From watching Coghill when they first got their emu, it seems that a lot of human interaction in their first few months was key to their emu being very friendly with people. They actually kept it in the daughters room with her for a while & let it roam the house. Have a great day 😊.
Seeing all that green pasture is truly a Blessing. Love those baby emus! Can't wait to see them grow and add to your ranch. May God continually shower his generosity to you and your family!
I follow Cogs Hill farm and they have an Emu named Nugget. He loves being scratched and petted and he will just lay down and let them love on him for a long time. He also loves the kiddy pool full of water to lay down in and play in. I don't remember how old Nugget is but he is so much fun to watch as he is a pet and raised by them since a baby. Nugget loves to race around the acre that he is in. I hope you enjoy your new pets.
WOW! Pasture looks so good so far. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the moisture keeps coming your way. The reservoirs looked pretty nice too. I think Emu's will be a good addition to the ranch. Alternative egg and meat source as a future possibility into your diversification of ranching. 💘 🐂 🐄 🐐 🐖 🐔 🇺🇸
Yes they certainly will be I hope they have good luck of leaving the right sex to the right name that would be funny but like Aaron said wait till we start one starts laying but they have to be out there when they do lay so
I know that gets expensive when you have to buy extra camera equipment to make sure that mothers and babies are fine anyway yeah I know a woman in Canada that does it with her sheep but they're always indoors and they're always locked up and in the building he has I think she has three cameras up she can watch from inside the house so when a sheep start having babies she knows she has to be out there at the barn to take care of her feet they're not out in the open like Mike and Aaron yeah they're cows are and cows are different cheap but they still have them the same way but anyway I think you know what I'm talking about I'm from Nebraska York Nebraska actually and I missed the farm I miss farm Life ranch life be not in the country open air doing crazy stuff yeah I just I miss it
Mike you weren't suppose to let the cat out of the Garage. I am so happy to see you being blessed by Mother Nature. It's going to be a great year for Our Wyoming Life.
Forgot to say that the Emu is a native Australian bird. It appears on the Australian coat of arms with the kangaroo. Neither the emu or kangaroo can walk backwards.
Raised emus when I was in high school….cool facts- they look and taste like beef but have less cholesterol than chicken! Not that you’re wanting to eat these but if there’s ever a need, I’m just saying😂 great video and have fun raising them!! Dumbest critters on earth but fun! Even Steve Irwin said that🤣😂
The grass looks great. Hope you continue to get more rain. More fun animals on the ranch. You really do have a petting zoo. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Glad to see all the new stuff and especially the hay fields. I remember the last time you were able to hay and got devastated by the hail, as well as losing your drone What a giant turd drop of a day that was! ALSO, Mike, at about the 19:00 minute mark, I thought you were going back into broadcasting! "It's just past 7 o'clock on the morning," yadda, yadda, yadda. That smooth voice comes only with years of practice. Yes, I know that was you in a previous life, hence why I brought it up. So smooth 😉. Another jerky order coming, 👍.
Hey Mike, so glad you are getting moisture, rain or snow. I hope your conversation with mr. Sonne was productive. Watched the 200 k live stream and he mentioned it. Be safe, and God bless you and yours.
Hello and what a fun video!! Loved the road trip and surprise for Erin! Congrats to Grace on the extra school opportunity! Wow can't wait to see the new chiks arrive and Emu eggs!?!?! Man what a beef jerky omelette!

Mike, get ahold of Jason from YT Cog Hill Farm. They had their Emu sexed. Loved how the hay is looking. . Hope it's a good year. Congratulations on all the new animals.
Cute baby dinosaurs! I think Erin moved on from chicken math to chicken calculus. Is it weird that I really want to see the turtles? Hooray for the hula hoop toss coming back!
