Dr. Ornish should be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for showing clogging of arteries can be reversed by diet alone. Not to mention his studies on reversal of prostate symptoms and type 2 diabetes! The world is really lucky we have his insights and expertise! It’s past time for the Nobel!
People seem to think the more expensive a solution proves effective. Nothing could be further from the truth. The most effective means is something we can do everyday ourselves❤🙏
He is a good man but you are infinitely overstepping with this. Our Creator is not comparable to any man. There should be more doctors like him yes, agreed.
I really appreciate this very clear lecture- its simple very well presented and so inspiring - and I will quote one of the conclusions from dr Ornish “ the more they changed, the more they improved” nomatter how old and sick - what a wonderfull lecture on lifestyle changes 🎵💚🎶🐸
Those of us who are introverts are resistant to the social support message here. Sometimes we get stressed by frequent social interactions, especially when they are obligatory.
We know social interaction is important. You think it is possible if an introvert got comfortable being uncomfortable being around others, eventually they would be comfortable around others? The right mindset might help too.
I absolutely agree. I really struggle with this. The thought of groups makes me feel anxious. I have a few friends that I generally see one to one. The thought of seeking out groups is quite stressful to me.
@@juliashearer7842 Exactly... But those one on one interactions which are more genuine and meaningful are the ones that really make a positive difference anyway. The only issue is that because introverts are not comfortable in large groups, they probably end up with fewer friends. So it might be a good idea for introverts to get out of their comfort zones once in a while and socialize in groups especially if there is a chance they will find like minded people who could become their friends.
Turmeric and black pepper can he helpful for some people with arthritis. Not sure if it can reverse it but it might help with the pain. Ground flax and chia seeds might help, too (all of the above for anti-inflammatory properties). Some people find glucosamine supplements helpful but some glucosamine isn't vegan, so it's important to check the source.
Hi have you looked at the Glycocalyx Structure and Mucosa lining that makes up the most important part of the capillaries and other parts of the vascular system?
I have chronic angina, I take the same supplements as him and indeed it helps a lot. I have a good diet and not much exercise because of other health problems. Point is these supplements are probably as effective as all the rest of his program.
Dean, please, I beg you. SLOW DOWN! You sound frantic. Not a good model for your program. I should also say that 25 years ago when I went on your reversal diet, I gradually went off all my meds, my lipids stayed the same as with the meds and they still are, at 88 years old. Thanks, pal.

Thank you for all you do and for being one of my favorite professors
Very valuable video. I have always admired Dr. Ornish. My arthritis disappeared 10 years ago when I started eating only plant based.

@@pitchlumin Sure but It would help if there was evidence that social interaction positively affected introverts as well as other folks.

If it is better health you seek, this video will not be your guide. This man is a discredit to science.

Interesting how he supplements. Glad we have one containing nutients together, working for us for 30+ years.
For arthritis look into boron.
All this data is so simple and old, no wonders vegans are not getting healthier
