Brilliantly multi-talented, deservedly Award-Winning Actress, Zendaya, is so humble and wonderful. Can hardly wait to see her figure much more prominently in DUNE2! I do wish she'd dressed in her usual stunningly stylish yet more modest attire for the London Premiere, though. Still, it was also Futuristic like her other gorgeous DUNE promo ensembles, and is in keeping with Futuristic, magnificent film, DUNE2.
Pugh is a brilliant actress.

they look like literally sci fi dresses
They are following the great Zendaya's lead. Zendaya started dressing in styles reminiscent of her movies starting all the way back with SPIDER MAN. Take a look at her Red and Black red carpet gown for the LA premiere of SPIDER MAN: FAR FROM HOME, hearkening back to her Spider Man love interest's superhero suit. Then look at her playful colorful red-carpet Pastel shorts set as Lola Bunny in the cartoon sports flick, SPACE JAM. Then her gorgeous, now-famous famous tan, wet-look gown that she wore for the Venice premiere of the first DUNE film - that was the color of DUNE'S sand and draped like mini sand dunes itself, etc. etc. etc.

Ive seen it 3 times already....and once on a free desktop website that showed a bootleg version that was actually flawless...I was shocked, What can I say?...the first Dune from Denis V was simply awesome. Part 2 is EPIC...it should go down as one of the 3 greatest sci-fi movies of all time. Its THAT good. I have no fucking idea how him and his crew, pulled off these HUGE set-pieces. But he did it. The man's a genius.
?! This film needs to make Money so that more like it can be made. Please don't undercut it by seeing (and spreading) that you saw it "for free!" For the love of God, man! This is a magnificent masterpiece and the people who made it should be handsomely financially rewarded!!

@@badger_ironsight Timothee' Chalamet was a straight "A" University student and he was justifiably impressed with the genius of Zendaya (and Law) for her wearing of red carpet ensembles that are reminiscent of her films. Zendaya was the first to consistently do that, starting with her beautiful black and red gown for the LA Premiere of SPIDER MAN: FAR FROM HOME years ago. Other DUNE actors have followed magnificent Zendaya's lead in dressing futuristically for this fantastic film's promotion. Their beautiful fashions have generated even more excitement for the truly great DUNE: PART 2. The producers (and designers worn) must be absolutely thrilled with Zendaya and her futuristic influencing of the other actors in the film. I do wish the robot/warrior suit were more modest, though. Perhaps a tiny silver gladiator skirt over a certain area. I realize she was wearing the original iconic Futuristic suit from the '95 Thierry Mugler show - but still.
@mathiae6682 Nothing "dumb" about Zendaya's Futuristic ensembles worn to promote a Futuristic Sci Fi film. That 's been so ingenious that other brilliant actors from the film have followed magnificent Zendaya's lead in dressing Futuristically on red carpets to promote the great DUNE: Part 2. I do wish this latest look were more modest, though. But she's wearing the original off the '95 Thierry Mugler runway. @@sieraclayton1503 I didn’t say it was „dumb“ I said I was impressed and I was surprised and it was the best promotion a long time. I’m big fan of metropolis, one of the first sci-fi movie in black and white. @badger_ironsight said it was dumb, and I agreed because if you don’t open your heart and limit yourself to be a troll then the world 🌎 is the dumbest place we have. 😉

Why is Zendaya wearing the Metropolis metallic costume?
It’s by fashion designer Thierry Mugler (dress from 1995, surely inspired by F.Lang’s «Metropolis»).
She’s a method dresser. She always tries to match her outfits to her work. She’s a style icon just for that.

@@fidesign5924 That’s not the only theme in Dune and you don’t have to copy the movie. Going back to her current outfit it looks like she (and her stylist) drew inspiration from the Sci-fi aspect of the genre; you know wearing a “robot suit” in a space conflict saga and all.
She also has multiple shows/stops to participate in for the press tour so they will have to get creative. If you look at her outfits for Dune part 1 you can see some look more tribal, some match the palette or aesthetic of the movie.
Maybe here it’s less obvious but you can look at some of her outfits she wore for Spider-Man’s. One had literal spiderwebs stitched, another was black and red, another had a “golden spine” referencing to Doc Octavio.
In london they were dressing as futuristic. It's the world premiere. That's why. Didn't you also see Aya dress the way she did. I don't understand why everyone always wanting to judge her. She is a nice person. She's also getting paid for wearing those clothes. So be nice. She just trying to make a living and live her life.

What is up is that Zendaya is promoting a Futuristic film while wearing a classic vintage futuristic outfit from the Mugler '95 runway. Just wish it were more modest. Zendaya is famous for wearing fashions that are reminiscent of films she is promoting. Starting with her wonderful red and black gown for the SPIDER MAN: FAR FROM HOME premiere in LA. years ago. Also take a look at the gorgeous tan gown reminiscent of sand she wore for the DUNE premiere in Venice a couple of years ago. And her colorful Lola Bunny outfit for the SPACE JAM red carpet. etc. Timothee' publicly acknowledged that Zendaya is the first to consistently, wonderfully literally make a nod to her films via fashion. Filmmakers wanting a great actress to also help promote their movies has a dedicated expert when they cast brilliantly multi-talented Zendaya.
