@@ChrisVincelli i pretty much agree on everything that you mentioned, less opportunities, high cost of living & taxes, awfully bad winter, and worst of all is the healthcare. Even a 3rd world country has much better healthcare compared to Canada. Canadians are not nice, they are arrogant, and stereotype.
@@syedmohammadsifat7373 You might consider the huge amount of money that the terrible Canadians were forced to spend on your education here. I'm a retired professor and the amount of money that any student, domestic or international, pays is a drop in the bucket of what it costs to educate them, I'm well aware of the actual cost. You've given the Canadian taxpayer such a gracious thanks. I'm sure the ones working minimum wage jobs are delighted that you had the benefits of a PhD on their taxes.
I used to take trips up to Vancouver when I lived in Seattle years ago. I heard about this "Canadians are nice" stereotype but after going there many times, I can see that the "Canada Nice" attitude is very similar to Midwest Nice in the US. It's polite and mild mannered on the surface but deep down, people don't actually care about you or each other and everyone sort of lives in their little bubble while secretly judging everybody else from afar. It's a weird vibe that makes me uncomfortable. It's not the kind of environment where you can be free to just be yourself. There's sort of a pretentious undertone where you have to look and act a certain way in order to fit in and be respected by people. Not my cup of tea. Good Luck to you though. I like your channel and have been watching for quite some time.
@@ChrisVincelli I think a lot of Americans look at Canada as basically the "Liberal Utopia" version of the US (free healthcare, lax immigration, stricter gun laws etc) and assume it's some cleaned up version of our country. That's where the allure comes from.
This. The most accurate description of them I’ve read in a long time. Polite and mild mannered, but hugely passive aggressive when their narrative or entitlement feels threatened. Their true colours inevitably show when they’re given something that provides a stage for them to attempt to prove the identity they’ve created for themselves that they believe gives them relevance in the world. Inevitably sanctimonious in nature, the Canadian will usually try to assert relevance by comparing themselves to America in similar fashion to a jealous younger sibling intimidated by the successful and powerful firstborn son. Sad, fake, substance devoid NPCs. They love a good liberal echo chamber.
Canadian system does not let Canada to grow to its potential. Canada limit itself by being mediocre and less competitive. Everything in Canada is manipulated, sharing the pie, sacrificing economic progress and personal satisfaction. Yes you are correct on all counts, may be let go the weather.
That's right, I see it in my work workplace. The people who stay in the company for 20-25 years are reluctant to accept new changes and challenges. They can't even think of making any changes, they love to stay in their comfort zone and they hate people who work hard and make some remarkable changes to the systems. Really GOD saves Canada!

I wish I could leave Canada. I just dont have the required funds to do so right now. Canada has degraded so much in just 20 years. Its absolutely nothing like it used to be. Canada 20 years ago was golden compared to what Canada is today. Its a disaster. Everything is collapsing. Health care is collapsing. Infrastructure is collapsing. Services are collapsing. And prices and costs are skyrocketing up and up. Even something critical like getting through to 911 calls has failed in many cities. So even in an emergency you cant rely on getting help from calling 911.
@ChrisVincelli yes,get rid of the silly buracacies that punishes growth and development. The people need to stop being passive and complacent, they lack real drive to build
@@ChrisVincelli Honestly I dont know. Canadian population growth in a 20 year time span has risen far beyond what our infrastructure was built for. I wanted to build my life and grow my career in Canada, but then one day I was traveling to university on a ctrain, and I heard a well-suited guy uttering “M..ther fu’king immigrant” while staring at me. That was the day I decided to leave Canada. Better to leave that place where you feel unwanted or unwelcome.

