@@heathermetz6576 Lawmakers usually do not write such basic things into the books, it is the job of the judge and court workers to do what they see necessary to keep order. Much of what some people would presume to be written in law are just rules commonly accepted by most courts.

It’s about a police department prosecutor and judges that lumped a bunch of petty crimes together and called it rico oh and that drive by that most likely the guys very own people did it judging by the witnesses and sounds like the prosecutors just thru in thugs rental car when the witnesses said it was a different car so they are not even right about that this case should be thrown out if the system was fair no judge should have even allowed them to bring this case but as the saying goes you could indict a ham sandwich in America!

I remember way back before the trial started when the judge told the defendant that if he wanted to go to trial, he would guarantee him a fair trial. And he said it with such confidence. Now, fast forward to today and that judge isn't even a part of the trial anymore.
They guarantee the j and J jab too but they pulled that off the shelf in 2 weeks cuz of blood clots !! Don’t trust the govt they have no responsibility jus like the DMV it’s a mess literally that’s why communism doesn’t work

Can you imagine the financial hardships the jurors are going through? $25 per day, or $125 per week, or $500 per month?! For 6 months?! These people are eating through their savings for what?! to watch the justice system fail? Where is the fairness in that?

The Georgia legislature recently passed a law allowing the removal of elected prosecutors if they do not uphold Georgia state law. The Fulton County prosecutor's office filed suit to prevent the law from taking effect.
This is the judge that rejected their case.

Please post a video commenting on the highlights from last Friday’s coverage of Alec Baldwin’s criminal trial and grant of dismissal. I’d love to hear Bruce’s thoughts on those events.
That was something else! Wow, an entire career and current, maybe future, job in peril in five minutes, live on TV. Too bad that he got off by a technicality! But, the offense committed was to the degree that prejudice applied... can't be retried.

Yeah, I think Thug has been mistreated by the system a bit but by all appearances at the core of things he's in some genuine trouble. Doesn't mean he's doomed or anything but people seem to have the attitude that he's just fully being wrongfully prosecuted and I don't think that's quite true.

They're winning the case. If they're not acquitted it's a mistrial. I've listen to 8 month of testimony and nothing is sticks. It has to be the weakest RICO case I've heard of
@@frezling2442 He wasn't mistreated by the system. He was mistreated by the other judge, and that judge has since been removed from the trial. So technically the system saved him from said judge's wrongdoings.
I don't have a comment on the case a s a whole because I don't really care about it I wanted the judge removed because everything I've seen of him in this case is him being a clown and totally on the prosecution side which doesn't allow a fair trial

this is the 4th judge if you’re counting the recused (Shukura and Glanville), Krause who made a decision that the ex parte was fine and the current judge. its crazy as hell. when do 4 judges touch one case?

Im not a lawyer but if you change judges 3 times it seems like you should almost HAVE to start a new trial.. Isnt this totally going to have grounds for appeal all over the place and get a new trial anyways?..

How is the jury surviving without a paying job all this time?
@gametime2473, I cannot speak for any person on this jury, however, part of our compensation package from my employer is that they will pay your regular salary while we are on jury duty.
Yes Bank of America does Pay.. but i remember it was only about 2 weeks. They would wait for you though. You wouldn’t loose your job.

If I recall, juries on long cases also get a stipend for daily expenses. How much they get for things like monthly bills I don't know offhand.

WTF ever..the DEFENSE is the one without the professionalism because the LAST Judge asked for the same thing!! But the DEFENSE keeps disrupting the trial, filing late motions on purpose, keeping witnesses on the stand for weeks, pretending jot to have evidence it has had for 2 years, making personal attacks on the DA and Judge, etc

Normally I'd disapprove, but if the judge was a brittle diabetic, he might have needed a little food. My dad always had 1 Oz of cheese; a small piece of bread with a dash of mustard ( half a sandwich ), and 4 ounces of orange juice before bed . I remember a couple of times he bottomed out during the night and my mom woke me up to sit by the phone if we needed to call an ambulance. Back in the early 60's we had 1 phone in the hall, and I don't remember if there was 911 then. Once we thought he died but the. Eats gave him,I think, glucagon by injection. Now I'm diabetic at nearly 80, and things are way different diabetes still socks. The former judge lost control of this trial.😮😮
I think they were tryna stretch the case out as long as possible in hopes defendants lawyers would drop out due to financial issues. I mean this case has to be expensive!

The Alec Baldwin case was going along at a snail's pace. Then, caboom! The assistant DA resigns out of nowhere. The prosecutor keeps going. The defense discovers in Court a major error, breaking a major ruling on evidence. Prosecutor takes the stand (not wise). In 5 minutes or less, her entire career implodes. She won't even be asked to be a commentator.

Can someone explain to me what happens to the jury members’ lives during the 6 months of trial and 8 months of jury selection?
Jury duty pays minimum wage. If I were out of work for that long I’d lose my house! WTF?!
Minimum wage? In this county it's 30 a day. I think they have coffee and water for jurors
@@B_Bodziakyeah if you don’t have a rule in place with your employer to pay your regular wages whilst you’re on a jury then you’re stuck with like 40 bucks a day max. I hope some of the ppl have their employers paying them. I know my employer has rules like that but not everyone does.

I still get my regular pay when I serve on a jury. But, I've never served anytime close to six months. BTW, all you have to do is tell the court at the beginning that you can't afford to serve because you will not be getting a salary and you will be excused. I've seen it happen several times. No one wants a reluctant juror.

Yeah, It's different depending on the severity of the case also. There's a lot of factors that go into jury selection, size of the case, media attention, famous or not and sometimes trials are moved to different counties/jurisdictions strictly because of jury selection because the county the crimes happened in everyone from that county believes the defendant is innocent/guilty before trial even starts and you cannot have any preconceived notions on the outcome of the trail or how you will rule. I agree 6-8 months for just jury selection is fkn ridiculous..

My limited experience litigating pro se (under extremely unique circumstances; pro se is a trap for most people - get a lawyer) was that most judges are willing to bend over backwards to avoid an appearance of impropriety. A particular judge tried to rule on a case of mine despite being a Respondent in a writ case, i.e. a party opponent, and I had to make a formal motion to recuse to force the issue. However, every other instance was done sua sponte to avoid even an appearance of any conflict, as is proper.

I don't understand her comment about the outfits. Why is a judge trying to limit his wardrobe and is that really legal or ethical?
Ppl are supposed to be dressed neatly for court. No shorts, tank tops, sloppy clothing. I didn't watch the entire trial, but from what I did see, I thought they were dressed appropriately. So I'm not sure why that was mentioned & became a rule.
Because there’s 6 defendants and they had a whole wardrobe each and they were having issues finding room to keep them in the jail. That’s still 30 outfits they have to handle lol
