Thank you, Frank, for what is clearly an ongoing Labour of love. What with this and your La Celestia website I don’t think anyone has done more to honour Patricia’s memory. Looking forward to the next part.
Was never one much for Opera until i first head this young Angel sing her beautiful voice was like a magnet drawing me in, takes a special kind person to have that effect on one .. R.I.P 💖
That version of Leonard Cohens "Hallelujah"... I was a stagehand, and heard him perform it 4 times over 2 days, back in the old days, in the late 1980's. And was paid for it!! Best time of my life.. Later.. I heard Jeff Buckleys version. Hearing Mss Patricia Janečková singing it, in her own language, is just amazing! I don't understand a word, yet I understand every word! "Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you She tied you to a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah" And here we have a Symphony Orchestra, backing up Mss Patricia Janečková... It is BEATIFULL!!
Well, Thank You for these uploads, there goes that weekend, to be spent in good company. The algorithm suggested Mss Patricia Janečková to me back in late September last year. I just pressed "play" and listened in awe. Then came October 1.... 😢 I'll be sipping a bottle of Champagne, or two, make good food, and disturbe my neighbours with loud music. R. I. P..
Great video. But you can change in the title the name to Patricia Janečková - with č and á. Because she only sang under that name. She never had concerts under the name Burda. Her career was over before she was married to Vlastimil Burda. She could no longer sing with cancer in its final stages. And usually the stage names of artists always remain the same - another reason.
Thank you, Frank, for what is clearly an ongoing Labour of love. I don’t think anyone has done more to honour Patricia’s memory. Looking forward to the next part.
I agree on the spelling, it is "Patricia Janečková". As far as I know, Mss Patricia Janečková only spoke Slovakian, and relied on phonetics when singing in other languages, making her musical talent even more impressive.
Google translate clearly has a problem with gendered languages.. "He" and "Her" are NOT interchangeable. Mss Patricia Janečková is CLEARLY not a "He". And NO, gendered languages aren't "transphobic"...
May I join with others in thanking you for this and for your La Celestia site, which is an incomparable resource for those devoted to Patricia. You are no mere 'desolate acolyte' but are evidently the high priest of the cult which unites us!
C'est formidable de continuer à nous faire découvrir Le Talent de Patricia Janeckova. Le Pape François devrait la canonisé car c'est une Sainte à la voix D'OR. SVP Pour l'amour de Dieu.
Speaking as a Catholic: Please don't, this Popes Canonizations are less than worthless. Also, exactly what Miracles did Mss Patricia Janečková perform? Using the talents given to You by God is not a miracle, it is a duty. And THAT, she did.
Hi Frank, thank you for the perfect video of Patricia's concerts. We were lucky to spend some time with this unforgettable angel with the golden voice.
Mss Patricia Janečková is singing lead in Gods Choir, with Aretha Franklin. In many of these performances, Mss Janečková is "just" a teenage school-girl, yet has an amazing voice, and stage-presence. The only voice comparable I've heard of a 14-year old was Arethe singing the Gospel in her fathers church. The recording was horrible quality, but her voice wasn't. Even more impressive is that Mss Patricia Janečková only spoke Slovakian! In all the foreign-language songs, she is relying on phonetic singing, a testament to her fantastic, God-given, musical talent. We lost the best Soprano born the last 50 years, and Mss Patricia Janečková didn't even get to join Club 27. Often, Life isn't even remotely fair... 😢
Beautiful what you said 🙏 Each day i see Patricia on my phone and most days, i have the honour to listen to her. Still in disbelieve, still hurt, still mourning 😢

What is it with google-translate and gendered languages??
NO Google, "She" and "He" are not interchangeable.
Stop this woke nonsense!

Seems like that was her wish. It's the name they use in the Ostrava theatre where she performed.