Canadians are not nice, they're just polite and passive-agressive. Of course, some people are really nice, but it's hard to tell the difference between those who fake and those who are genuine.
Canada looked so nice and welcoming from outside with all the "immigration propaganda", but as soon as I entered the country, I felt like Canadian people were polite and followed rules but they didn't really want me here, and I don't really belong here. There are some truly kind people here too like everywhere else, but it's difficult to tell because everyone is too shy and socially awkward, and I often see some random people with micro aggression, and some old people are very racist here. I try to stay positive and be kind to people, but the ratio of bad experience is so high that it's better to avoid interaction and stay miserable like Canada is a social prison. I'm considering moving out next year. It's like they made it look so good so that foreigners would come and work for Canada while they take unemployment checks by lying and complain about foreigners. Canada has superiority complex in which they have to compensate their inferiority about their lack of rich culture, creativity and economy, etc. It's ok to be normal. Canada is not special just like everyone else. I know it's difficult to stay positive among these cold people but we should not let it ruin our lives! We should stay positive and keep an eye on equal relationships.

@@ChrisVincelli Essentially all of your points. The number 1 point from a business perspective is that Canada is simply not the country to try to be an entrepreneur. The governments go out of their way to stifle innovation and tax you into the stone age. Kevin O'Leary has a lot more to say on this issue.
In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world. Their are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, socialism is mathematically impossible to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

The only people who say that Canada is THE place to be are wealthy Torontonians or Ottawa federal government workers, anyone who is fairly well insulated against the current social problems driving the rest of us crazy. Ironically this is also the group most likely to favour them - woke policies, soft on crime policies, insane rates of immigration & refugee arrival despite a limited amount of resources, & pay rates and pensions for civil servants including teachers that are so far removed from what most private sector workers get, and every time a contract is up their unions demand the government bleeds us (taxpayers) more.
Canada in one line. Give 50% in tax before it hits your bank account, rest 13% when u buy anything, spent rest 37% in living monthly cost due to high living cost, and weather sucks (8 of 12 months) each year that means if you live 60 years 40 years u spend in cold, locked in your home.
@@ChrisVincelli one way would be to tax less. When working class is taxed less they save and invest in the economy more. They have money to spend. More people are motivated to work hard and earn more, when they know more than 60% is not going to government. Higher tax encourages mediocrity where people slack off because what is the use of working harder. Encourage investment in industries which make something and discourage investment in housing which doesn't make anything. House flipping and investment is just selling the rotting cheese to the next buyer/fool at higher cost with nothing invented or made. Money in housing is wasted. Someone might argue you get rent, but that again is invested in housing here in Canada, which again is wasted. The renter are wasting their major salary on rent, and landlords wastes on buying existing houses at higher prices. This creates nothing. Think about monopoly game. Canadian housing would be a monopoly game where 2 players would buy each other land/house for higher cost, and sell to each other again for more money. House/land flipping. The rent they get from other player landing on their tile would be again spent on buying other player house or land for higher price. Soon they will run out of money. In real world, Canada prints more money so we just get inflation and never run out money. But again this hampers real growth. This money could have been invested in infrastructures, Health, education, new industries, to promote entrepreneurs etc. People are really pissed here, when they worked 40 years and all they have is 1 house. Healthcare is in shambles and with long waiting time. What is the use of paying higher taxes when you can't get medical treatment on time and to get treatment you need to fly to another country, and pay out of pocket. I can write a book lol. Anyways people will figure it out now or later lol.

New Brunswick is a backward socialist backwater that is heavily dependent on taxpayers from western Canada(transfer payments). The mentality is “what should the government do for me”. If you have an ounce of entrepreneurialism or desire for upward mobility, don’t move there.
Agree 100%. I’ve lived in this country for most of my life and I can’t stand the climate (with the exception of far west coast) and the culty Canadian social culture (don’t rock the boat, pressure to be “open” to everything and no feeling of common culture or values) also, thanks to open door policies, housing is totally unaffordable and there is very little to see. I’m not an outdoors enthusiast (except beaches) and if you don’t like hiking, skiing, skating and other outdoor stuff, there isn’t much to do in the winters. It’s not a social culture of parties and get together in canada. I wish it was more so. Part of the problem is that the vast majority of people move to canada for economic reasons only. That does not breed much of a culture or a nation. I definitely dream of moving to the US. It’s tough because literally 95% my family lives in one province. Well, each life has its own story, there is no universal formula for everyone. Like, for example, me: I’m moving to Canada from Caribbean because I’m sick and tired of weather, infinite vacation-lifestyle, informality, garbage on the streets, poverty…It’s weird to hear people who born or lived all their life in civilized society - wishing to go to live in 3rd world just to cut costs…Obviously, US is completely different subject…but even there: crime rate skyrocketed, shootings are just an everyday activity, broke-n-grub car robbery are not even payed attention in police station, I was just laughed on in San Fran…So yeah, everyone’s criteria for happiness are different.

