It's great when the shipyard owner has tremendous detailed knowledge of the vessel. It really gives you confidence in the vessel design and construction.
George is so proud about everything on board. He was smiling throughout the tour. When a company puts pride and top quality into any product, especially on the little details that mostly would be unnoticed, that means alot. George seems to care about those things just as much as the important details and equipment. Even his knowledge about everything on board was impressive.
20 yr Gulf of Mexico utility boat (100-160 ft) Licensed (ret) Captain here, we basically, unless we had one of the few really good unlicensed engineers, were both Captain and engineer. George is the most knowledgeable about his product boat builder I have ever seen. His safety features are over the top, everything is over-engineered and over-built. An AMAZING vessel.
I do agree that he is knowledgeable but can't say that he is the most. The owners of Bering and All Seas both are up there in the details they know about their respective line of boats and the engineering they put into them. Of course they are building mostly Explorer style boats so they need the redundancy and engineering because they may be days away from any help if something goes wrong.
@@nanoflower1 I agree with you. Alexi from Bering has such vast knowledge and builds a much finer boat. I know the owner selected the finish and materials but it isn't something I like and is really not very special
I may well be in the minority with regards to this opulent, over the top mini luxury vessel, But with just 1500 nautical mile range, she is little more than a "coastal cruiser"... Even where I live on the Med. cost we are very much aware that nature can produce some really sudden and nasty storms on occasions... I can imagine all that loose furniture hurtling about the boat in inclement weather and I would question whether essential "sea worthiness" has been sacrificed for the sake of opulence...? Not what I'd be looking for, I have to say..but then I don't want to spend a lot of money just to potter around the Med.. For those who do, Size still counts and an 87 footer just won't cut it, sad to say....
This was my favorite vid yet, Tristan... please do more like these when you can, that man knows his product inside out... and he told us about the technical stuff some of us like to hear about.... he not only told us about what each thing was for, but he told us why it was there. And they use top-of-the-range equipment. Keep the good vids coming!
Makes a change to see someone who is passionate about their yacht. Especially the engine. Most yacht tour people are more like interior designers. They are more interested in chairs and cupboards. To me the engine room is the best thing in any boat.
I can't believe that yacht has completed a full season. I saw a previous tour of the yacht and it wasn't until half-way through this tour that I realized this boat had already been delivered to her owner. Amazing.
I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to style, but this yacht impressed me on its use of space. For example, the master stateroom is comfortable in size but there are no large empty spaces that you will find on much larger yachts. This efficient use of space is evident throughout the yacht. The use of complementing materials and windows really creates a feeling of space.
I too am a traditionalist so I do not like the exterior design of this vessel but the interior is fabulous!! While below decks, it feels much larger than an 86’ ship. Great job.
This is why a full tour (not 10 minute videos) or builders point of view is great im not close to buying a yacht but I have learned more with this walk thru
tristan, What a huge step up from the original yard in Tampa that Dick Lazarra had in the '90s next to George Steinbrenner's ship repair and dry dock. It's unbelievable the detail and quality that goes into these yachts now.
What an absolute stunner. Setting a new paradigm for the yacht industry. I’d be happy to just live in the technical compartment. Thank you so much for bringing this to us Tristan.
Super Yachts are death traps! capsize expectable however sinking is not acceptable. Water tight bulk heads, there are virtually none as designers win over engineers is the super yacht death trap business.
Tristan, I trimmed a lot of lazara teakdecks when I worked for teakdecking systems in Sarasota. That was back in the '90s. This company has totally excelled to excellence in the last 30 years.
Always a fan of your channel. For the past couple of years it's nice to have a break from the relentless "Russian yacht siezing" on many other yacht channels. Just solid info, great yachts and the way you are professional at all times. We have a saying in the local pub, no politics, religeon or sport allowed . Thanks for keeping it real. Cool yacht and ceo, great walkthrough.
This is a beautiful example of what you can do when the designer/builder thinks out of the box. You should never ask why, you should ask why not. Of course, it comes at a cost, which was not discussed here. All this wonderful innovation is meaningless if unaffordable, though he did a great job explaining why it is definitely worth the money, if you can afford it. Thanks for sharing. This old sailor likes getting into the areas that so many doen't care about, i.e., crew spaces and engineering.

Great video captain. Very original, unlike some other channels showing the same boat over and over. I've seen this boat and this builder for the first time. It's a great boat and also a bit proud that it comes from my homeland as well, like some other well known ones 😉
George has good reason to be proud of his creation. I`ve owned 50+ footers for 30 years and done a lot of miles, many of them open ocean so I appreciate the engineering and features. Well done George and keep your emphasis on safety and convenience up.
