Glad to see Rhythm Heaven is a big part of the Kyepha Cinematic Universe, very nice 👌 Genuinely, didn't actually know there was a rhythm heaven game before the Wii though, that's really cool.
50:51 The DS version actually was released in Korea as the first localized game in 2009. There was also very popular Korean fan translation of the GBA game
ok seriously why does this only have like 6k views. i dont know how this got recommended to me but im glad it did. you deserve way more recognition!!! rahh!!!!!!!
This video is so well done. It is a CRIME that more people haven’t seen. I’ve always wanted to get one of these games, but never had the chance. (especially Megamix, to the point where I had a dream that I thought my 3DS eshop glitched and allowed me to get the game. I even tried contacting Nintendo support and see if they could help me. Sadly, the idea of getting that game is left in the past it seems like…) This video was very detailed and even showed off some mini games I didn’t even know that existed! Serious, you out done yourself here. GOOD STUFF!!
( 41:52 ) the "here we go" in the dog ninja section is supposed to signify that the remix has switched out of a swing rhythm. this is because frog hop in remix 5 uses a swing rhythm
this popped up on my recommended and i'm very happy it did! this is extremely underrated and is a phenomenal dive into a series i adore so much. keep up the hard work!
This is such an awesome video. Seriously, probably even one of the only long videos I watched through because I wanted to. Especially love how you explained some of the minigames and actually described everything a rhythm heaven fan is supposed to know, instead of just gathering some surface info and dumping it in a video. However, I'd say there could have been some additions or changes here. For example, the "prologue" minigames in Megamix are called the "prequel" minigames in the community, or that there are some changes in some sequels (such as the blackout in Fillbots 2 and offbeats with the "Hit 4!" cues in Karate Man 2 Wii) that you should have mentioned. And also, it would be better if you showcased bits of the minigames where you can see the controls and hear a good part of the song. But, these are just me being picky, overall I love this video. This is unrelated, but I also like the artstyle in the parts with your art, which gives some individuality to the video. All in all, I give it a solid 9/10, despite not being a reviewer. Keep up the good stuff!
Thank you so much!! I’m a forever fan of Rhythm Heaven and this is exactly the kind of video I wanted to put out and give to other fans of the franchise so I’m super happy that it has done that 😭😭
Awesome video! It didn't felt like 1 hour and 40 minutes at all! Oh, and also, did you know that there is a demo of a rhythm game inspired by Rhythm Heaven? It's called Bits & Bops by Tempo Lab Games... We didn't get a new Rhythm Heaven game, but this works just fine!
Kind of weird that First Contact is the only game in the first part that isn't either just a single game or a prologue. I mean, it does make sense because it's actually like Second Contact music wise, and is different enough in the aesthetics unlike the others where the music is completely different, yet the graphics are very similar.
I was upset he didn't talk more about the ghost arrow game in rhythm tengoku, that's the best minigame in the whole series imo. The way you have to press on the upbeat is genius. It's only a single press, but you have to take into account the beat more than any other minigame.
Exceltent video. Just a question: whats your personal favorite remix on each game? For me Tengoku: remix 5 DS: remix 9 Fever vocal remix: remix 9 Fever non-vocal remix: remix 4 or 1 Megamix: never played actually
Thank you! Also i love this question, I would say my favourites are: Tengoku: Remix 5 DS: Remix 7 Fever Vocal: Remix 3 Fever NonV: Remix 4 Megamix: Right-Hand Remix
I haven’t finished the video yet but I just wanted to say thank you so much for mentioning the left handed mode in DS. I’ve wanted to play it but I didn’t think I’d be able to.
@@dakaramotto. this minigame is so hard for who doesn't have rhythm, the 6 previous games was very nice with visual cues, but set 2 just has monkey watch and tambourine which doesn't have a single visual cue I literally could not finish the second minigame in multiplayer with my brother in multiplayer because my brother doesn't have rhythm and there is not even a barista to skip, yeah this minigame is hard Rhythm heaven is easy for players who has rhythm, but most players don't, i remember there is a lot of players saying that monkey watch is easy, not hard, but its easy for people who has rhythm
"I have made a video of 1 hour 40 minutes long, but I do not know how to pronounce these words. Sorry if I get them wrong". Come on, my dude. You can research how to pronounce words and practice them until you get it right. It's just one word or two max in all of the video. Why do video creators always do this?
@@iara0 TH-camrs always say that because they are likely to mispronounce words from completely different languages. I have a hard time believing YOU can perfectly pronounce all sorts of foreign words with no issues ever.
Beat the beat and let the beat be beaten
hell yeah! I'm adding this to my collection of feature length rhythm heaven videos I can rewatch over and over and over without getting tired
and oh my god, I am so sorry but I can't help mishearing ""Jumpin' Jazz" as"Jumpin' Jizz"💀
LOL
30:08 okay those guys were all over the Flipnote App on the DSi and I never knew where they were from but now after seeing this I finally understand!!
oh that’s really cool i didn’t know that!!
I love how when i played megamix, the third minigame the game asked me to perfect was left hand remix
TWO HOURS OF CONTENT? What is this, Christmas?
It’s just like 2022 for Kirby fans.

My tip for perfect campaigns: just partially zone out while playing
1:02:15 mistake i caught here! the threefish actually waits for 3 and a half beats ^_^
ok

Cheer readers 2 has to be my favorite game from the entire franchise
The main issue I have with Moai Doo-wop isn't the inputs, but the fact that the cues are really hard because they are primarily audio.
RAHHHHH I LOVE RHYTHM HEAVEN AND LOVE THIS VIDEO YOU ARE VERY UNDERRATTED 10/10 GREAT JOB RAHHHHHHH!
THANK U
This video is Superb!
Thanks for using my font! Great Retrospective video. 👍
(I'll probably update the font sometimes)
Thank you for making it!! Super glad you enjoyed the retrospective :D
OOOHHHHHH RHYTHM HEAVEN MENTIONED NO WAYYYY
1:15:23 I get that it’s based on Japanese culture, but it’s a bonus feature, so what the heck?
A great video, Kyepha! You could say that it was P(erfect)
Thank you Menko 😁
Awww you didn’t mention the concert drumming mode in rhythm Tengoku. That mode was always a crazy cool thing that I thought they added.

yo thank you! glad you like it 😁

You forgot to mention the fact that in LumBEARjack the LumberCats are SUPER gay for LumBEARjack
i mean who isn’t

yep
I haven’t finished the video yet but I just wanted to say thank you so much for mentioning the left handed mode in DS. I’ve wanted to play it but I didn’t think I’d be able to.
omg no problem! super awesome they made it accessible for left-handed players!
1:23:53 the P is replaced with a mii?
That's the challenge train, not the perfect campaign
lol i always thought clappy trio were monkeys
yooo same here
This video was good!
💕💕
Do the DS games in Megamix still use the stylus?
No, they were reworked with button controls, but I think there's a stylus setting that you can switch to (haven't tried it, though)
There is an option to use a stylus but it stinks. No flicking or sliding, only tapping.
could the 4th clappy trio member in remix 1 and 7 be the glee club conductor

Go for a perfect!
Underrated
It's a long video but I guess i'll watch I suppose.

no rhythm heaven this time 😔
I mean they always release at the very end of a console's life cycle so we still very well could get one for the switch. It's not too late.

There are NOT things called emulators, and they definitely do NOT let you play these rare games for free.

The number of syllables matches the number of beats in the Japanese version
