What if there is no kiosk in some other airports in canada ? Whats the alternative of kiosk ? Also, does the manual passport clearance instead of kiosk does not include passport scaning and clicking of my photo?
The alternative is custom and imnigration officers. They will put your passport number and profile into the computer and your life story will show up. It has always been like that. You can't fool those computers. When you scan your passport, the U.S. and Canadian governments have your life story.

in my experience, as long as your passport is valid in the duration of your stay, you should be fine. Last time I entered the US with my Canadian passport thats about to expire in 2 weeks. Things might have changed since then, so dont quote me.

If you are carrying in a fake Louis Vuitton bag as your carryon, it should be ok. However, if you are carrying in a luggage full of fake L.V. bags, then you would have something to worry about. You would be accused of trying to enter into Canada with counterfeit products for the purposes of selling for ill gains. But a fake item of any kind may not be a red flag to customs so much. It's possible they may just see it as an imitation item that a passenger is using for their flight purposes.

In US they will take your photo and fingerprint for fbi.
