Question: For a cross country long pipelines at what length of the pipe a CP system would be required? Or in other words a single CP system can protect till what length of pipe?
thanks for the information sir, i just want to ask; does the cathodic protection protect pile over the water? or only the part that under water? thanks in advance
Thank you for the video. What is the minimum distance of separation that the cathode and anode need to be to prevent a short? If air is the medium between cathode and anode, what would the distance be? Thanks again.
Already they said anode will be placed around 10 meters around metal structure need to be protected which acts as a Cathode and anode will be burried beneath 1-2 meters below ground surface..
A metallic path is necessary for a electrical short. So even 1" or less of isolation would not be considered a "short". I test cp in Boston Mass. 🇺🇸 tight quarters full of potential contacts to the cathode. If its not metal to metal through the coatings, your desired current will not leave the cathode. Even in a very low resistivity soil/electrolyte.
interesting and educational.... I work as a powerline and our problem in our overhead line system are the corroded anchor rod creating down wooden poles when this anchor rod pulled out due to corrosion. can this cathodic protection applicable to protect our anchor rod from corrosion using the sacrificial anode method. the anchor rod is a galvanized 3/4" diameter.
Thanks sir very good explain
Nice information about CP
Why it is not recommended to weld Anode tube on weld joint or weld seam of the structure?
Very good overview. Thank you!
Gud explanation , mza aa gya apka vedio dekh ke
Good Explanation
Thanks
Very informative. Thank you so much
Lovely explanation thank you. How can we protect through ICCP for a stainless steel tube in air?

Good question, we need an answer
We can protect using ICCP...
Well and neat explanation.... Thank you brother and I subscribed your channel 😅
How + current given to pipeline please explain in technical term
Great explanation, please share the rectifier ratings...
Amazing Explain i like ik

Thanks for sharing 🙂☺️☺️
Very gud understanding class gud
Good video. How to know the anode is dying and needs replacement?
Thanks.
nice explanation and if possible to make one more videos rectifier working and commissioning criteria
I want cp system course
Very nice sir 👍
nicely explained thank you.
hello, can I ask why we using DC for cathodic protection instead of AC
DC current is needed to anti-corrosion due to low voltage and amperage
Great video! Thank you
Well explained !
Thank you
What application you used to make video
Kine master
Hello, what are the voltage and current involved? Could cathodic protection be used in the air with a high level of humidity?
Hello,
Have you got commissioning program for cathodic protection?
Great info. Thanks for the presentation.
Very good please share Cad welding technique with detail plzzz
🎉 great
For 1km of Gas line how much anodes are required & for fuel line?
It depends on many factors like the dia of pipeline, coating type, current density, soil resistivity etc
Thank you for the info
May 27, 2022 - Appreciate the simple yet informative explanation!! God Bless!!
Thanks for explanation and how we can get this certificate? From where in UAE
Superb....👍
Nice explanation
Thank you and keep support our channel
Nice explanation..

Btw... "Air" is not an electrolyte.
Useful information sir
