- We're in the major leagues now! After 2 months of waiting, episode 6 of Helluva Boss has finally been released! What is perhaps one of the most action packed, frightening, musical, and surprising episode thus far, it's no wonder it took twice as long as normal to make! But was the wait worth it? ...I have no comparison to make, the answer is yes.

13:13, yeah the outfit does bring out clown/jester/circus feels. Also take note of Blitzo's eyes when the trip first starts, he looks younger.
Note how while they are seeing different things, Blitzo and Moxie are still communicating to each other as they trip, the convos had same theme= their insecurities and bad part of their personalities. Their talk after coming out of the trip also supports this.
When Millie drops from the ceiling, there are footprints on the ceilings.
"Why are we using only weapons from the Edo period?!"
"The Edo Period was bad ass and you know it!"
It's a in-joke about them using weapons people see as samurai or ninja weapons, and that date from Japan's Edo period instead of using guns against the demons.
There's one theory that Stolas left the agents alive is due to how he reached Earth, he literally could not kill them. In actual lore of the Ars Goetia, humans could use the book to summon demons to Earth, if done correctly, then the demon could not kill the summoner as the circle used to bring to Earth also acts as a binding, thus unable to kill the 'binder' aka summoner.
When Stolas first possesses Agent two, he also controls the likely dead nameless agents to draw a sigil around her on the floor, that's the actual symbol for Stolas from the Ars Goetia. So maybe if the real-world lore is being used here maybe he literally could not kill them.
Or he could simply have a different plan. XD
Moxxie's line "I'm a VIRGO" makes me giggle every time.

I think Stolas letting them live was a plan that he is putting in motion, I think he has access to diviners either innately or from that crystal ball scene in the teaser.

Also, bear in mind that Stolas is historically depicted as one of the most benevolent demon princes of the Ars Goetia. For all his power, he isn't fond of fighting or pointless slaughter. If he no longer perceived the agents as a threat, he'd most likely show them mercy ... after terrifying them both to within a hairsbreadth of heart failure as an object lesson, of course, because first and foremost, Stolas remains a teacher.
Love reactions from fans of the show, and I don't mind waiting for the select few reactors that take longer.

If you look in the background as the agents are crawling away during the bloodbath you can see Loona going ham with it just like the ad in the pilot
The fat mom joke could be taken further if Blitzo agreed she's dead "And in hell, how did you think I knew her?"
Worth the 4 mo the wait and man that song and trippy sequence was like cool. Plus Stolas was actually terrifying and Stoliz canon. 2 ep left and man things will get even more nutso come ep 7 which i hope will air before the end of the year.
On the one hand I really want to see the next ep, but on the other this one was so massive I kinda hope the team takes a good rest to recuperate. They deserve it!

@@thesilentviolet I think you're probably safe, as the art style for Moxxie's trip also shares considerable similarity to Disney's style during the 90's, particularly Beauty and the Beast, so it's not all Hamilton's fault.
This also makes the use of the style used in Blitz's hallucination interesting as the music and animations style pay homage to Pink Floyd's the Wall, but going back further, it's heavily inspired by the Fleischer Studio's animations from the 1920's-1930's.
Back then they were a direct competitor to Disney, and while not as well remembered now, they had a crop of popular works in the form of Betty Boop, Popeye, and even some early Superman adaptations. In the end they couldn't compete with the House of Mouse, particularly when feature films like Snow White started to come out, but their style lives on, most recently (before Helluva Boss at least), in the Cuphead video game.
Their style was viewed as being more visceral than Disney, which even in its early days, was known for its clean style and movement, and it works AMAZINGLY well in the context of Blitz's psyche.
Also Re Moxxie in a dress: Back in episode 4 at the Lover's Lookout portion, he was rocking his outfit better than Millie. It's no surprise that he can pull off a Victorian Ballroom getup flawlessly.
Looking back at the 3rd episode and this, who has Stolas/Verosika scared of being in "trouble"? I'm not thinking Satan, but those Exterminators with the creepy masks.
The Edo Period was a time period in Japanese history, and all the weapons the D.H.O.R.K.S. use are from that time and country. The weapons were pretty badass, but then gun powder came on the scene, and just like in this episode, the weapons became useless.
Helluva Boss rocks and finally Millie and Loona Team up plus loona got taller in her human for..

I saw someone refer to this episode as a 10k crackfic given video form, and that was meant as a compliment!
The fight animation is utterly fantastic, but I also love the character animation on Blitzo and Moxxie when they're still prisoners - Mox being so expressive with his feet is so charming to me!
The fight was so awesome to me because we could see how each of the members of IMP shine, especially Loona. I think people forget sometimes because of her age, but she's still a wolf! If she gets a hold of you with her teeth? You're fucked!
Haha, thats a funny way of describing it! The fights scene was such a great moment for all the characters to shine.. And omg, I didn't notice Moxxie's feet, I'll have to go back and watch!