Driving from Casper after the Rally in Casper we was amazed how beautiful & green the landscape was the entire way home to Gillette! As I said before, we drove past y'all's place & into town... It was such a long but beautiful drive home! We had no clue until we got home just how much rain we got! I had a package sitting on the doorstep under the porch and it was soaking wet on the outside. Good thing the insides was not! Cute Emus! I had 2 Emu feathers from Australia that a friend got me in the 90's... Somehow they got either put way in a box or lost over time... I hear their eggs are great!
I was in the only multinational aviation company while in Viet Nam. 135 AHC Motto was the EMUS. & get the bloody job done. The Australians were a great group of guys. Never made sense naming an assault helicopter company after a flightless animal. Heard they Emus can reach 6' in height & taste more like beef then anything else. Great that you finally received some much needed rain. Hopefully you will finally be able to produce some quality hay after the two year drought.
2 emus? That is so cool! They will be a wonderful addition to the ranch! I can't wait to see what Bean, Marti and Frida do when they meet the emus! It looks like 2022 will be a good year for cutting and baling hay at the Ranch! Praying 🙏for more timely rains for all who need the moisture!! Until the next video~~~ Stay safe, healthy and happy! 🐃
It sure is exciting to see all the water. You mentioned Matt bought the yard stick when he was there . Is he not there anymore? Did I miss a video when he left. I like Matt nice man. Oh wow baby Emu's can't wait to see them grow up on the farm. Congratulations. They are so cute. Farm is looking good. God bless ❤ you all.
If you have any questions about emus, you could try contacting Jason and Brooke from Cog Hill Family Farm. They hand raised their emu, Nugget and he is 2 years old now. Also if you want to find out the sex of the emus and not wait till their feathers grow in, you may be able to do like Lester at Ima Survivor Santuary did with his baby ostrichs with a pin prick blood test. They need just a drop of blood.
I loved coming along to pick up the baby Emus! Your kids are so awesome! Kenzie’s facts are very educational. I now have those conversations with my grandson❤️
Sure glad to see the green pastures and hayfields . I'm fortunate enough to already have my Haylage put up and wrapped for y coming winter . Hope you have a wonderful day season , I couldn't imagine having to cut and roll 500 acres though . We usually get enough off of the first cutting for the winter . I truly enjoy your videos .
Hay looks great so far this year - praying for an abundance for the ranch!! The Emu’s are so cute…!! Wonderful surprise for Erin!! Great video as always…!!🤗
Cog hill family farm has one emu and his name is nugget and was raised in the house until to big but I’m just saying he loves to be loved like part of the family and he just loves attention and good rubs and has his own kiddy pool of water. They just love water and family.
So nice to see the pastures growing so nice. So relieved about hay, I hope it's great. Suce a cute video with the kids and the emus. Not sure how to spell that. Nice job with the video Mike. Had such a stressful day today and it was so nice to relax with your show!! Still smiling, thanks!! Joe
Wow that a lot of water .I'm glad you gave us a lesson on the emu I love it Kinze you are so sweet and snarl about looking up the end up so you can share with us .So thanks you for let us ridy with you to pick up the babys .You take care of them .Great jpb.
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW BABIES ERIN. THEY ARE ADORABLE. AND THEY WILL BE SO MUCH FUN AS THEY GET OLDER. PICK THEM UP AND PET THEM EVERY DAY AND THEN THEY WILL CALM DOWN, IT IS A SLOW PROCESS BUT WELL WORTH IT. GOOD JOB MIKE AND KIDS. GRACE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU FOR THE EXTRA SCHOOLING.
I lived on a ranch out side of Buffullo. In 1975. It was on the Crazy Woman River just a few miles from the canyon. Watching you and your family brings back lots of memories. I think the name of the ranch was the 41 quarter circle
Nice video, thank you. By the way, kale is rich in minerals, esp. iron. Iron is needed for blood production among other things, esp. for a growing creature. Of course the bird need grain for protein I would think and then they need vitamins. Have fun with your emus. They are cute.
