My list (I suck at ctr and this is my opinion not yours) 5. Sewer Speedway 4. Electron Avenue (I am bad at the turning.) 3. Blizzard Bluff (becomes easy after a little practice.) 2. Polar Pass. 1. Dragon Mines. Screw this shortcut. Honorable Mentions. (6-8) 6. Crash Cove. Really... 7. Mystery Caves. 8. Hot Air Skyway. This is ranked on only difficulty btw. Peace =)
Love this tip video. It helps because of the following: 1. You've shown side-by-side, the difference in time it makes by taking the shortcut vs not. 2. Cutting your video short enough to show just 5 tips at a time so we can go practice 5. If you'd shown all shortcuts in a single video, it would've been overwhelming. If I may suggest: if you could show the comparison like you did @3:34, but for all tricks, that would really help us (newbies like myself) visualize to the full extent of how much of a difference it makes.
Papu's Piramide is not so difficult. No need timing and sacred fire neither. At the same time, Electronic Avenue one is more difficult than you think. I agree with Polar Pass shortcut, which is the hardest in the game after second shortcut in Blizzard Bluff. You need Sacred/Blue fire and perfect timing. Honorable mention to the Hot Sky Airways Shortcut, the one at the end of the lap. I'm ad advanced player (but no pro player), i can beat Oxide in time trial, but Hot Sky Airways Shortcut Is the only one I've never taken perfectly.
I was consistently getting over the fence shortcut for a little while. I think there's a hidden "ramp" in the snow that makes your jump higher, because I've gone way over the fence before. But... I can't find it anymore. All the other shortcuts aren't too bad.
*gasp* New intro!!! Thanks for the tips vids; I just beat (that cheater) Oxide for the first time last night!!! Sewer Speedway: I tend to be afraid to try this one, but I'm starting to take other shortcuts to build my driving confidence.... Out of Time: I've found these on my own!!! Still learning how to do the second one constantly though... Blizzard Bluff: The fence is evil.... Polar Pass: This one (even the regular one) is GAMECHANGING!!! I'm trying to cut the corner bit by bit.... Hyper Spaceway: I've seen that bit of road down there on my own!!! I guess it is supposed to be kind of hidden?
Nice! Oxide now has a new opponent in town 😂 new intro took some time to make Haha. Yea some shortcuts are hidden, if u found it yourself, u are one observant person!
@@TheViperian Well then you need a PERFECT drift to do it but I am pretty sure you get a little bit of speed from reserves but I am not sure though, but it is possible
Yeah I've only dont that fence hop once... it's too risky to attempt if you are not good at it. Blue fire also makes that hyper space way shortcut safer. Running out of blue fire mid air is not an issue cuz you will still make it. Running out of sacred fire mid air on the same short cut is scary. High chance of you failing it.

The Sewer Speedway shortcut is mainly difficult due to a physics difference compared to the original. Speed does NOT factor into your Jump Height in this version.
@@TheViperian In the original, the thing I mentioned earlier gave it leniency, making it super consistent. With that not being here, you now HAVE to hit the trick jump.
Absolutely. But Dragon Mines shortcut can be taken in a failed way, in a good way, in a great way and in a perfect way. Blizzard Bluff second shortcut is literally an all in move: or you take it, or you're fucked. But yes, honorable mention to this shortcut.
I would like to correct something you said about polar pass. Blue fire is not actually required (but the shortcut is extremely difficult without it) You can actually make the full shortcut you showed in spot number 2 with yellow fire
TheViperian Yes, very uncomfortable. And it is weird because I have been a gamer for 30+ years. And in the nintendo days there weren’t any analogue sticks. But I can’t get used to it. I can not defeat a single oxyde time. So I can not become any good at this game if I keep using analogue? It’s a Shame cuz I love the game. I am mad at myself that I can’t get the hang of it. I am not a noob gamer. Held world records in Rayman, rayman legends, many racing games, was the second best FIFA player on xbox for two years in a row. Yet here I get completely owned!! Just like in shooters. When you are my age (39) your reflexes or getting slower so 15 years ago my kill/death ratio would be 3.0 in shooters, now it is 0.3. 😅 I really hope you can give me some good pointers or tips. Maybe to learn u-turn with analogue or is this also impossible. My and my son and friend have subbed because we like that you take the time to help CTR noobs. Best wishes for 2020!
@@BradleyCoopertest thanks for sharing this! I love helping people if I can, glad to know my message for out to the community 😄 Dont worry, u can still win without airbraking. I absolutely can not STAND the fence shortcut in OoT (or NN to a lesser extent), it's not the most inconsistent in the game but it is by far one of the most punishing if you miss. that patch of grass should 100% be removed, you've already dropped like 3 places and lost all speed if you miss it, it doesn't need insult to injury. I avoid it like the plague even though I can get it like 60% of the time, that nightmarish 40% is never worth it. it is enough to make me hate the map and drop out of the lobby usually. Blizzard bluff (just the jump I didn't even know about the fence) and Prehistoric Playground's first are the absolute worst in terms of inconsistency/difficulty though. I've attempted them full on blue flame, a turbocharger AND an Aku-aku and still missed, and then one time I made the former without even boosting. makes zero sense. Twilight tour's is probably the least worth it, I swear I do better without since it leaves you at a horrible angle.
Yeah some shortcuts are just useless and not worth it lol. Another example would be Nina's Nightmare very first shortcut at the start line. It doesnt feel like a shortcut but an alternate path
@@TheViperian I don't think I've seen a single person use that besides CTR challenge, you have to risk jumping a fence for virtually nothing, the unboosted jump probably ends up breaking even if not being slower the main path! Any that go through rough terrain like Mystery caves, Roo's Tubes, or Coco's Park are only worth it with a lot of speed, beginners would probably do more harm than good.
