Adapted from the Novel written by Fakir Mohan Senapati also known as Father of Modern Odia Literature. The Odia Series deals with the exploitation of landless peasants in British India.
Ramachandra Mangaraj and his attitude towards the poor peasants and also his wife is established while his affinity towards Champa is also brought to the limelight.
The story revolves around the landlord Ramachandra Mangaraj and the world he has created around him in such a way that benefits only him. Fakir Mohan Senapati's novel deals with a lot of layers and also touches base with the conditions and situations that the women of that era had to deal with. This story aims to analyze and explain social reality instead of merely holding up a mirror to it.

The novel is in my syllabus also my seminar project.fakir mohan is the best poet,writer,story writer also best novelist in Odisha.i m so glad to choose this novel.i must say those people who is telling Odia language and odia book is too easy to read it.i ts not easy to understand.really its very difficult also very difficult to improve ur mark.bcoz its a literature subject.its very hard to get above 70%.if u think odia language is very easy then u can read any odia book and try to understood its words.guaranteed u must leave ur study life. it seems easy but its not.i cant compare with this.