@@ChrisVincelli I don't know. I came only 2 years back to CA. I thought the people would be the same as the Americans but they are much different. They are not really humble.
Thanks. Just ask if someone(aged late 30) has never been Canada before and then decides give up career in home country and plans to immigrate to Canada for permanent residence, do you think it's a big cost...or even a risk ?
What is the benefit of coming to Canada now? When Canada opened up in the seventies, there were many advantages to coming to Canada. Back then there was a lot of work in the lumber industry in western Canada and big factories in eastern Canada. In those days, if you were willing to do any work, you would get a job within 8-10 days. In 1990, a bachelor apartment went for $500 a month and a one-bedroom was $600 a month. Almost all would get their 3-4 bedroom house within 10 years. Groceries used to be so cheap that $200 a month could support the entire family. The telephone bill was $10 per month. A Vancouver-Toronto bus ticket was only $100. School education was good, children had to give exams. It used to be very easy to see a doctor. Buses were less crowded. Now the standard of education has gone down so much that children become like robots after finishing school. If you have to go to the hospital, you have to wait for 8-10 hours to see the doctor. New immigrants find basements for shelter. Getting your own house has become a dream now. Those who have bought houses will have to pay the mortgage for a long time. Many homeowners are paying interest only, there is no reduction in the principal. Bus service is so sparse that sometimes more than 100 passengers wait for a 38-seater bus. International students are in a very bad situation. Spend 25-30 lakhs, live 4-5 together in basements and do hard labor jobs (warehousing, retail cashier, security). Even if they do 2 years diploma they do not get any good job, only minimum wage jobs. Those with good jobs or jobs (income of eighty thousands or more) should come to Canada with a lot of thought, because when they come here, they are all considered workers and they have to find low-paying jobs and have to live in often in basements. Just the on thing that always gets me is why do Canadian's hate on America and Americans all the time? We are allies and make each other rich. I think the British propaganda about anti-Americanism brainwashed a lot of Canadian's back in the day but still continues to this day. Just watch the many videos of what canadian's think about americans and 95% of them will only say extremely negative stuff about America and the American people. However, when Americans get asked what they think of Canada 95% is all positive. Seems a little immature on the Canadian's, got that little brother syndrome big time lol.

CoV!d broke the ice and showed you Germany's dark side. It can become a police state with the flip of a switch, with citizens turning on each other. By the time CoV!d wrapped up, it would not have taken much for the citizens and police to load the deplorable unv@xed into rail cars.
Then came the impacts of printing Billions a week, a neuo-socialist coalition government and a war in the Ukraine to crash the economy and people's budgets. You have politicians that hate Germany being paid well to destroy it. So you have the same issues as in Canada; houses and condos have doubled since 2015, rents are unaffordable, fuel costs, electricity, food prices etc have increased 200-300%. The climate policies are destroying businesses and driving companies out of Germany. Unlike Canada or the US where many policies impact homeowners prospectively, German law makers make changes retroactively. For example, if you don't upgrade the energy efficiency in your home by XX, they will fine you on an increasing scale, then pull your occupancy permit. The goal is to have people, like seniors, that cannot afford the 100s of thousands it make take to upgrade an old house to sell it to Blkrocks, Vnguards of the World and rent.
I'm waiting for my kids to finish their trade education, which is a bright light here and then we'll reevaluate where we move to. The main thing I miss is my freedom.

