Don’t laugh but I think I may have made a huge mistake buying this air rifle. I haven’t shot an air rifle in probably 15 years, but a 1am shopping spree and not enough research led me to buying this 0.35 version. I want it for pest control and target shooting, but now after doing some research I’m realising that choosing this instead of a 22 or 177 was a pretty uninformed choice to say the least. Even the pest control is likely to be right on the edge of where the accuracy is going to be perhaps unethical incase I miss the shot. My question, how hard is it to get the license to be able to upgrade the power over 12ftlb? Obviously since I don’t have any history of using one. Should I just buy a 177/22 and put this away for a few years? Or is there some license that allows say for example upto 24 ftlb that isn’t so hard to get? TIA
@@5euk just a bit daft in sub 12ftlb .22 or .177 will be far more accurate, effective, efficient and economical. Sure you know this. Fun making big holes though. Love a go at fac levels but think i'll stick with my slingshot!!!
@@eyesintheskies Just look at the damage to a tin can at 22 yards and the accuracy was spot on. No rat would survive that when pesting. The point of the video was to show and prove that a .35 in sub 12 is effective for UK shooters at the closer distances. And if you ever take an Airgun abroad (like I do) where there are no power restrictions, you then also have a proper powerful tool.
@@5euk yeh makes sense if you travel & its a premium gun so at that distance it better be accurate!!!. A bit pricey for a ratter mind! Personally i wouldn't chance it on rabbits, but hay its your quarry & your choice. I know folk that hunt rabbits with slingshot (im not good enough with one to ethically do so🤦🏼). Would be curious what kinda ft\lb those things are firing, probably not far off a 9mm leshiy sub 12! 🤔
Great vid, looks a great tool, I love mine (177 sub 12) been my go to since I had it at launch 👍
Thank you for your video and information
Bloody hell that’s some hitting power.
Just imagine what it would be like at 140fpe !!!!
@@5euk no thanks you’d certainly hear the crack and thump if it went close. Not much left of a close range rat at that power.
Where did you order from and was it straight forward importing to the Uk?
