Hello, I would like to know if you have already tried Merch dominator; if yes, what can you tell us in term of comparison to Merch informer. Thank you in advance. Best Regards
Nice! If you haven’t already, I’d upload them to the other big POD sites (my favorites are Amazon Merch On Demand, Teepublic, and RedBubble). They are all non-exclusive so you can upload the same designs onto multiple sites at once.
Thank you very much for this Greg. Wouldn't it be more effective as I've seen and heard people do when first testing the waters, is upload a bunch of designs in different niches in 1 store only on a marketplace, and use that as a test to see which ones sell, and then after determining which designs will be likely more profitable and have popularity, THEN you create a store solely dedicated to that one niche. This is, rather than spending potentially wasted time and effort having a store in a niche that never gets traction. ??
Excellent question! This is my old strategy that I used to do/teach 😉 It doesn’t work well anymore because the general niches are full and saturated. Now it’s about going in with intel on what’s under-saturated and filling those up. It’s like getting ahead of the curve rather than seeing what sticks. Hope that makes sense and helps!
Hi Greg! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply with your thoughts. I was in fact 'not' wanting to do general niches as you mentioned, but rather upload low competition sub-niche designs in 3 markets of which I've already researched their data and demand. But just wanted to ensure I pick the right market before dedicating a full store to that specific niche by seeing which ones sold more first. What held me back was the credibility aspect of when people see multiple niches designs in one store. I'm happy you cleared that up for me where I'll separate the designs per store per market. Thanks heaps!.@@GregGottfried

I really like ur videos because of how simple and straight they are but my problem is I can't really pay for any website for now and I just started and im wondering if there's any other ways for free to start the print on demand thank you so much
That's a great question. In my experience, there's no way to 'really' know. There are tools out there that will tell you estimated sales numbers, but they quickly lead to paralysis by analysis. The way I see it, it doesn't take long to create designs and upload them into a sub-niche, so it's only going to diversify you more by getting into as many as you can (especially while they are low-competition). Hope that helps shed some light on this, and I appreciate the comment!

Hey Greg, this is the first time watching you and I'm so glad that I found your video bc it's just what I needed. I have been watching TH-cam videos for almost a year now and guess what I haven't done a damn thing yet. Overthinking everything too much information along with the shiny object syndrome. Your video and the other ones that I am going to watch now, may just get my ass motivated I hope, LOL. I have a quick question all the TH-cam videos on digital products selling on Etsy all that say you should go with one particular niche or sub-niche in your shop. I don't want to sell on Etsy because they charge for each listing and that can get pretty costly. 40, 80 or 100 product listings that gets expensive.. Could you possibly give me some ideas where else I can sell the products I'm going to design and sell. One of my thoughts was to sell on my Website, but I don't know how to set that up. I plan on starting a Newsletter in the Health & Self Care Niche, bc that's what I'm really knowledgeable in and its my passion. Any ideas or suggestions you may have I would greatly appreciate it. Can you give me an example of a sub-niche of geographical nostalgia or environmental or at least how to combine these topics in a question for a chatGPT?
Hey no worries! Use chat gpt to give you tshirt slogan ideas for specific states. Then further it down to cities. And then popular attractions (that aren’t copyrighted, think like national parks etc.). Chat gpt will be able to come up with phrases unique to that location. For each topic you can check for competition levels on merch informer and you should have a bunch of good ideas to work with.
The print on demand websites do it all for you 👍 We just need to upload the designs and they literally do it all from there and we just get a split of the profit from each sale. More on it all here: th-cam.com/video/oWh4PP68RsE/w-d-xo.html
Hi @GregGottfried , I like your content. Would you please do a video that expounds on the local/regional aspect? I tried looking around for local stuff and ended up in a rabbit hole of local ghost stories. Interesting, but not overly helpful. How do you find local niches?
😂 my favorite comment today! Yes absolutely though. I’ll see what I can put into a video but in the meantime use chat gpt to give you tshirt slogan ideas for specific states. Then further it down to cities. And then popular attractions (that aren’t copyrighted, think like national parks etc.). Chat gpt will be able to come up with phrases unique to that location. For each topic you can check for competition levels on merch informer and you should have a bunch of good ideas to work with. Maybe some will even be ghost story related lol

