and need medication to help with the depression. I was on another brand it helped so much with depression but made me gain weight like crazy which is why I’ve been switched but I still feel depressed. When I was on pristiq I didn’t feel depressed at all but the weight became a huge issue. Sigh…
@@adnankamen6470hey. I know you’ve already moved on from this but Antidepressants usually kick in around the time you actually stopped, which can be 4-8 weeks. Professionals recommend you continue taking even if you don’t feel any changes for this reason. Anyway, I hope you found what works for you.
Don’t get me wrong - sexual drive increases significantly when on wellbutrin. It just had slightly decreased compared to how it was when I just started and how it is one year later. When you start wellbutrin, things are intense and then they gradually calm down.
Also headaches happen only if you dont’t take your medication as you should. Wellbutrin has a withdrawal period and it should be stopped very gradually by small increments. If you just abruptly stop you will experience withdrawal symptoms and headaches are a part of that.
I’m have experienced close to 70% hair loss at this point 2-3 years in. I quit taking it 11 weeks ago and it’s still shedding at an alarming rate but people on Reddit said it can take up to a year to clear your system.
@@Keita_thecyankat just a general update is helpful too! people like to know how other people are doing after more time on welbutrin. Honestly you could broaden your channel too, I saw your awesome art on your insta and see that you are a gamer too, you could branch out into those topics and see how it goes
I need it to work for me I have it bad to the point I can’t function I’ll get up in morning go on couch sit like 6 hrs I used be so energetic full life depression I wish didn’t exist it’s so dibilllating it can actually ruin your life
Hello everyone, my day 2 on wellbutrin XR 150mg. Yesterday first dose, I went to sleep late, woke up pretty late as well but I noticed swollen eyelid on left eye and a bit of redness on my back. Nothing spectacular but just wanned to ask will this fade away? I still want to continue using this medication because sertraline and mirtazapine failed so hard on my end, they zombied me and made me suicidal for a year of taking them.
Just left my doctor my first assessment and it was over a hour and she sent the order in for 150mg I was in lexapro on and off for 2 weeks it’s terrible for me
I just started this medicine Bupropion 150Mg for my ADHD and IED I am feeling much better. But I am a very social person, and according to my doctor it okay to drink on weekends, like 5-7 drinks also but google says otherwise. If you are an occasional drinker can you please comment on it?
Hey, unfortunately I cannot help you with this because I don’t use alcohol. From what I understand it is generally not a good idea to mix any antidepressant with alcohol.
Im on day 3 - day one felt i was on a ecstasy trip day 2 i went to the gym and did alot of cardio give me energy wasnt as bad as day 1 but day 3 let me tell you today i felt disoriented confused and anxious and palpitations but went away within 7 hrs i had to take buspirone at 12 noon because since i drive alot i couldn't focus now that i know how it feels im ready for day 4 lol anyone on the same experience also insomnia i do take hydroxyzine because ive suffered from chronic insomnia so my insomnia got worse since my nature herbs no longer work anymore.
I'm taking seroxat 30mg and wellbutrin 300mg and I'm not feeling well at all. the medicine seems to make my depression worse, causes ringing in the ears, shortness of breath...I drink it for 5 days. I do not know what to do
It is very difficult to figure it all out on your own, so just talk to your psychiatrist and tell them what you are going through. Then hopefully you can both make a decision on what to do next. It can take a few unsuccessful tries, but it should be possible to find the right meds that fit you.

