I appreciate these compilations I'm sick of seeing the "dunks but they get increasingly more insane" but then it's just 2 vintage highlights, and then nothing but dunks from the past 2 weeks. I love seeing the deep cut vintage footage. Keep it up! 👍
THANK YOU. Those compilations piss me off because they are the same highlights we see from the NBA TH-cam channel from the most recent seasons that are already shoved down our throats.
I'm an old head, I remember that first clip. If you watched basketball back then, Kmart and those JKidd teams were on Sportscenter top 10s on a nightly basis, so you also saw all those "catch" blocks. Kmart was good for empathic plays. He dunked HARD and swatted just as hard.
@LeetheOG89b facts he got no love because he was all defense but as a sf he clears any defensive sf maybe scottie and Bron can make the only arguments for sf defenders
Oh not probably, he is! As you said, he's the only SF ever to average 3 BPG in a season, and did it twice! The only other player 6'9 or shorter to do this was Ben Wallace, but he was a center as we know. Josh Smith came pretty close a few times, btw! AK47 was also very good at steals, and defense in general. He had a super rare combo of length (6'9 but 7'4 wingspan), athleticism (37 inch vert, great speed as well), Instinct/positioning/anticipation (He knew when to leave his man to help, pretty good with avoiding fakes, when/where to jump and so on), and sheer hustle (self explanatory). He was also a pretty good rebounder and passer, and a solid shooter. Also has the 2nd most 5x5s in NBA history with 3, after Hakeem the dream of course, who had 6! (He's my fav center btw). I tend to like all around players who are defensive minded, so when I started getting into basketball around high school in the early 2000s, AK47 quickly became my fav player as he was unique in general but also broke the stereotype of Euro players being shooters who were average or below average athletically and on defense. He was pretty much the opposite, not a great shooter (but a decent one who got better a few years in), but a monster athletically and on defense. I'm glad you gave him props, a lot of people don't know how awesome he was!
@@Doof555 Tay was good, but he never averaged 2 BPG, let alone 3 BPG as a SF! AK47 was an another level :) I just checked his stats, and was surprised to see that he never even averaged 1 BPG! His highest was 0.9, in 04-05, and the most SPG he ever had was 0.8 in 03-04 and 05-06. By contrast, AK47's top 3 BPG seasons were 3.3 in 04-05, 3.2 in 05-06, and 2.8 in 03-04. His top 3 SPG seasons were 1.9 in 03-04, 1.6 in 04-05, and 1.5 a few times. Even if you look at advanced stats like Defensive Box plus minus, it's not even close either. So yeah, no shade on Tay, he was one of my fav players as well at the time- but as I said before- AK was on another level!

Kenyon was an absolute beast from college. Dude played HARD!! Pretty rare to see nowadays. Players today have zero intensity. Finesse and athleticism is all they have. Can’t teach heart and hustle.
Great mix, blocks are my favorite NBA play, watching and also in real life :) Glad to see Andrei "AK47" Kirilenko in here! He's the only SF ever to average 3 BPG in a season, and did it twice! Thx for watching Tibor, glad you enjoyed!!! 😁

On me getting these from the vault lol
True story
Martin was allways up there even in college dude played d for real
Leonard at the end got me good off guard 😭🤣🤣🤣
The throwback Nets clips are fire. Watching that team run wild after Vince joined was a treat.
All my older heads know Kenyon Martin used to swat every thing. Lol if you’re wondering where Kenyon Martin jr. Got his bounce from… lol
K-Mart 🔥🔥
Grant Hill cursing!?😂 “ gimme that SHIT!” 5:14

That was the original Lob City. Carter, Jefferson, and KMart running the floor and Kidd passing. That team was fun to watch.
Ak47 is probably the best shot blocking small forward of all time we've never seen a sf average 3 blocks a game ever again after he did it
Very underrated all around player

Good ol days where you can celebrate and show emotion without the tech
It's actually nice to see stuff from the early/late 2000s. Most of these channels only show stuff from the past 5-10 years.
Love it. First 2 minutes is a Kenyon Martin highlight reel.
Grant Hill’s block had me lit!
Gimme dat shit
3:08 that is actually the loudest block i have ever heard sounds like batum served in a volleyball match or sth LOL
The nets was goin crazy😂
kidd gets a lot of credit for the success of that nets team, however they were known for their d and kmart was the anchor of that d.
bro making these videos idk what vhs u got this from but keep going in Khaled voice
Those give-it-to-me blocks from KMart, amazing
Im like 3 minutes in, thinking “Are these all Nets clips??”
Those Nico blocks are awesome!
Kenyon martins blocks are crazy
Wouldn't be highlights without Nick Batum, must be a cousin.🤔
That help defense 🔥🔥
Yeah we don't see that anymore
Hope Kenyon Jr. would learn some tricks from his dad on D. Would definitely help the Rockets now...
9:48 💀💀💀
The kawhi thing got me hah
After tim Duncan blocks you:
😐
Dammit I spit out my drink at that Kawhi Leonard cut
Man... These are gold. Keep uploading oldschool basketball man 🔥

K Mart and Big Ben were monsters
Those kmart blocks were ridiculous. It's so difficult to time those and catch them like that, theres a reason you rarely see blocks like that.
Congrats RJ! Batum, I didn't know you had those hops. Aminu is looking good.
9:31 “I got ya son” 😂
You were one of the best bball channel on youtube. Keep it up
I nearly pissed my pants from the unexpected Kawhi laugh
Kenyon Martin was out there blocking shots like this was NBA Streets Vol 2 or sumthin 🤷🏿♂️

Kenyon Martin is the founder of snatch blocks😂😂😂
wow I've never actually seen theses blocks before...
K-Mart highlight real
I really admire KM competition spirit
No surprise VC joined that Nets team. Kidd, Martin, Rich J, Van Horn... That team was packed. Too bad they couldn't win any rings 😵💫
I love how the first 5 are from the NJ Nets and 4 of them and Kenyon Martin😂
I really never did see any of these before
That LeBron block was nasty if it counted.
A healthy Dwight Howard was so athletic 🤧
Todays players would fall on the floor and look at the ref.
Kenyon Martin great blocker idol❤

Kmart got the hops
all the nba "gimme that shit" moments you forgot happened.
1:03 this was actually in the NBA 2k3 intro... Remember like yesterday.
I guess I just watched a ton of NBA games back then because I have seen more than half of these defensive plays
This man was doing snatch blocks before they was called snatch blocks
This is called access denied like right now and I mean like right damn now
This NJ nets back then at one point have been to the finals...they were just too small for Shaq's Lakers..
A past art in NBA history

this vid males me realize how much KJ looks lile Kenyon
‘4th quarter screaming why tf Batum in’

That was a goal tend, the first block. If you look at the ball, it had stopped going up. He waited till it was barely starting to fall.
