Heey, soo im a UL student, and im doing Bsc in Biochemistry and Physiology... I also want to get into medicine but life happenin matric.. Soo i wanted to ask a question.. You mentioned that after you got into medicine you were credited some modules.. Which modules were you credited ( if you remember) and which year did you start doing medicine... Thank you for the video by the way, very inspirational 💯👌🏽ive been getting an average of 70-75% all along, i guess i must move to 80%😅😅
I was credited : Biology, physics and chemistry
I started with first year but second semester, because you only do biology, physics and chemistry in the first half of the year.

Does the University of Limpopo's medical school accept students from Swaziland (Eswatini) who want to enroll for the MBCHB.Secondly, does age affect ones chances of entering the degree.

I'm not really sure if UL does take students from Swaziland, for you to get more info, i would advice you to call the school or send and email to them.
Am certainly NO age doesn't affect your chances of getting into medschool🙂

inspired i applied at UL till now they said no space im alredy at ukzn doing second year in optom if i apply this year what must i make sure that i have to be accepted
I would advise you to first finish your degree before you apply at UL because they usually consider students that already have finished. But UP usually consider students that are still in the middle of their degrees
How about if you're already registered at ul and currently doing your second choice (accounting) can I change at the end of the year to medicine
Unfortunetely if you are already a student at UL, is going to be very difficult to change to medicine, especially with Accounting. They ususlly look for modules like Physics,Biology and chemistry.
But you still have a chance to apply to other universities for medicine.

The applications for the year 2022 are not yet open at UL. Visit www.ul.ac.za regularly to check if they are open, they post the notice there. And there is no dentristry at UL.
NB// UL and SMU are separate.
Hey....What are the requirements to get into medicine if you have the Bsc degree at UL ....what do they look at ! Final year marks or ???
At UL the last time i checked they were looking at your Average from first year, but things change with time so to confirm that you can call the School and ask.
But if your final year marks are good that is still an advantage 😊

Even for medicine as well as BSc because those are the two courses I applied for at UL ,,and when I check all the universities require NBT for medicine except for Stellenbosch it requires SJT for this year ,,so I'm nervous of wether they'll accept me at UL if I excell in my studies even though I failed NBT
They will consider you, they dont use NBT, you are just required to write it but they wont use it, if your marks are good, then you have nothing to worry about

I also applied at the university of Limpopo for next year but I see on the website where it says certificates seen none of the documents I uploaded were ever looked at. I also applied last year and it is the same thing. Is it normal for them not to process my documents?

Not that much but your matric results should meet the minimum requirements for entering into medicine.

Hey, i don't know about that, but if you manage to get more than 60% in Maths and Physics. I don't see a reason why you wont get a chance

If you are doing your final year in human physiology then yes apply, UL only takes students that have already completed their degree.
It is only UP that takes students that are still in the middle of their degrees

Have no funding, but usually get once off bursaries for good Averages each year

Not merit, but a bursary.
Merit pays for tuition fees only.
But also merit bursaries are also Available

No you can't.
So it’s a must to finish the degree you registered for??
Yes is a must if you want to change into medicine. I don't know about other health Science Degrees.

You are never too old to follow your dreams.
I go to class with people in their late 20's and 30's. So get that form, apply and chase that dream😇.

It could be another health science course or a totally different course
What are the bursaries you can apply for?
To be honest Medicine doesn't have as much bursaries as other courses like Bsc and Engeneering.
But i'll compile a list and post it here back.
