Man, those last ~10min of the podcast where they discussed self control were excellent. And what Phil said there at the end about not seeking to do something great, so much wisdom. We live in a culture where everyone that wants to be the next influencer and wants to be seen as amazing; every believer needs to hear this.
He actually does give more than we can bear at times, because He wants us to come to Him for help!

I understand what y'all are saying. Maybe I heard it wrong. It is The Lord that helps us to deal with it, when I wouldn't be able to by myself. I know there are times that without Him, I wouldn't have been able to handle it

I have not seen my daughter for four years and we live 40 minutes away. We talked gave gifts ect....... Her 40 th birthday is 2/22/24 and I have praying we can fix this. I was not always the best mother. I changed my ways 22 years ago when i gave up alcohol. I know she just needed space. Last night she texted me and invited me for breakfast at her home and just to hang out. The first thing i did was thank Jesus . Without him this would have never happened. I am so happy. Going though a lot lately but all that takes the back seat. Thank you for your podcasts. I was tempted to say forget it and tell herI could not take this anymore. God gave me the patience to let her heal. If she wants to talk i will give her honest answers. For years i felt such guilt. Jesus forgave me so i forgave me . At times i wanted to start drinking and gamble but Jesus was there for me to take away the hurt I felt. My heart is full ❤❤❤❤❤
I had a friend who is with the Lord. She was 91 and we would spend hours talking about the scriptures.
I asked a happy looking 81year old man today what's the secret to being content with life at that age and he told me that his happiness all came from being saved, he went on saying that he was saved in 1973 and I was jealous because I was born in1977 and a late learner in Christ

I've not had much duck to eat in my lifetime, but my favorite was a Japanese flame roasted duck filet.
this thing tasted like some kind of fusion between a fine steak, chicken and bacon. Fire roasted to perfection. So tender and juicy. Five stars from me!

I think you duck hunters are extremely dedicated. I live on a river bank and it's been 17 degrees here in the morning, and a day break I'm hearing the gun shots across the river. I have to go outside that early to tend to my ducks and chickens and it's cold, reaaaaaal cold. I have to come inside in between breaking up ice in the duck pools and the chickens drinking water to warm my frozen hands that are wearing 2 pair of gloves.

Always love your podcasts! Interesting that Phil's Great Grandfather was born on the 15th of September, and died on the 19th of April. The years are different but 9/15 and 4/19 are MY grandfathers's birthdays. One (paternal) born 9/15/02 and one (maternal) born 4/19/11. All that said, 56 was way too young to die for a bunch o' COWS! LOL Be blessed. You have blessed us with your stories and examples of Godly living.
