Can't wait for the new digs to begin. I hope so much you have been able to keep as many of the old crew as is possible. The camaraderie they had developed was the heart and soul of the show. Really that made the show a joy to watch. Not just the finds and the info of the history but watching them joke with each other and rib each other a bit was just heart warming.
I loved listening to Matt about the video of 32 test pits. I too enjoyed every bit of this video looking for monastery. And how much older their village was. Great stuff. I would like to see something like this video in another town/village. I have watched this video 6 times. I need something new. 😃 Matt it's been great to see you grow up on the Time Team. ❤️🙏❤️
The effort needed to record 32 test pits and 16 trenches doesn't occur to the viewer. I liked hearing Matt mention that work. Scientific inquiry makes TT so much more than a great adventure show. I can't wait to see them dig a fogou.
the level of work didn't escape me in that episode. I really love archaeology, probably more so because of this series.....even if we did get them years late in Aus.
Great to see Matt again. I'd swear, other than his hair being a bit shorter, he hasn't changed much. Doing archaeology must make people more timeless... When you read the Wessex Archaeology post-excavation reports it's amazing how much more went on off camera. Hat's off to the men and women of Wessex Archaeology, they did a stellar and all too often unnoticed job in recording, post-excavation analysis and reporting.
Archeology works hand to hand with geology. Yet you hardly ever mention the geology unless it is causing you problems. That is not a service, it is exactly a dis-service.
I’m in the US and I absolutely love watching Time Team! Thank you for sharing this program with us.

So nice to see these old members of Time Team again.
It was exciting to watch the huge logistic enterprise with large numbers of local people. As Dani said, community archaeology at its best.

Love these chats with the team members.
Matt and Dani. Two of my very favorite archeologists together again!!! 💜🙏💜 🖖

Excellent presentation ... really interesting & insightful commentary ... thank you both ... cheers!
Tbh one thing i would have always loved to see is as much of the footage as possible for one of the digs

Matt is looking more and more like the young Arnold Schwarzenegger, isn't he ? Maybe some common ancestor...
so looking forward to the new shows
Great chat😊😊
Long may Time Team live!
one of the more interesting episodes
I'll catch it after, i'm not getting up at 2:30am.
Wish you would just put the digging videos up, can’t get through these talking ones