@@GregGottfried thanks , I've been selling on amazon merch for 2 weeks. Open teepublic 2 days ago and was suspended yesterday lol selling the same design I have on amazon
Great question. My usual go-to is 'names' for this one, and my understanding is they get bought as gifts for people. 'Birth years' are also a good one here. Some sites allow the customer to customize the design before purchasing, that's a huge opportunity as well. Hope that helps!
Thanks for sharing this awesome content as always Greg! 👌 Just one request, please also do a video for basic level artists who can design original design content which could be unique. Also, please provide your view on this that would it be actually efficient to make hand drawn cartoons and characters that represent those slogans or would it be a waste of time since the market is saturated with those readily available designs on a single click? AI art is also saturating the market, so would AI be more efficient? Or would the audience even want it? For me as a medium level artist, your point of view is extremely impotent since you are the expert on the subject and I can't find this answer anywhere, any tip or advice would be helpful. I dont want to waste time, so is designing unique stuff from scratch and hand drawn designs and characters even worth it? Thank you for your time

which POD platform would this work best on? " Etsy, Shopify etc"
Thank you and have a good evening
Thank you Greg for posting another superb tutorial on print-on-demand business. I'm from India and just starting out. I wanted to know if all this info is applicable in the Indian PoD scenario too?
Nice! Yes it is 👍🏼 if you run into any specific questions let me know!
@@GregGottfriedhey there, I tried to comment in the other box, didn't work. This is the first time watching your is so glad that I found your video it's just what I needed. I have a quick question all the TH-cam videos on digital products at see all that say you should go with one particular niche keep it separated everything in store. I don't want to sell on Etsy because there was leafy in my opinion is too high that can mean into some pretty steep cost just to list your product.
Can i upload the same design on multiple websites?
Yes you can 👍🏼
@greg What should be the prompts for Personalized/Custom, environmental/sustainability, and Health/Wellness in ChatGPT
Cat hiking is a high competition niche???
My content is not taken, when I added it into placeit alotted box. Please I need your help. Thks
Hmmm… I’m not sure why. But try using a different internet browser. Google Chrome is the best I think. Hope that helps!
Hi.
I have a question, don't you need to find a t- shirt supplier first? What about samples?
The print on demand websites do it all for you 👍 We just need to upload the designs and they literally do it all from there and we just get a split of the profit from each sale. More on it all here: th-cam.com/video/oWh4PP68RsE/w-d-xo.html
do you need to have photoshop installed on your computer in order for this to work?
:) and that's a good idea. I did get a few possible blurbs using Chat@@GregGottfried
@@GregGottfried You seriously are a wealth of information! Lol! Love your 'abundance attitude' (plenty for everyone to go 'round) - thanks again for sharing your knowledge! :)
How do you know if the search results are for print on demand tshirts and not just physical products.
Hi I been doing print on demand and just want to ask everyone how long did it take to see sales
I hope this video is helpful, it's all about time to first sales: th-cam.com/video/BRdK2GGOxnA/w-d-xo.html

do you also market them on your own?, can new store sell through their marketing? thank you
They do all the marketing for you as well, even on new stores. More on that here:

Great video. Do have one question. Not sure how to sub niche Personalize/custom. Any pointers?
Great question. My usual go-to is 'names' for this one, and my understanding is they get bought as gifts for people. 'Birth years' are also a good one here. Some sites allow the customer to customize the design before purchasing, that's a huge opportunity as well. Hope that helps!
Thanks for sharing this awesome content as always Greg! 👌
Just one request, please also do a video for basic level artists who can design original design content which could be unique.