Beautiful vessel.. Almost an hour long tour - fantastic job... I think you missed the guest cabins -and the Outside Aft on the Bridge deck level. I Checked them out on the web site - Really nice layout.
I'll admit as this video started I was skeptical. I thought "Why put all this redundancy in, unless you're using components that you expect to fail?" But by the end I gained an appreciation for the idea that this is a vessel built to get the job done and get you where you're going without extraordinary measures. It is not because the components are sub-par, it is due to an appreciation that "stuff happens" and it will still get you home. Explorer indeed.
There’s a reason why the definition of a yacht is a hole in the ocean that you pore money into. But yes, it’s very refreshing to see a company acknowledging that things on a boat break.
What a nice and beautiful boat. It is back up on back up an again, back up on the systems for what, for Safety. That bridge, clean no filler crap in the way just one chair an one small bench for few others to sit and those negative windows were totally amazing. The outside looking back at them from the bow reminded me of a pair of cool dark tint wrap around sun glasses. The bridge dash, only thing to up grade it would be once you sat in the chair if the dash would fold back into a V shape for the sides so everything would be at the Captain's fingertips from his command chair. The chair could go backward about 15 degrees to make it feel nicer on hips and the lower back than sitting straight up. Now that engine room was great, over 6 thousand nm and it was still clean, that says alot about the build quality they have in Turkey. I noticed in master bedroom no TV, you don't want a tv in there. I know alot of women don't want to compete with a tv in their bedroom to get their husbands attention, am I right. You know I'm right. But you do have TV's in lounge areas, right where they belong. Only if you could take all the good things from this boat an add it to Alexes boats from Bering also based in Turkey then I think I would definitely buy one. Steel hull means more to me then fiberglass and aluminum hulls. Overall I give this a 8/10. Bering yachts are 9/10. So it is close, just the hull on this didn't make it. Thank you to George and Tristan for showing this fabulous boat to us and it's amazing details that Lazaro boats put into it.
If you ask me it's borderline Victorian era. I think it makes the boat look cheap and tacky, but I did not pay for it or ever be on it. So as long as the owner is happy that's all that counts.
@@72hourbob61 Tacky is exactly the description. However, the design of the boat is very nice. Just a matter of re-doing the multi million dollar decor. Haha.
That was purely the owners choice (cannot say taste). George’s team would outfit the interior to an owner’s desire. More important are the structural and engine room elements which were very impressive. Because of this tour, we are not privileged to know about tenders, sea toys, platforms, etc. Can a jacuzzi be installed? All those items would be very important in determining the “fun” of the yacht.
The overall quality looks pretty high. But what I think was not ok was the fact that on an almost new boat parts of the paint from the aluminum vertical edge of the fore deck storage locker (next to the anchor winch) had came off and was sticking to the foam gasket on the hatch. this leaves exposed aluminum that probably will start corroding in the near future. edges like that should not be painted because it does fail easy. Maybe making it out of epoxy laminate or high level plastic that will last makes it a better construction.
All I can say is wow! All yachts should incorporate these innovative safety and redundant onboard systems. Expensive, yes but perhaps insurance and downtime costs would offset the added upfront expense.
This is the first time I've watched your channel and I'm glad to find something different - this has given me a new perspective on what's happening 'behind the scenes'. TBH I would have liked to see a little more of the user space i.e. the guest cabins, more of the outside social space and you kind of glossed over some guest areas that I would have liked to see in more detail. And I had to smile when the George the CEO repeated a few times that 'the decor is the 'owners specification'' (read into that what you will ;-) It's great to see what a captain and owner see as important in a boat, and I think this will change my view of some boats I've been looking at. The technical side and redundancy is amazing on this (and probably completely overlooked as I'm sure most people watching vids like this are more guests and owners (or we wish we were :-) )) Nice one!!
Wow! It's a tardis. How is that all in an 86 foot vessel? And as for the systems/redundancies, that's a boat that's been created by people who actually use them, amazing concept and really well thought out
This video was really interesting with the fuel intakes and sleeping with they treat their Waters interesting to see you looking forward to the next one Tristan
The technical aspect of this yacht is second to none. I think it is time for this yacht builder to start building true explorer yachts with steel or aluminum hall.
