As a dog dad who raised "only child's" for 25 years, I adopted a Border Collie who's owners died, to be a sibling for my German Shepherd. And I couldn't agree more, to borrow your words, "its the best thing I ever did." Especially when they play tug of war. 😅 So glad it worked out for you! Thank you for caring for these precious kiddos! Every dog deserves a home.
When you took Rodney for a day trip and the brought him back I felt brokenhearted for him. I thought I could never do that. Then you went back and got him and I was so happy for him. I love the person you are Nikki! Thanks for all you do! The world could use more people like you!
When I adopted my second dog, she has a lot of issues from things she’d been through. She would sleep on the edge of my bed kind of hunched up and ready to bolt at a moments notice. She’d run and hide in my closet a lot. It took a full year of living with me and my other doggo for her to finally feel fully safe and secure. Now she sleeps totally relaxed sprawled out right by my shoulder, snoring like a diesel truck 😂 . So the night time aggression may minimize or go away over time once Rodney settles in and starts to heal from his trauma.
Yay, the mystery man is back…and he has a name!! So excited to see more of you and Justin together! Love that you have a special someone in your life, Nikki. ☺️
Have four dogs 2 were literally throwed away One owners died (family) onebrought left with us 9 wk old had big flea infest cat abandoned spayed let go nevet left so in and out as she pleases Never bought a dog Always took what needed home Ones not wanted Cannot fathom throwing animal away or leaving it I could not live with my conscience Though Rodney got lucky ,most dont and suffer Turn in to shelter vs throw out somewhere better, dont get pet unless plan to keep lifelong like family
I think Rodney is training faster because he had a family and Camper did not. We could tell the difference in the dogs we adopted who had a family in the past and those that did not.
Too many things I love about this video to list them all! Love the new addition to the pack, love the light up collars, love that you have such a heart to take on another furry family member Nikki 🥰
Rodney is like a little baby . They are very lucky to have a wonderful leader.
I don’t think I could ever do van life or life without a pup they just make things better. 🐶 🐩 🐕 ❤
Hah I love how during the plunge you scream from the cold, then Camper barks along with you as if to join in the scream😂
🐶 The only items missing for your dog's safety are seat belts!! 🎉
Camper and Rodney now live the lives of princes and kings.
Rodney’s little waggy tail is adorable! 😍
I am so happy Rodney is fitting in. He is truly one lucky dog.
Really lovely seeing the growing relationship with Rodney and Camper ❤
What's better than a talking dog? Two talking dogs! Love them both.
When he wakes up in the middle of the night he is saying thank you for being here instead of old situation. gratitude
Rodney is such a lucky puppy , he has the best brother and dog mom . His nighttime issue will go away in time . The views of Lake tahoe are stunning. That's a great way to start a day, coffee, and a cold plunge .
I love that you adopted 2 beautiful dogs and gave them the best life they could ever ask for.
You're a wonderful momma bear to your babies. Being a momma bear myself, I couldn't help but worry when you were hiking without a survival pack. It's just the protective instinct kicking in, making sure you're safe and sound in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Take care, one momma bear to another! 🫂