@@Bambotb No it's not like that, things are changing salaries are getting better and also there are lot of job opportunities and cost of living is one of the lowest I guess.
Thank you. After this video I'd never move to Canada to live but just to visit as a tourist.
Were you considering moving there?
@@ChrisVincelli Yes but after seeing this video I ain't gonna now!!!
Don’t visit as a tourist. You are better off staying in America!
I left Canada for high paying high tech job offered in Taiwan. I never looked back.
Canadians have a strong passport. It's much easier for Canadians to get a work permit than a lot of countries in the world. Just leave Canada for countries with affordable housing, accessible healthcare, future career promising job market and cheap cost of living. These countries include a lot of European ones such as France and Germany, or Asian countries like Singapore, Japan and Taiwan.
How can we improve Canada?
It's not that easy man I've been looking for jobs in europe but they all need the EU work permit which i don't have I've also been trying to find an online job that let's me work remotely from anywhere in the world it's not working either
There are thousands upon thousands of people looking for these kind of jobs so they can move somewhere cheaper

Video is spot on. Agree 100% with all points. Even normal citizens without high dreams still would love to leave Canada.
I came to Ontario in 1986 and although I'm grateful my parents brought us over.......lol. My dad started to vocalise a lot of what you are saying in the video in the early 90s and by the time I turned 18 or so I realised he (and you) were right. The job market is a complete joke. Canadians talk about networking but they are actually referring to nepotism. The winter is beautiful but it goes on forever. I was back in Canada from 2017-2019 and were hit by a freezing cold snow storm in Southern Ontario in the last week of April. The housing market has been awful since the late 80s and it has only gotten worse. The government on both sides the aisle has completely screwed over middle and lower income locals and blatantly lied to immigrants. People are polite but it is often insincere. I actually find people friendly in the States and more honest about their feelings in Europe and Asia. I left Canada in 2007, 2014, and 2019 and I doubt I will ever come back. It feels good to hear other people speaking up and confronting the lies.
Point 5 is spot on.

Sales tax is so expensive, not much job opportunities mostly lowly labour jobs, living and wasting your life from paycheck to paycheck, medical is too long of a wait, car insurance is expensive and so stupid in BC.
What are you going to do about it?
The mass immigration in this country is insane and out of control. This place looks more like India or the Middle East. It's terrible 😢

I immigrated to Canada in 2012, and I left in 2019. Even when things were comparatively better near the beginning, it was clear to me that the country is overrated. After 2015, things really started to go to shit, and after I left, I would go back to visit and check on loved ones, and every time I went there, I'm reminded as to why I left in the first place.
I applaud you man. It really is getting bad in Canada. This country is only becoming more Woker everyday the longer Blackface is in power. And so much mass migration into Canada too even with Canada being in a major housing crisis because the government lies abroad saying that Canada is an amazing place to live, while many are struggling to even have a roof over their head.
Lol, do you think Canada is gonna change under a conservative gov? You are dreaming.
@@bikerfrommars415 I never said that everything will change under a conservative government as I believe it won't. I only think the Conservatives will be slower with their destruction of Canada than the Liberals but I still think overall nothing will fundamentality change in Canada even if the Conservatives get into power. They all serve the same neoliberal globalist agenda at the end of the day.
Thanks for this video and presenting a level headed summary of why. I love Canada but it’s just not sustainable to live in that slice of heaven. I wish that changes but till then, anyone who’s even a tiny bit ambitious, is moving south of the border.
How can Canada be improved?
As an immigrant from Korea, I agree with most of the content. I will return to Korea again. Canada needs wealthy immigrants and international students.
I've been trying to leave Canada for years. How do you just move to America and work. ???
School, work, sponsorship. Why are you looking to leave Canada?
Canada in one line. Give 50% in tax before it hits your bank account, rest 13% when u buy anything, spent rest 37% in living monthly cost due to high living cost, and weather sucks (8 of 12 months) each year that means if you live 60 years 40 years u spend in cold, locked in your home.
Very true. How can we fix it?
I can confirm that taxes in most of Europe are even higher...

Tennessee or Florida would be my top choices. I sort of wish my ancestors would have just stayed in Europe, where most places seem to have a more social “cafe” culture.

Number 4 is my favourite because it’s so TRUE!!!
I’ve been saying this for a very, very long time. Canadians, like their country, are a facade.
It's because of ignorance, wouldn't you say?