@@rickziggy1162 Actually each yacht comes with *two* other completely redundant yachts so that if one catches fire and sinks and one is hit by a ferry, you still have the third ready and operational with which to continue the charter!
Wealthy people shuffle their boats between the Med & Caribbean every year. Everything is preplanned. The uber wealthy have multiples they keep in each area + the South Pacific or Hawaii like Zuckerberg or Allen.
That's a stunning level of practical engineering - and in a relatively small vessel. Yes, there is a cost, but damn it's so cool. The ship's engineer must be happy. I also think the owner, who spec's this boat out, was very knowledgeable in writing that URS.
Amazing boat. I feel like we didn't get to see a majority of the boat. After the master stateroom most of the video was spent with features in the engine room. Would like to see other parts of the boat as well as all the redundant systems
I agree, I wanted to focus on the engineering of the boat as it’s so unique and a level above the rest. Like in all yacht tours, cabins are cabins and as these yachts are custom, cabin layouts can be varied to the clients request. Otherwise the video would be over 1.5hrs
I love the redundant independent power systems and even duplicate mundane sensors - a component that is likely to fail or go wonky. Would love to hear @esysman react to the engine room!
Love the engine room, I get the feeling that some of this boat is over engineered. If you don't want to mix dirty oil then don't fill with the Reverso. Growth in water chest happens all the time so leave UV light on or use Cathelco electronic system. The interior decoration reminds me of the 70s MFI. That passarelle isn't super yacht quality. The guy certainly has a passion for his product though so fair play to him.
This was outstanding. I have a feeling that the owner of the yacht is not married. There was not enough closet space in the master! 😆 What a wonderful design and safety throughout is so very important. Thank you for all this information.
Wow, the level of detail in designing this boat and all the custom additions is absolutely incredible! It must be an absolute dream to crew, own, or charter this engineering masterpiece. And I have to say, Captain, the dual commentary from you and the shipyard owner was really enjoyable to follow. It really immersed me in the whole experience. Although, I do wish the camera guy had explored more of the tight fitting areas by moving the camera around. But hey, I'll take what I can get! 😄
It is great to see a CEO of a manufacturing company that knows his product in detail and with such enthusiasm. Great shame that your video was spoiled by such poor sound quality. Such a detailed tour of a new engine room should be done with systems shut down or if not possible with voice over, as so much of the engine room tour was almost inaudible which did not do justice to his detailed explanations and the amount of high quality work done by the shipyard workers.
Good to see you again. Lost track of you when you left being captain AWOL. This ship is impressive. Check out a Bering when you get a chance. I’ve now subscribed so I don’t lose you again.
An absolutely stunning yacht for that size. The engine room and systems impressed me the most, besides the interior. Classy, timeless and well laid out. If I could afford it I really prefer on buying this yacht instead of a larger vessel that costs the same. Very impressed! On a side note: Tristan, you should call Nick(Aquaholic) about how Miele is pronounced... 😄😉
George!!! loved his knowledge and energy...Did you have any idea how much detail you would get from him??? I love the whole boat, The 2 is 1 and 1 is none theory works for me..
OMG! It looks huge! So light and open simply beautiful decor and soft colors choices. It’s like a condo that floats! The pride of workmanship is just astounding! The boast looks new. And redundancies are simply wonderful. Makes you feel safe! Did I miss what he said the range was? Just never seen anything like it.
Totally blown away....stunning engineering and design! Tristan - if you ever decide to take the helm again as a yacht captain, it better be on a yacht from these guys!
If I had the option for a free week on this yacht or AWOL, AWOL would win easy. I didn't feel anything for this yacht to be honest. You and the crew made AWOL what it was, but, it was a good size and I loved the interior and deco.
Wow Christine 👌 what a yacht, you are spot on the quality is impressive... I would like a more industrial design of the interior. More driven by an explore yacht feel. My big take away is they need to offer more range 3000 miles + the ship needs Ocean crossing ability. With the nav equipment to match. Side note it looks like he would love to have you on his payroll. I would as well if I had such a company. If he put a 37 meter with 5000 mile range and gave you the ability to circle the globe promoting the product with a global adventure platform for both you and wife with crew and quest selling the brand.... Take it for a five year hitch... Very similar to the Fliming yachts series world wide. Just one man's opinion... The Banks Family 👪
Any company that aims to grow and be stable, needs to learn from this company, an example of scenario planning and putting requirements in place to overcome possible challenges.
Certainly well packed in features to make crews life running this yacht easier, beautiful to look at. What I want to know is how fire retardant is it. When yachts go up in smoke they burn fast.?