Yes, I lost about 20 pounds on this and can keep it off when I keep my sugar intake down. This medication helps control my urge to eat for fun or out of boredom/sadness. My appetite is gone for the first half of the day, so in a weird way its like intermittent fasting? Around 1pm I'll be hungry and eat normal amounts. Increased fiber intake, nuts and fruits especially, has helped keep cravings at bay as well.
Heavy headaches these days for me, very scared about that. Thinking in get off my pills but i know i need to be pushed (whatever it is) ... (150 mg, month and a half ago)
I got hard permanent tinnitus after accidental adderal overdose. It hs been ringing like for 8 years now. I heard it even when metro trains passed close to me. But last year it went three times lower thank to some meds. Also I bought recently wellbutrin for adhd treatment, took one pill, and after watching some vids on it, I will definetly not use it. And its not because of tinnitus😂
Psych nurse here if you go off wellbutrin you will relapse. Mental illness medication is to stop symptoms while youre taking it. Its not a headache its a mental illness ongoing
You will relapse if you don’t work through your trauma and if you don’t build new thought patterns and habits that allow you to live in remission for the rest of your life. If you just take pills to supress symptoms without fixing anything in your life, and then stop taking the pills, then of course you will relapse.
I honestly don’t understand why people who need meds are so desperate to get off, if they are working just accept that you need them that’s it. Simple. Why put yourself through getting off then if you feel better on them.
Okay, I can explain because it is actually not that simple. So when you are depressed, most of the time you walk around lethargic and disinterested in life and you have no strength to do/fix anything. Ofc you can go to therapy and heal your trauma to get out of the depressive state naturally but it takes years exactly because you have no energy. Taking the medication gives you that energy quicker, as well as works with neurotransmitters in your brain helping you get rid of that lethargy and demotivation. While your body has that boost, it is way easier to work through your trauma, as well as build new habits and behaviour patterns that help resolving the depressive state and help living normally from that point on. When you are done with healing, you don’t need that boost anymore, so you don’t have to take meds. They are quite serious and impact your body in a lot of other ways too. They help in some areas but they also harm in others. Meds are always a package like that. Why should I continue taking the pills after I have healed? It does not make any sense. Pills are not the solution in this case. They are a temporary boost while your work on yourself. Sadly most people don’t understand that and are looking for “happy pills” to take forever so that they can ignore the actual root causes. It just doesn’t work that way.. I can honestly say that after I dug through all my childhood trauma in the last 2 years of therapy, understood all the “whys” and healed from all the bullshit, I have not felt depressed again. Yes, I can be sad sometimes which is normal, but not the pre-therapy levels lethargic depression that I had. I have built new thought patterns and behaviours that I now base my mentally healthy life on. I have lowered my dose to below the usual minimum, and I can see that I can function very well. So I am pretty sure I will be fine without meds too. It is not like I have an incurable illness that I would need to take meds for, for all my life. I hope this at least somewhat explains the thing that you said you don’t understand.
I was almost incapacitated by chronic fatigue due to depression. It gave me energy and motivation back. So grateful for it!
I'm so happy to hear this. I've been tired and sad for 11 years and I finally reached out for help. I took my first dose this morning at 6 am. I'm praying for a miracle. I just want to feel normal so bad.

After that it suddenly stopped, and I was worried that it had stopped working, but today I thought back on your video and rewatched it and it kinda overlapped with your 'honeymoon period.'
I don't have any of the other side effects.
How are you doing?
Thank you for sharing your experiences. It's a major help.
Thank you so much for your honest experiences and analysis of the medication. I was prescribed this medication today after finally seeking help for my unrelenting fatigue, hopelessness, and lack of desire to do anything for myself. You make me feel like there’s hope. Thank you

I quiet my thoughts and focus on my senses and breathing.
i just stated taking wellbutrin 5 days ago,,, on day 3 i noticed tinnitus and thought nothing of it! glad to hear other people got it too.
It started on my 20th day of taking it.
I've had to learn about Wellbutrin due to having to start it alongside my ADHD meds, and your videos are literally the only ones I've found that I could clearly understand. Take care :)
💜 hi
I just want to give you a complement by sharing.
If I was or wasn't taking this RX, you gave valuable insight.
I appreciate that !
Thank you for sharing your first video and this follow up video. Both were very informative and beneficial.
Thank you for all the great information! I love your voice!
Thank you. I have GABA (and L-Theanine) already at home, but I will have to look for L-Threonate then as well.
Are gaba n l threonate addictive ? Is there any side effect of using magnisium gaba and L -Threonate ?
@@Keita_thecyankatAre gaba n l threonate addictive ? Is there any side effect of using magnisium gaba and L -Threonate ?
Can you take it in pill form?
GABA alone cannot pass brain blood barrier. In form of picamilon it can.
But it's unrecommended to use it over 4 weeks
I started taking 300mg Wellbutrin 13 days ago for my ADHD, since I don't react well to methylphenidate, right now I'm in a state of 'lighter' depression, but my social anxiety is a bit less severe😅 let's see what it looks like in three weeks😅