The emus are so cute I love them yall will have lots of fun with them. Definitely spend lots of time with them out in the yard with the kids playing with them they'll love eating the grass out in the yard and playing out there oh my gosh. Yall will have lots of laughs with their antics while yall have them out in the yard playing and having them chase yall around and all. I watch another channel hidden heights Farm they just got a couple of emus little ones like yall's so they've been taking theirs out in the yard and letting them play also to get them used to them and playing with them and all, it's so fun to watch them play they are little characters when you get them playing and they're used to yall and other human interaction definitely as much as you can get other people to come interact with them because they will be growing fast so the more people that interact with them now they will be used to different people coming up and interacting with them not just yall. God bless yall
It has been a while since I have been able to see you cutting hay. Real happy to hear that the grass is finally growing there. Having to buy hay during this transition time, would have made things that much more difficult.
Well you guys deserve those green pastures this year after many years of struggle and staying in the business! Bless you Mike and Erin!! So happy for the green fields!
Cracks me up seeing your Emus. I was landing at a grass strip and flew over a coral full of Emus. I wasn`t expecting to see a bunch of spastic big birds running into each other as I was flying over them. Got a good chuckle out of it.
Cog Hill emu, Nugget, is very friendly because he didn’t have other Emus to bond with so bonded with Marycarl. With a pair they will bond with each other.
Great to see you now have emu's on the ranch. Lester from I'm a survivor sanctuary u-tube has adults and hatched 3 babie emu, his just taken a drop of blood to sex them as it's very hard to tell any other way, take a look at his channel it's really intresting, I've learned a lot, not that I'm considering keeping emu myself as living in London, UK would be a.challenge. Love you channel Mike esp 30 in 30 my 2nd year of watching now. 👍👍👏👏
The hayfield look amazing. After the dry look from last year. Here in SW Indiana first cuttings already started. Emus will be fun to watch grow and learn about. Have a great evening.
Wow now that's what Wyoming is suppose to look like ..... God's country most beautiful place in America..... I'm glad y'all finely getting rain n y'all getting hay this year. .... AWESOME

The pastures are looking very promising this year which is great news . Wow your got emu's even McKenzie pronounced it properly they make good pets if you raise them from chick's and handle them alot . Now next on the agenda maybe a couple of roo's and a few drop bear's LOL😆 🇦🇺
Congratulations on the new members of Our Wyoming Life !!! Lincoln wants dinosaurs,he has them. Now all I can think of is Jurassic Park. Sounds like more new fence. May one be a female. If so want to see what Erin makes with the eggs. The hay lots look luscious green. Very happy for yous. Love the amazingly gorgeous sunrises and sunsets in Wyoming and South Dakota. From Perth, Australia 🇦🇺
I've been praying for you and your region - for RAIN...praise the LORD...rain and EMUS!!!
From watching Coghill when they first got their emu, it seems that a lot of human interaction in their first few months was key to their emu being very friendly with people. They actually kept it in the daughters room with her for a while & let it roam the house. Have a great day 😊.
Do understand you cannot house-break an emu. If you take them inside, be ready to clean floors and such.
@@matismf was trying to emphasize the positive, never said there weren't any drawbacks. In every life a little rain must fall. Have a great day 😊.
Glad to see that green grass! Praying for more rain and consistent rain during the summer so you will have a bumper crop.

Great to see the hay fields growing this year. Hopefully it will save you $50k or better. Stay safe.
Thanks Jeff, and Im hoping it can save us more than that this year.
Nugget the Emu at Cog Hill Farm is one of my favorite farm animals of all time. I love that silly emu 🥰
Mike and family…you need to check out Cog Hill farms..they have an emu and he is very friendly
I think they had Nugget’s DNA tested to know he is a male emu.
No doubt about it, Mike, you are blessed with a beautiful family! ❤️❤️❤️
Emus we call them Avestruz in Brazil, they can eat everything including nails. I like your videos and your kids they are so nice.
Lucy & Ricky, Fred & Ginger, Harry & Sally all great couples!
Good suggestions Melissa.
I loved coming along to pick up the baby Emus! Your kids are so awesome! Kenzie’s facts are very educational. I now have those conversations with my grandson❤️
Mike love your show! Thank you for sharing your life with us ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 we need lots more family friendly entertainment!!!
