I listen to this piece everyday for inspiration, at least once and have now watched and listened to this hundreds of times. It does not ever get boring, it is as exciting and magical equally, each and every time I hear it. Peter to me is without question, the best pianist I have ever heard, his arrangements are inspired, technically and artistically unmatched. Magical, perfect piece for a such a performance. Peter always throws in unique and unexpected parts in his arrangements, and this one is no exception. 0:54 running fingers 1:31 and 1:36 are actual magic tricks 1:55 goes right off the piano like a dream on pause 2:10 off-key, he’s joking around 2:16 his world record of repeatedly hitting one note The song is full of tension, but is always brilliantly released. That ending is especially something.

I’ve played snare for marching core drum lines around the world and have also played piano for fifteen or more years and this guy plays things on piano that would be complex on a marching snare, let alone a piano. This is what music is about.

My "like" is just one in the sea of likes for this guy, but sea consists of those small drops of water ;) The amount of drops show just how awesome this guy's skills are. Pure pleasure of listening and watching. Provide us more, good things never get boring ;)
This type of playing is a mixed bag. On the one hand, it's exciting, flashy and virtuosic. On the other, it explores one facet of what a piano can do while leaving out a wide range of expressive and legitimately emotive options, in terms of dynamics, tempo, harmony, melody and rhythm. It becomes "piano stylings" designed to impress, like a slick magic trick. Unfortunately this makes the performance more akin to a modern-day Liberace than to many highly recognized pianists in the jazz, classical, pop or world genres whose recordings and performances have stood the test of time.