Update please 🙏
No update? Whats the point of this comment then?
Update?
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thank you for all of your videos. i just started Buproprion. Im on week two. it was very helpful to watch all your update videos. thanks so much
could affect thyroid function.
Looking right then left , rapidly while blinking will get rid of most Tinnitus !
I hope you’re taking care of yourself :)
I started Wellbutrin about two weeks ago and for some reason I get extremely hot and feeling nauseous towards the end of the afternoon . Has anyone had that as well?
Update: iI just got to the part of the video where you explained the body temp changes 🤣
Excellent : Thank you for sharing this : Ive noticed my Tinnitus increased .
Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤
I have been taking Welbutrin for years. I'm maxed out at 450 mg.
Do you feel like it’s still effective?
Ты испугала меня тинитусом и тем что со временем будет трудно просыпаться. У меня идет первый месяц приема и пока только положительные изменения. Спасибо за информацию
Thank you
Thank you!
I took Wellbutrin for a few years. (lowest of 3 doses)
There is week long period of adapting to the med.
After first taking it, I told my meds guy, "This stuff is like drinking a strong cup of coffee, but you are chill at the same time. I didn't even know that such a thing was possible."
I remember thinking about this med, "Where have you been all my life?"
Before the Wellbutrin, I was prescribed 5 Ativans (benzo) a month to take as necessary. And I used all of them every month
But after beginning the Wellbutrin I didn't even have a desire to take the Ativan any more and cancelled that script.
May I ask how you feel currently?
you still using it?
I was wondering - how did you manage the anger that you said you experienced when starting? Also do you still need medication for sleep?
@Keita_thecyankat thank you so much for such a thoughtful reply
Aloha Keita. Have you been assessed for ADHD, specifically "inattentive" or "combination" types?
No, why ?
I have been on wellbutrin, like almost a year, and I"m feeling that I am angry and anxious a lot of the time, and I stopped yesterday. I also take trazodone, and some kratom, I have autism, I struggle. Yeah, The tinnitus is there a Little bit sometimes.
Hi , may I ask you something, does Wellbutrin, worked also on anxiety? Busy and overactive mind ?
It's great to hear you've gotten your curls back 🧡
I have had tinnitus my whole life, so it really was not a change for me.
Thank you for sharing
Have you tried Trazadone for sleep? I found it very effective. And not addictive contrary to a lot of other sleep meds. The only negative is that you feel like trash the first month after you wake up. But if you just ignore that and just have breakfast you'll start feeling normal again. It also make you sleep longer.
I tried trazodone and even quetiapine, unfortunately both of them give me slight allergic reaction - I cannot breathe normally, my nose kinda swells up, that’s the best I can describe it.
Wow that's crazy. I really hope you find a way to still get some sleep somehow. Wish I could helpful cause I know how awful sleepless nights are.
I've been on it for 12+ years and can say it still works. But it probably has some side effects that I am not entirely aware of. But better those than deep, chronic depression.
Did you also experience panicky anxiety with your depression or that feeling of derealization? If so did it help both anxiety and depression??
@@BobbyLouxMusic All I can say is that I am more stable. My self management has improved over the years.
been on the 150mg for about 3 weeks, i took it for lack of motivation/concentration and negative mindset. i felt it working for the first week or so like a 20% energy boost and 20% more positive mindset and now i feel the same old "cant concentrate and be bothered to do anything productive" me. have no side effects. maybe i need a higher dose.
Did you increase?
I’m having a similar experience. Have you increased?
Sigh…

Yeah, I will
@1:50 Sexual drive decrease on wellbutrin :.( @4:08 cute black cat @5:24 headaches :...(
Don’t get me wrong - sexual drive increases significantly when on wellbutrin.
Hairloss? Have you experienced that
I’m have experienced close to 70% hair loss at this point 2-3 years in. I quit taking it 11 weeks ago and it’s still shedding at an alarming rate but people on Reddit said it can take up to a year to clear your system.

Are you still on the Wellbutrin? How are things going
Have you ever tried to quit the meds? Withdrawal is strong?
I had withdrawal when there was Wellbutrin shortage in pharmacies. It was just headaches for me, nothing super terrible.
Did your anger/rage go away? I didnt hear you mention that.
Yes, it went away. I was thinking to do a separate video on anger that’s why I did not mention it I guess.
It can take up to 4-8 weeks to stabilize. Hang in there.
You can add Valium or Mirtazapine for sleep.
Valium is terrible for long term sleep. Withdrawals from Benzodiazepines is worse than Heroin

It is very difficult to figure it all out on your own, so just talk to your psychiatrist and tell them what you are going through. Then hopefully you can both make a decision on what to do next. It can take a few unsuccessful tries, but it should be possible to find the right meds that fit you.

Did anybody experience weight loss?
Yes, I lost about 20 pounds on this and can keep it off when I keep my sugar intake down. This medication helps control my urge to eat for fun or out of boredom/sadness. My appetite is gone for the first half of the day, so in a weird way its like intermittent fasting? Around 1pm I'll be hungry and eat normal amounts. Increased fiber intake, nuts and fruits especially, has helped keep cravings at bay as well.
I started taking it January 17th and I've been feeling tired, dizzy and nauseous.

Tinnitus is a major symptom of this drug and can be permanent.
It probably can be permanent, but I am currently in the process of dropping wellbutrin (taking 75mg daily for now) and I don’t have tinnitus anymore.
Are you able to share how it affects your sexual health?
I have tinnitus.
Did it affect sexual functions !?
her accent is cute
Psych nurse here if you go off wellbutrin you will relapse. Mental illness medication is to stop symptoms while youre taking it. Its not a headache its a mental illness ongoing
You will relapse if you don’t work through your trauma and if you don’t build new thought patterns and habits that allow you to live in remission for the rest of your life. If you just take pills to supress symptoms without fixing anything in your life, and then stop taking the pills, then of course you will relapse.
Me podría embarazar si tomo wellnutrim
Destroyed me
I honestly don’t understand why people who need meds are so desperate to get off, if they are working just accept that you need them that’s it.
Please test your tyroid... FT4, FT3, TSH, ATPO. You have hypothyroidism 100%.
I have tested it, my thyroid results came back perfect.
I need another update, it’s been a year