It's a hell of a boat. But I only saw a master suite and it was mention that you can have 8 guests. The guests quarters were never shown. Also what is the price of this boat?
Would someone explain to me why wealthy people tend to favor mirror-level shiny surfaces and over the top brightwork? I'm able to see around the personal taste of an owner to understand this is a very unique yacht but I'm always amazed at what's considered high end in that world.
Because we like to show it off, you know flaunt what we have. What fun would it be to have lots of $’s,yet keeping all the fun toys on the lowdown. We like it fast, shiny, bright and bad ass looking. One of a kind stuff is also in big demand. Hope this helps.
@@martylucas8557 Some people feel the need to show off what they have and it makes them feel good getting all sorts of reactions from it, others prefer to be more modest, I suppose. I'm not against having toys but if it were me I'd probably spend my money on things that complimented their surroundings rather than contrast them. This is much more the school of the Japanese aesthetic. I guess I also don't see the need to have a home the size of a hotel or ships the size of mansions. I can appreciate them but it just seems like a huge liability with an incredible amount of fixed costs attached. I'd rather (and in fact do) live in something modest but of high quality and something that's very well designed. I suppose that's just me.
This was a great video. I am glad to have watched this video after viewing the documentary about the Lazzara yacht building facility. It was nice to see how these yachts are manufactured, then after to see a finished product.
I love how he says "you do not want to miss this"! One of the very few you-tube people who is totally correct to say that. He could tell me I do not want to miss what it feels like to jump off a high rise building with out a parachute and I would do it no questions asked (ok would not actually do it, but you get the point. i like my feet where they are and not up in my ears)
My 'favorite room' is definitely the engine room, where you could almost perform an operation. Turkish shipyards used to have a rather poor reputation; that seems to have changed here.
One of the most passionate Business owners/CEOs ever. Given more time I bet he would have gone into detail about the specific nuts and bolts and the milling of those down to the threads on them. Nuts and bolts for nuts and bolts redundancy, the only thing left off the redundancy list is a second identical yacht built for free. I have not heard a Business owner/CEO talk so passionately for a very long time. , One that likes to get down on 'shop floor' and see everything, to get to know everything. Just been on the website and looking at the Lazzara LPC85 Cat. So far, apart from being Sail, the cat I would have as a live aboard with 2 offices rather than the amount of cabins, just a shame it's not an SV. He should go for a Doctorate on Yacht building, principals, new methodologies, best practices etc. or just even how to be the best you can when you own a business or are the CEO etc. I don't even have the money but he sold me one already.
I went to Westfalia to look at centrifuges for an industrial process, and was told the disc stack type were used to clean fuel on marine vessels. They said every ship had one to clean the fuel as an insurance requirement. My point....there seemed only one sitting central against the forward bulkhead? and you didnt point it out lol. George could show Pharma engineers a new standard!
???? We did Tim, the fuel polishing machine on this yacht is built by Alfa Laval, it’s clearly spoken about in the video. I don’t understand your comment.
That is just incredible, how they have achieved that space with 26.5m is just amazing, I remember 28s & 30m I have Skipperd in the past, old SanLorenzo's and similar, they just didn't come close to this space, the quality as well you can see is as he said Mega yacht standard, Beautiful vessel. The yards in Turkey are really giving the Italians a run for their money these days, what a great vessel to work on also for the crew.
It's great when the shipyard owner has tremendous detailed knowledge of the vessel. It really gives you confidence in the vessel design and construction.
100% agree

And maybe I shouldn't say.. but I really like the interior look!
WOW, they have done a great job.
Might give Bering some 💨 SMOKE WITH THE ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY AND SAFTY SYSTEMS💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽BIG UPs from Dallas, Texas 🤘🏽🤙🏽
Very good looking boat and great video! And thanks to owner and the company that can show this.
I like this forward raking windscreens on the bridge it reduces glare and it's resistance being smashed up by a rogue wave
As with Bering, Lazzara has found that systems redundancy is the new appeal and special feature.
reminds me of a shipping container with windows, having said that, the inside is beyond spectacular
Savage lol
I’m just glad George is a technical guy, not an interior designer, give his choice of shirt.
The technical aspect of this yacht is second to none. I think it is time for this yacht builder to start building true explorer yachts with steel or aluminum hall.
When are you going to show the second yacht they made for redundancy in case this one isn't where the owner wants it?
R u seriously rude?