I am happy that you guys are having rain and are those emus their cute
Thanks Austin so are we.
Our wyoming life your welcome .
I am watching you for the first time and I like what I see. I live in England 🏴 UK
Thanks for sharing our Wyoming life see ya on the next video

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW BABIES ERIN. THEY ARE ADORABLE. AND THEY WILL BE SO MUCH FUN AS THEY GET OLDER. PICK THEM UP AND PET THEM EVERY DAY AND THEN THEY WILL CALM DOWN, IT IS A SLOW PROCESS BUT WELL WORTH IT. GOOD JOB MIKE AND KIDS. GRACE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU FOR THE EXTRA SCHOOLING.
God is great! He always helps and blesses his children!!!
Emu facts were fun.
I'm pretty sure I heard your checkbook give a sigh of relief after seeing all the green grass
What a great adventure. I’m looking forward to seeing your dinosaurs grow!
Stay tuned! Thanks for watching Lisa.
Those Emu are adorable.. and ur kiddos wow they are the cutest kiddos.. and smart n funny..
It has been a while since I have been able to see you cutting hay. Real happy to hear that the grass is finally growing there. Having to buy hay during this transition time, would have made things that much more difficult.
Bing and Bong. If you are looking for names. 😂
Well you guys deserve those green pastures this year after many years of struggle and staying in the business!
Bless you Mike and Erin!! So happy for the green fields!
Green grass and high tides. It's good you and the family got a break needed on the ranch, grass and water. Very good and take care.
So wonderful you’ve gotten good rain.
Doesnt look like same farm.thank god for rain.great timing too.
You all have fun .Be safe and bring back a big surprise for your mom.
Actually Lester has ostriches. Coghill Farms TH-cam have an emu named Nugget. I love both channels. Came her cuz I saw baby emu on picture. Lol.
Beautiful sunrise and great reason for the trip.
Thanks god yuo got a lot off rain Hello to everybody from Santa Fe New Mexico
Pasture and ponds look great! Beautiful sunrise. Be safe driving Mike.
The hayfield look amazing. After the dry look from last year.
Here in SW Indiana first cuttings already started.
Emus will be fun to watch grow and learn about.
Have a great evening.
Thanks Barbara.
Emu's wow . Their cute.
Erin thinks so too!
Wow now that's what Wyoming is suppose to look like ..... God's country most beautiful place in America..... I'm glad y'all finely getting rain n y'all getting hay this year. .... AWESOME
With the addition of emus, there only resemblance to a ranch there is ranch dressing in the refrigerator.
She looks just like her mom. Wow. Spitting image.
Yes🎉🎉. I remember the hula hoop!😊😊
Love the babies 😍. Think you will enjoy them ☺️
The green fields are a beautiful site! Here’s hoping for smooth haying and a bumper crop!
Emus are another fun and interesting animal for the ranch! Thanks for sharing your ranch with us. We had a great stay!!
So very happy that the grass is growing. Wouldn't it be great if you had enough rain for 2 cuttings?
2 cuttings would be a dream come true!
2 cuttings for you? That is now on my daily prayer list! 🙏
The pastures are looking very promising this year which is great news . Wow your got emu's even McKenzie pronounced it properly they make good pets if you raise them from chick's and handle them alot . Now next on the agenda maybe a couple of roo's and a few drop bear's LOL😆 🇦🇺
I love that coat, McKenzie.
Bonnie & Clyde...SO Cute!🦕🦖
Congratulations on the new members of Our Wyoming Life !!! Lincoln wants dinosaurs,he has them. Now all I can think of is Jurassic Park. Sounds like more new fence. May one be a female. If so want to see what Erin makes with the eggs.
The hay lots look luscious green. Very happy for yous. Love the amazingly gorgeous sunrises and sunsets in Wyoming and South Dakota. Your feet might leave Wyoming but your heart ❤️ never does.
