Hi man I live in the Sacramento area and was wondering if we could maybe meet up so you could help me with my project. I have a 79 Honda cm400t with most of the new parts you have I also have all of the original parts to. I understand if not. I got this bike so me and a close friend could work on it together . But unfortunately the world lost one of the best human beings that this planet had to offer. I would love finish the bike in fact I will finish it but he was the one who knew about working on those kind of things. Thank goodness for this channel but it’s not in depth enough for me to fully finish the bike if you could help me that would me the world to me to honor my friend like that thank you so much Tim’s garage you are a true honest working TH-cam channel
From what I can tell, your bike (and my CM400A) came originally with a sealed beam - not a halogen with a reflector. Do you still have the original headlight assembly/bucket on there, or did you start with something aftermarket to begin with? If I could get a halogen/reflector combo to fit correctly in the existing/original bucket... that'd be ideal. The Search continues.
I ya w a question about the wiring part, can you find the wiring diagram in the service manual? I’m currently missing mine and looking for one or at least the diagram
Hello Mr. Hines, i want to thank you for the very helpful videos of your rebuild. I started my own Café Racer Projekt on an cm 400 t 2 weeks ago. I’m looking forward to build air pods on the filters but I’m very insecure about the jets, wich one did you used for your bike ? I also have already bought the Mac 2 in 1 exhaust system with the emgo mufflers, so we should have a pretty similar setup ;) Thanks for your help Luckey P.S. sry for my bad English :)

Interesting. It looked totally OEM to me. Wiring diagram showed all the harnesses. Unfortunately, it was like that when I got it....

Tim Hines Ok, I bought a few sizes from my local Honda dealer. I will test a few different sets till I find the perfect one :D
Can you link to the bulb you used? Thank you
Sure. It's actually in my similar video for my Thruxton
How did you get the clip in?
The clip that holds the light itself?