@@rickziggy1162 Actually each yacht comes with *two* other completely redundant yachts so that if one catches fire and sinks and one is hit by a ferry, you still have the third ready and operational with which to continue the charter!
Mark Zuckerberg has 3 mega yachts for just that scenario 😉
So wise , Thank You . Such a fine well thought out True Yacht . Thank You Tristan , I do miss you on Awol , I do enjoy you're new path
Nice boat! Pilot house is very nice! Thanks for sharing, 👍👍
Very nice yacht and I loved that, in my mind, the CEO sounded like Christopher Walken!
😂
Wow just wow this boat is amazing for its size. Another level of yacht.😍
This was outstanding. I have a feeling that the owner of the yacht is not married. There was not enough closet space in the master! 😆 What a wonderful design and safety throughout is so very important. Thank you for all this information.
hahahahahahha
Impressive is inadequate when describing this boat. Wow! Thank you for sharing.
Great video and awesome build. Thanks for the tour.
Sound quality was fine must be yours
Good to see you again. Lost track of you when you left being captain AWOL. This ship is impressive. Check out a Bering when you get a chance. I’ve now subscribed so I don’t lose you again.
Funny you should say that, I was discussing video ideas with the boss of bearing the other day.
How could we have lived without this amount of gold trim Mr. T ?
An absolutely stunning yacht for that size. The engine room and systems impressed me the most, besides the interior. Classy, timeless and well laid out. If I could afford it I really prefer on buying this yacht instead of a larger vessel that costs the same. Very impressed!
On a side note: Tristan, you should call Nick(Aquaholic) about how Miele is pronounced... 😄😉
😂
Amazing boat. Builder did a great job taking so much time explaining his creation. Really enjoyed the video.
George!!! loved his knowledge and energy...Did you have any idea how much detail you would get from him??? I love the whole boat, The 2 is 1 and 1 is none theory works for me..
Great yacht, if you enjoyed the video, then you’ll love this, we toured the shipyard with George:
th-cam.com/video/Go4UiUVzXvw/w-d-xo.html
Yep..no lie with its size and all the state of the art goodies and safety features...its very impressive.
You said it right. A floating condo.
Totally blown away....stunning engineering and design! Tristan - if you ever decide to take the helm again as a yacht captain, it better be on a yacht from these guys!
It is so cool to see a small ship built so well! Very very cool thank you for another wonderful video
Fantastic brother! Great video, keep up the good work
If I had the option for a free week on this yacht or AWOL, AWOL would win easy.
Christine?
I sailed across the Pacific in a yacht with infinite range, because it was a SAILBOAT!
Great question,
We’ll find out in a future video.
Working on the offshore oil and gas industry, having redundancy backup across all systems is a given, good to see this is in place
Why call it a yacht tour and not show the guest quarters!?very innovative yacht . another great video .
Pretty dang incredible
Beautiful yaught
It's a hell of a boat. But I only saw a master suite and it was mention that you can have 8 guests. The guests quarters were never shown. Also what is the price of this boat?
Would someone explain to me why wealthy people tend to favor mirror-level shiny surfaces and over the top brightwork? I'm able to see around the personal taste of an owner to understand this is a very unique yacht but I'm always amazed at what's considered high end in that world.
I got this.
Just like small animals, the rich are attracted to shiny things like Scrat (iceage) is to nuts.
🌛
Work harder 🌚
It’s the max option in gta
Nouveau riche....
Wow. That's an impressive yacht!
It does remind me quite a lot of the Princess X95 design wise.
The look does look similar but the rest is very different.
Clever design. Great boat
Fantastic boat!
Wow… skipper on a 70’ owners yacht… this is nasa level technology… respect from the bilges
It looks like one of those modern cruise ships. Magnificent on the inside where you can hide to avoid seeing the exterior.🤔
Nicely built Vessel.
Amazing build! Love it :)
I have not heard a Business owner/CEO talk so passionately for a very long time.
,
One that likes to get down on 'shop floor' and see everything, to get to know everything.
You want a reliable backup? Put a mast on it.
This boat is amazing. Truly next level.
Very sharp and very smart. Well done.
An awesome Boat, whats the gold trim ma=de from and how hard would it be to keep clean :)
It's wonderful that so much attention is paid to redundancies it gives you that extra piece of mind when you're out in the middle of nowhere.
Intelligent Conceptions! Love the idea of prevention that drives the yacht through out !!!
A beautiful boat. I wonder how it would look like when an Italian designer would have designed the interior .
It would look exactly the same as it was designed to the owners requests.
