Oh I’m glad I’ve read your comment since I only trust my eyes and at this point all I have at my dispose is just online pictures and reviews. And from what I see I tend to believe those bags are very well made, but it’s hard to tell for sure if the quality is indeed as good as I’m thinking. But honestly, I had the same feeling about this particular review - instead of disappointing in this bag I gained more confidence in buying it as soon as possible. And I love Loewe bags as well. 😊

Appreciate this review for for things to consider when making my bags. If the bag is truly 100% hand made, IE no sewing machines for stitching, the stitching holes are all hand punched and the bag is hand stitched, then yes, I think the price point is spot on. If mass produced, Meh, buyer be the judge. Without being able to hold the bag in my hand, It looks like the leather for the outer/inner shell is likely sheepskin sandwiched with an HDPE sheet between layers to stiffen the front and back or thinly skived veg tan. Regarding the sides, regardless of what leather you use, you'll eventually end up with wrinkles in the side gussets, especially with this kind of accordian style bag. The magnet closures and slide rings for the shoulder attachments are metal, slide rings (the square things on the strap) are brushed brass and likely not cheap, especially given supply chain issues. (hardware costs for bags have jumped 200% since Charlie-Victor-19er). The studs where the shoulder strap attaches on the inside are Sam Browne buttons (my cost is up to $6 for each stud with avg cost $3.50 each). The zipper for the inside pocket is plastic, (which I would not have done) and the endpoint is not gusseted like the start side in order to make the inside pocket lie flatter when closed. I would agree with you regarding the plastic divider on the inside. That piece could have incorporated a piece of 1oz veg tan leather lined with sheep skin for continuity. The only issue with that is, you have to consider thickness of the leather. Overall, it looks to me like the bag is well constructed based solely on the video. Again, thanks for the video. Hand stitched lol... Do you know how expensive human labors are (even in China) nowadays? Not to mention human hands are not as good as sewing machines. Why stop here and wear yarned cotton? You should grab an animal fur from the woods.
I actually like it even after you showed me the parts you don’t like. It’s unique, well made and thought off as well as it uses good leather and pretty functional I must say. I don’t want to pay $500 for a bag that has a well known brand but looks like any other bag. Just my opinion.
To be honest, I personally think there may be many considerations that went inside the design details. A transparent divider allows you to see quickly the what's inside the bag if you have many small things pile on top of each other and the zipper inside with single wide opening is a very standard zipper style -- you are supposed to get whatever inside that pocket from the wider side, e.g. your phone and wallet and slide them in and out from there, which is just as convenient. The benefit of this type of zipper is that the pocket could be tight and flat so it would not take too much of the space of the back compartment. It's all about trade-offs. Like you said, the plastic divider makes it easier to scratch and the pocket is not AS accessible. And maybe there are many other better solutions. But I think you may want to be more educated on technical matters before trashing their products. It was a bit hard to watch since it feels unfair. I personally don't wear Mlouye bags but I think their designs are worth my respect every time I browse their website. It is technically challenging to accomplish what they want to achieve.
Get a bag. Then you can decide on whether what he says is true. I agree with him 100% after I bought one. And yes, I was swayed by their highly creative social contents and designs. But their quality and execution is far from desirable, especially at that price point. Although highly creative, the bag feels and looks cheap. Definitely not looking like a USD$560 bag I paid for. Am vastly disappointed.
Thanks for this honest review! It’s so difficult to tell with influencers nowadays, because I think many give a positive review if they’ve been gifted the bag. I want a review from someone who chose to buy it. I love designer bags for their quality and I don’t need logos emblazoned everywhere, so I’m interested in this mid-price, where you’re ideally paying for the quality and design, but not the label. But after watching this, I know I would have a serious issue with the look and feel. I know exactly what you mean about the hardware. Going to see what else you’ve reviewed!
Thank you so much for your review. I just bought a white Mlouye pulse bag. I am shocked at the poor craftsmanship, especially the cut and stitching around the wave area. It is extremely poorly executed with uneven and crude stitching and jagged ridges where it is supposed to be smooth. I have taken photos, written and expressed my disappointment to a Serra from Mlouye Helpdesk and was told by her that this is normal variations and high quality. This has added insult to injury. Since when has crude, uneven stitching and jagged ridges been deemed high quality variations?!!!! If I’m Meb Rure, I would be livid to see my design looking like a Shein bag. It definitely is way overpriced for the quality and poor craftsmanship. Vastly disappointed here. Going to exchange for a bag with linear lines because the brand cannot construct a wave well at all. I am hoping to exchange it for another bag because the refund would immediately minus $95 usd and I have to pay for the courier service as well. I was so excited to see this brand on social media but alas, the pulse bag I received looks crude and cheap. Great design concept though. There is no point in producing a bag if the execution is weak. I totally agree with you on many levels. You have a critical eye for sure. Thank you for your honest review!

Mechanic here. This may sound strange but tap stuff you are questioning being metal against your teeth . Use good judgment but yeah it works . Works with glass as well.
When you opened the bag, I thought they had just placed a strip of leather across the top of it 👀 and thought “that’s odd”, until you send there was a plastic pocket 😂
Yeah, the plastic divider inside was a no for me. Everything else wouldn’t be a problem for me. The zippered slot inside can only be expanded at one end otherwise you would have to unhook the zipper pull to expand the closed end. Most bags don’t have an expander an I end up scratching my knuckles when reaching inside. The older one gets, the thinner and delicate skin gets. Great revue though! Gives insight to what you’re getting.
It’s not, I got one form my wife, it’s metal and full grain leather. It’s the first time I see one of its reviews and I am already questioning its knowledge.
Really? I just thought the hardware felt/looked so cheap and I hate the clear plastic interior divider. I think it's going to get indentations, holes and discolor. I loved the look of the bag, which is why I bought it, but the quality was a disappointment to me for the price point.

I appreciate the review. I'm slightly confused in that you seem to have a love/hate relationship with this bag. You will reveal something that you don't like about it and then turn around and say something good about it. For being worn a couple of times it looks to be in impeccable condition. Again I'm confused as to why you would pay almost $500 on any item that you were unsure of in the first place. And honestly I'm not sure what amount you expect to get for it after giving it such a horrific review. Again I appreciate your honest opinion.
I like and dislike things about every bag I have. It depends on what you can live with and what you cant. Overall I didn’t like the bag and I thought the quality of the hardware and the clear plastic divider in the middle were poor. I love the look of the bag from a design perspective. It is very cool and interesting. My mom took it. So it went to a good home.
The stitching looks mechanical and cheap, even on video. The leather doesn’t appear supple or real, maybe bonded? Also plastic interior zipper? And the interior brand label, looks cheap. All in all, it looks cheap, primarily because of the stitching

I have this bag and it’s a beautiful bag- yes the zipper is metal. The leather is beautiful and better than my Louis epi.

It’s not the leather exterior, it’s the cheap plastic divider inside. That is going to get misshapen and dirty.
