if it was an actual crochet top at a store it had to be made by someone since crochet can't come from a machine. some stores that sell them it's like bad for the maker likely who'd be in china who barely gets any money from it
Yarn itself like for the tiniest project you have to buy a huge thing of yarn which is like $5 then you have to spend like 25 minutes finding a pattern then you have to spend a couple of hours making that pattern so when people say that $30 is overpriced for a crochet plushie or shirt I get so mad because you cannot make crochet by machine it's impossible so yeah please everyone be impressed by anyone crocheting even the tiniest thing they have to go through so much just to make that tiny little coaster
@@Aleena-h6b some ppl already have yarn then they just find a pattern and use it or use the exact yarn in the pattern. You don't also have to have a huge thing of yarn it depends what you're making. There are one skein projects like a hat etc
For tops, you need cotton. It can handle moisture without getting weird and can be washed and dried a lot easier, and maybe even more frequently, than acrylic yarn. The top turned out great though!!
I love getting the fuzzy yarn at the dollar tree, because it us so cute and I can sell my plushies for less money since the yarn is so cheap! Also if beginners want to practice and not waste money on project that don't turn out good, the dollar tree is great😜
I made a giant throw blanket out of like a dozen balls of dollar tree chenille yarn. I'd gone to dollar tree on a whim and when I found their chenille, I absolutely needed to use it for something. It's so soft and while the blanket I made has a lot of mistakes for my first big project, it's held up really well to regular use for two years. 10/10 would recommend dollar store chenille

if you dont like measuring crochet clothes, i would recommend a granny square hexagon jacket!! you dont need to measure anything and can easily continue crocheting to your desired size :)
Girl you should just cave and use your own ergonomic crochet hooks, buying new crappy hooks just for a dollar tree challenge can make it less fun for you if your hands cramp up from using them. Just ignore all the annoying people that may complain about it. Your comfort and enjoyment is important! Love your content 💚

You should consider purchasing a beauty blender from DT! I did a thing similar challenge once, and I stabbed a beauty blender through the crochet hook and it gave it an ergonomic grip. Just a thought though, it doesn't work for everyone!

Use cotton, bamboo or a blend of both for future warm weather tops! They're much more friendly for heat 😊
Cotton yarns and wider stitches (more holey) for warm weather tops will definitely make them more breathable!
