Good luck on the ‘57 convertible! Very cool. Lots of work in front of you, take it one step at a time. Keep us updated on the progress.

Thanks. Right now it kinda in the "collect parts" stage. If you see our other videos, its a few cars back. Gonna finish the 36 Plymouth 1st, the the 27 T, sneak in the fastback and get that polished off, then it will be it or the Vette, but who knows, lol.. Thanks for watching.

This was born as a Convertable. Has body tag and all tell tale signs of being real

I've made some bad decisions in my life so I can't judge too much but dang you mad a bad decision bro. The 55 was a piece of cake to two door convert that 57 is a total basket case.

The 57 convertible worth way way more, and later on when we reveal who owned it (alot of work getting done on it late February when both of us get back together), you will understand. Thanks for watching.

cool project - what does the cowl tag say about the original color and interior color? Looking forward to your progress

Looked it up once and it was not a very exciting color. Forgot name but I think it is a copper color with tan top.

@@CrossCountryGarage Sounds like you are describing 'Sierra Gold' I think it is one of those colors you either love or hate. Best wishes on the build

Where the heck does somebody find a 57 Chevy convertible at that doesn't cost 20 grand rusted out up to the door handles? For a 55 4 door, he gave that rag top away.

@@CrossCountryGarage I'm a 57 guy myself. I inherited a 57 bel air 2 door hardtop from my father in law last spring. Coolest thing ever. All rodded out 70's style but hadn't seen daylight since the early 80's. Looks like we both have cool projects to work on. Love you're rag top. Hope you get it back to mint.

Stay tuned for when we get to the part of who owned the car, that will also help explain why "He" wanted the 55. It will make sense.
